The price list clearly listed a Full Groom for Dogs up to 30 pounds as $38.00. My dog only weighs 15 lbs. I was charged $70. Additionally, my dog came back to me with razor burns all over his tummy. It was a huge mistake on my part because other reviews listed the same issues and I took my dog there anyway figuring "you can't please everyone". I should have payed attention to the warnings. I brought both my dogs in for grooming today. Unfortunately my smaller dog bit two of the groomers. In the process, the female had her apple watch broken. When I returned to pick up the dogs I was confronted, badgered and made to feel bad because so I would pay to replace the watch. I felt it unprofessional and offered to pay half to replace the watch ( which I felt shouldn't have been worn during this process) . They responded by saying "call the police" to report my dog for destruction.Needless to say I was coerced into paying the entire $250 extra, AND WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN! read more

i just moved from california to arizona 2 months ago so i needed to find a new groomer for my 8 month old cocker spaniel, read the reviews on this place and decided it was the best fit for him and i was right! This groomers is amazing and takes the time to give your pup the special one on one attention they need and deserve, i was a little nervous bringing him in bcz he's still a puppy and gets nervous but she made sure to make me feel as comfortable as possible, updating me multiple times throughout his apt with pictures and texts! he looks amazing and was super happy being there, 10/10 recommend both the wife and husband are amazing and i will be taking my pup here every time from now on out :) they even took him out on a potty break and have great prices for the care they give your pup! read more

We just got our dog, Argos, groomed here for the first time today! He is sometimes scared of the groomers, but today he felt right at home. The outside of this business is simple but inside smells good and the owners are friendly and did an excellent job on him. All of the dogs inside looked very happy to be at the doggy spa. I have taken my dog Ellie to this place a couple of time. When I called to make an appointment they asked ehat kind of dog, big or . I told them she was a mixed breed and that she weighed about 5 -6 pounds. We scheduled an appointment for Friday the 23rd at 10AM. A while later I got a call back from them and was told that I was unwelcome, because I yelled at someone (Diane) and that I made her uncomfortable. First off I never yelled at anyone, but I did callback and spoke to someone and she said that Diane was shaking. Once again I reiterated that I never yelled at anyone, but in order to smooththings over I would be willing to apologize for whatever. Unacceptable to them for some reason. Oh and in closing she even made a veiled threat that her husband was there! I'm 73 years old and that doesn't scare me one iota, but if they feel the need to threaten people for no reason. Our dog passed away after a "grooming and dip". Truly DISSAPPOINTED Mandy our Maltese dog passed away this afternoon, after "being flea and tick dipped" and "groomed". She was coughing after the appointment at your place of business today at 8 am. She passed away this afternoon. Anyone else could have done a better at shaving her, to her skin. Her ear hair wasn't cut even, tuff's of hair was still here and there Needless to say she's not going to be going to your place of business any more. You can tell they truly care for the dogs that come in to get groomed. I have not ever been disappointed with the customer service or grooming my dog has received. We took our dog Bandit to Dogs Day Out on a recommendation from our neighbor. The first time we took him there, we were still new dog owners. Twice before our first visit to Dogs Day Out, we actually just took Bandit to Petsmart. It was expensive, and the "groomers" there didn't particularly strike me as dog lovers. (Well, not all of them, anyways.) The people at Dogs Day Out are friendly, and you can really tell that they absolutely LOVE dogs. Not only that, they do a superb job with Bandit. He comes out of there looking happy. They even put a little bandana around his neck when he's done. The prices there are very fair, and much less than chain stores. So, I'll say it again! These ladies are FANTASTIC!! They do such an amazing job, and they are so friendly and accommodating. My two little boys can be a royal pain in the ass. They always go out of their way to take care of them, and molly coddle them. I was certain I was going to have to completely shave my little one (he is a papillion and his fur had gotten horribly knotted) but Nikki took the time to work on him (it took her a good two hours!) and he looked amazing when she was done. No need for shaving! They gave me a discount because of two referrals I had made, and what should have cost a ton of money, did not. They are so awesome! So, I always go to Petsmart to get my dog groomed. I wanted to try a new place since I paid on average of $60 at Petsmart. The groomers here were friendly, listened to my concerns and what kind of hair cut I wanted for teddy. I asked for a puppy cut and they did an amazing job. Teddy's tail looks so adorable, his sanitary area was trimmed and he smelled amazing. Teddy also got a bandana. All you dog lovers should try this place. read more

There aren't enough words to express how fantastic Nikki and Dog's Day Out treated me and a little stray puppers that I found. I found a dog that had been living on the streets for a very long time. He was a matted, tick infested mess. Nikki volunteered to clean him up for me so we could get him handsome enough and recognizable enough to find either his lost home or a new home. We love Dogs Day Out! Our dog is very sensitive, and sometimes with other groomers he comes back traumatized and shaking for a few days. Never with these groomers: he's always happy and feeling good afterwards! They also cut his hair in the cutest style so he looks like a teddy bear. I have just recently moved to Chandler and was looking for a groomer to bring my two small dogs. I was quite disappointed at what I saw. When I pulled up for our 8am appointment all 3 employees were standing outside the front door smoking. They had the front door open with two dogs in the back. One of the dogs was chained up in the back half groomed. The place inside was dirty and unkept. The employees were nice, but did not seem to have a clue what was going on. When I went back to pick both if my dogs off they gave me the wrong leashes and had no clue what one of my dog's name was, even though it is in big black letters on his collar. The on,y reason I give them 2 stars is because they did a nice job on groom, the place is just too dirty for me to want to go back. It also concerns me that they think it is okay to leave dogs alone in the back while they are all out front smoking. read more

This was my 2nd time coming here. I came back when I visited AZ in July as well. I did not get a full groom, I just take my dogs here to get their nails trimmed/filed. Its priced super reasonable! I felt terrible because my larger dog was not easy to do. She kept trying to get away. I felt worse when we took my two home and came back with my moms crazy untrained dog! The two groomers certainty got their work out for the day btwn my dog and my moms. My dog is trained but does not like the nails being trimmed! The sound scares her and she wants her paws left alone. I do not like to do myself so I will be back again, likely in April. (This is me warning Dog's day out of my return). read more

Awesome! One of the few small businesses that meet my expectations and then some. I am relatively new here and was looking for a groomer for my almost 100 pd. dog german shepard mix. He blows two coats ( top and undercoat) and it is impossible for me to keep up when the weather changes even brushing daily. Hair just falls off him in clumps when he walks... that is the condition he was in... I called DDO and got a quick appointment at the time I wanted. I asked for a bath/shedding treatment. They were friendly and professional at drop off. Even though he is big, it only took two hours. The best part was when I went to pick him up. He was almost sleeping in the middle of the floor, no stress whats so ever. And WHAT a job!! He was super clean and ALL his lose hair was gone! All at a price 30% less then what I have been charged else where for a so so or bad job. Other places have all this fancy "treatment" stuff that doesn't do so great a job but cost an arm and leg .... If you want groomer, you have to try this place. They are near the freeway so convent to most in the area. I will get him groomed more because the price is right and quality is high. Wonderful! I was looking for a nearby groomer that didn't charge an arm and a leg. Called several places before a friend recommended Dog's Day Out. While they are about the same price as other groomers in the area, you get so much more bang for your buck! While other groomers were going to charge me $45 for a standard groom (without clip) for my beagle, they charged me a bit less AND offered more services! They were even willing to put my beagle's ear drops in after cleaning. I was told they would be done in 3 hours, which is not unreasonable for 2 dogs. And, Nicki called me 2 hours later! Very unexpected and a nice surprise to pick up my babies early! They always have specials and discounts. They just want your babies to look fabulous without breaking the bank! My babies LOVED their day at the spa and being pampered by Nicki! They can't wait to go back! :) read more
