We used to love this place, but it just hasn't been the same lately. The vibes here have changed over the years. The amount of employees seem to be limited. The staff is friendly and great, but it just seems as if there is not enough staff. Food took a long time to make it to our table. When it did get there it was cold. I threw out about half of my fries because they were engulfed in salt. It almost tasted like someone accidentally had the salt lid fall off onto the fries. The mozzarella sticks were barely melted on the inside. Overall we have had better experiences here. We would like to try it again sometime. Maybe it was just a bad day here! My first and probably last time coming her, after my daughters gymnastics competition, the whole team went here and it was pretty busy so we got the back room and we were told we had to order at the bar, when we were ready everyone went to order at the bar. The lady taking orders gets everyone but me and one other person and we were both black as everybody else was white including the lady taking the order. We were told "You have to wait" as she took the orders of people behind us and was just skipping over us. We ended up leaving because of the disrespect we received. I have been coming to this tavern for as long as it's open. Last Friday was my very last day. Our friends were coming in from surrounding towns and 1 couple came as far as Florida. We are life long friends and we were looking forward to meeting at this establishment to be with each other and to toast a dear friend who had passed a year ago. We were having a good time. When one of our friends with their 3 daughters arrived. We were happy to see them and where extremely surprised to see they were holding Avery small (3 lb) dauschund puppy. About 5 minutes went by when the waitress approached my husband and asked him to ask our friends to take the dog outside. They said "Okay" and were on their way to take the puppy outside when the owner came running through to our table. We were all standing up because we were all greeting each other. The owner started screaming at us at the top of her lungs. Get that dog out of here you were told now get it out get it out! The whole bar stopped and looked at us. It was truly demoralizing. I then said to everyone let's go. One person said, but we ordered food! So we stayed until we ate. The food was lousy. I ordered beer braised shrimp. It was like someone opened a bag of thawed shrimp threw them in a bowl and poured warm beer over them. The majority of us are over 60 years old. We are a group of professionals. Jobs ranging from Administrators, Doctor, business owners and a judge. We did not deserve this disgusting lack of respect nor would anyone for that matter. Ladies and gents, this is a diamond in the rough. Kinda. More like a cubic zirconium in the rough (the rough being jewels from the dollar tree). I learned that this fine establishment is owned by (the now previous) bartender. That's more awesome than a possum shredding gnar in Honolulu with a boo boo. The pours are insane and the staff is extremely easy on the eyes. Seriously, they all (excluding the men) could be models and intact, some of them have been. The food, as long as it's fried or from the grill top, is gold. Prepared food however, is an ass disaster (que The heavily (and unnecessarily (unless you're really into the spice) curried) hummus). Went for dinner with two of my co-workers. I ordered the Moroccan Wings and a baby spinach salad. When the wings arrived they were tossed in a brown cinnamon and sugar sauce with a hint of heat. I am pretty familiar with Moroccan cuisine. I was expecting maybe wings dusted with hanout or tagine spices. Instead got something that tasted like chicken flavored cinnamon toast crunch. I only ate two of the eight wings on the plate. Our Bartender didn't notice or ask how our food was. He was busy watching the world cup. The spinach salad was tossed with apples, red onion and candied nuts. Everything on the plate was fresh until it was drowned in mouth puckering balsamic dressing. My salad looked more like vinegar soup. Again I barely touched my meal. The Bartender posted up at the opposite end of the bar to watch the soccer game. We tried flagging him down but settled for grabbing our check from another Bartender. I believe in giving places a second chance but, with so many other options in the area I probably won't go back. read more

Lebanon doesn't have a lot to offer in the way of night life. If you're really in the mood to go out and don't want to spend a lot of money, head the the "Lounge". There are plenty of TVs for watching sports and decent bar service. Food is typical bar food, but satisfying. Smoking has recently been eliminated indoors, which is a big plus! Room in the back with additional bar and pool tables. Can get crowded with large groups or busy nights. Good luck fighting your way to the back where the bathrooms are. read more

The more I go here, the less impressed I am. Last night though was my last straw. The server kept ignoring us, then when we finally got his attention he made a fool out of us. There were 7 of us celebrating a birthday. It was a great evening all around. Service, food, beer, atmosphere & entertainment - excellent! I had the lamb chop special with green beans & mashed potatoes. Lamp chops were tender & tasty. The name itself is a bit confusing. It's certainly much more of an Irish Pub meets Sports Bar kind of a place. I don't necessarily mean that in a negative way. It's just when I think of a Lounge I normally think of martinis and couches. Neither of which are a specialty here. For Lebanon PA, I was impressed with their draft beer selection. While they still had the standard mass produced beers, there were also some craft/micro selections (Dogfish Head, Ballast Point, Troegs, etc.) as well. Nice to see. Hiring practices that could rival Hooters, the staff brings an extra star to the rating as well. Ample TV's and a cosy Irish Pub feel, make this a great place to catch the game. read more

We stopped in here for lunch while doing some last minute Christmas shopping. One thing to definitely try, is their Ringside fries. Basically a loaded order of fries, with bacon, onions, and a couple different cheeses. I got the Pittsburgh Chicken Panini, and was actually quite tasty. The wife got one of their signature burgers... the bacon could have been crisper... but if that's the worst thing, it's not going to stop from ordering it again. They have a huge (relatively speaking for the area) on tap selection, with a variety of different types of beer. Lots of tv's for game day as well. Check it out if you're in town. My favorite place in Lebanon! Tuesday night you can get the best cheese steak (Chicken or beef) for $3.99! The menu is great as their are lots of options, specials etc. The quality of the food as well as the presentation is spot on. I can't review much. I had a beer and on a whim tried their taco mac and cheese soup. It was actually really tastey. It came with some tortilla chips, red onion, lettuce and tomato toppings. The soup seemed to have like a cheesy creamy base. It had macaroni and some hamburger meat in it. I had to try it based off of the name and it was suprisingly tastey. Decent beer at a decent price. I went with friends and business associates for dinner. I was the first one to arrive a few minutes after 5. Only a few people were at the bar and 2 tables were occupied. We had reserved tables. No one asked if I wanted a drink until everyone else arrived 20 minutes later and I was the last one to be asked. When they did, I told them right away that I was going to place my order and that I wanted my check right away because I needed to leave by 6:30, which was more than an hour later. That should have been plenty of time to get my cup of soup and crab fries. I paid my check by card. At this point the restaurant had more occupied tables. Other people at my table started to get entire entrees before me and I asked for our server to check on my order. She came back and said they were working on it. 6:00 came and I asked again. She brought back a lukewarm cup of soup and said they were putting the crab fries into a takeout container. At that point I thought she was going to walk back to get them and bring it out to me but she didn't come back for 20 more minutes. I asked about it again because I had to leave and she refused to go check on it. If they were really putting them in a container, then she should have just been able to walk back there and grab them. She said "they are already annoyed at me for asking". Meanwhile most of the rest of my party had appetizers and entrees. She came back and threw cash in the exact amount of the crab fries on the table and walked away. My request wasn't unreasonable and I've never been treated so poorly in a restaurant. I am at this restaurant several times a month and I bring friends and always tip well. Up until this point we had received friendly service. This was disappointing to say the least. Great cheesesteak but service by older waitress was terrible. She spent more time talking to the regulars then acknowledging my existence, esp considering bar was relatively empty at 4:30pm.
