i have a pomeranian that's pretty difficult to deal with just because he's so irritable. i call it spicy but honestly he kind of goes feral when feeling threatened, probably because he's so small and also a little inbred his groomer kyla matthews always manages to thoroughly clean him with the spa package we buy every month. she also takes some pictures of him throughout his grooming and sends it over, which is super sweet. so far, he also hasn't had any complications with his appointments and she also provides helpful updates on his skin and fur condition, as well as recommendations for particular treatments that she thinks could help him. i would personally recommend this place; it's been a few years since we first brought him in and i don't have any plans of changing that! read more

the 1st 2 times we brought our dog here it was great. The second time I was told my dog pooped after being groomed which seemed to make heather the dog groomer angry, so she raised our price. The following time we brought our dog we were told the owners son would be grooming him. When we came back we were told it took 2 people to do the grooming so next time we came our dog would have to be given medication from the vet beforehand. No thanks! read more

Amazing Experience with Avery at More Than A Groomer! This was my first time using Avery's services at More Than A Groomer, and I couldn't be happier! She did an incredible job with my dog--she looks absolutely perfect and was so happy and comfortable when I picked her up that I can only imagine she was happy the entire time. Avery clearly cares about the dogs she works with and takes pride in what she does. DO NOT COME HERE. I brought my sweet dog here today to get a haircut trusting that they would take care of him, but I was wrong. When I went to pick him up he was in the kennel crying and barking. When he was brought out by his never again groomer, Jazmin, he had blood dripping down his arm and it was on the floor. They claimed it was from one of his nails being cut too short, but I looked at his paws each one of his nails had blood. This is terrible, and I will never be back again. I hope my dog does not get an infection from the carelessness and poor work ethic this place embraces. Not only that but be aware the host is not friendly either. When I was waiting for my little guy to be brought out a customer was on the phone, and apparently hung up, because she said "Oh good... they hung up... not my problem". I will never come here again, and trust me you do not want to come here either. read more

I have been bringing my bichon Frise to see Jasmine for the past 3 years. He is the only groomer he knows. Jasmine is great with Lewis and she treats him well. Today she gave him his bath with blueberry whitening shampoo. After all he is white. I drive from Queen Creek to Chandler at least 30 minutes depending on traffic. I will continue to make the drive every 5 weeks to keep my looking good. I highly recommend Jasmine. The staff is great. 5 STAR REVIEW read more

Jazmin has groomed Jack at Wag and now More Than A Groomer. We have always been happy with her and how she grooms Jack so perfectly. She always takes Jack when I arrive and hands him to me when I pick him up. I have never had a groomer do that before except here. The facility is clean and the front reception has been kind and very helpful. Once I talked to the receptionist about how Jack paws get so dirty from the resurfaced streets and they used a shampoo that worked very well. I wanted to bathe him after about two weeks and she said she thinks three is better for his skin. She is always thinking about Jack and very professional. I am so happy she is still close by and cares so much for her furry clients. She always puts them first. Her kindness and genuine concern for Jack and pleasing pleasing me with his grooming shows with every visit. She groomed my sisters elderly dog Dixie and they treated her like a queen. I am thrilled to write this review as she makes my life easier because I trust and appreciate her caring for our sweet little Jack. read more

We began taking our 3 dogs to More Than a Groomer when our regular groomer Jazmin started working there. Jazmin has always taken such good care of our dogs and we request her services when we schedule, since she does such good grooms. Our dogs aren't easy; one is soon to be 16 and is fragile, another is a 'dasher" who would take off out the door if there's a chance of escape, and the third is really active and not easy to bathe. Ashley groomed our oldest dog today and she looks gorgeous! Good job, Ashley! All in all, the facility is clean, and responsive to our scheduling needs. I would highly recommend their services. They never answer the phone. You have to use the check in your pet line to schedule an appointment and that's IF they answer that line as well, but typically have better luck with someone answering that one. If they didn't have my previous groomer, I probably wouldn't take my dogs here. read more

We have been going here for years now with Kora. We miss our original guy but all the groomers are very kind. They upgraded their space a bit ago and it looks amazing. Very much care for the pooches. We had a bad experience once, but it was out of their control -- a fire alarm went off and delayed everything and they were busy handling that. That's life! We have brought our dog to More than a Groomer for years and have watched service go from wonderful to absolutely awful. They have changed ownership a couple of times and with that has come two significant price raises. However, we loved our groomer Mike so we stayed with him. Then Mike left, and we've been bounced around to different groomers who all, in an unbelievably bad stroke of luck for us, it seems, call in sick on the one day we are scheduled-over and over. This morning, an hour before our appointment, they cancelled on us again. This has happened the last THREE times we have scheduled appointments and it takes weeks to get an appointment to begin with. When I voiced my dismay, the woman who answered the phone said that she could squeeze my 12 year old dog into her schedule but that it would take all day because she would have to do it between answering phone calls!? Not fair to my dog or to us, long time customers. We will not be back. read more

We've been going to more than a groomer for years. I had an appointment today at 9 o'clock. I was running behind, so I called to let them know I was running behind.. They didn't answer the phone and it went to voicemail. I told them I would be about 15 minutes late. When I got there 15 minutes behind schedule, there was nobody at the front desk. when I went in the back to find someone I was informed that I was hugely late and I had not let them know so they would not be taking my dog today. I don't mind the fact that they're busy and booked very tightly, if they're gonna be that tight, they should let people know in advance and they should have somebody on the phone that can tell people running behind if you can't be on time you should rearrange your appointment. My time is valuable as well and I went all the way down for the grooming before I was turned away. obviously they don't train their groomers to be polite to their customers. LOVE THIS PLACE. I was struggling for months finding the right groomer for my puppy. Every other groomer i took him to he always came back soaking wet, not trimmed and with shampoo in his eyes. He's very fluffy and high energy so I was so grateful when I found someone who could not only handle him but love him! I've only been coming here for a short amount of time but so far I cant imagine taking my dog anywhere else. The whole staff is so sweet and he looks perfect when he's all done.
