It was Biff's first grooming here and it was fabulous! It smells so clean and looks like a caring and organized operation. Diane the groomer did a super job on Biff and talked with me before and after like she was happy Biff was there! Biff is once again a WHITE standard poodle that looks great! Unfortunately we had a very bad experience at this daycare. Within the first week of attending, one of our dogs came home with two significant puncture wounds that required a vet visit and antibiotics. While we were assured that the camera footage (for every single minute that she was there when this could have occurred?) were reviewed, nothing was "found". We are not able to receive a refund for our days purchased but will NOT ever be returning. The policy to not turn anyone away and no reservations required had me a bit hesitant in the beginning. Too many dogs and not enough oversight is a very bad way to run a doggy daycare. I'll be returning to a more structured and safe environment for our dogs moving forward with a manageable dog to person ration. read more

Yay! I think we found our daycare! Our pup-pup, Trace, has done a couple days here. We like everything we have seen so far. With pup-pup in tow, both of us still half asleep, we headed in for his evaluation last Friday. Becky came out to greet us. She was really welcoming, and my dog did not shy away from her like he does some other new people....just his usual excited nervousness in a new environment. Without me even asking, she asked if I would like to go back into the playroom with him to help him be more comfortable....I was really happy about that. They said he could stay a full day if he did ok throughout the morning. The BF picked him up, and they said he played really well with all the dogs, and he was welcome anytime. He had been outside, but had the option to go inside also. We have taken him back once since the eval, and he came home happy. :) read more

I should have know from their list of dog breeds they don't except that this place is kind of a douchy asshole. As a company that works with dogs you would think they would know a thing or two about breeds. A PITBULL is not a breed!! But I digress they can choose the breeds they want, it is their business (there are other breeds on the that are some of the most kind dogs ever, it just goes to show this company doesn't know anything about dogs) Well our pup is what I like to call an American Mutt, our vet calls a Lab mix (based on his DNA, he has more Lab and Hound and Herd dog breeds) but some call him a pit mix. He was at least given a evaluation that in less than 15 minutes they said he would not be admitted to they day care and that he would be kenneled until we picked him up and we would be held liable for any damages to the kennel. What!! In less than 15 minutes you can tell he is not a fit for you? When my wife picked him up they said he was way to energetic for them (what dog doesn't get excited when they go someplace new) and that they have a strict rule about dogs that are too bouncy (What!?! Too bouncy are you kidding me) Did I mention he is one and a half years old? It's like if they were a day care for children, bit they have a policy on kids who cry. They said he wasn't aggressive that he just might have more energy then the staff can handle. (Sounds like they should learn to groups dogs more effectively or just learn about dogs in general.) Well we know that this place isn't the tight fit for our dog. And maybe not for your dog. My wife is also a vet tech and I'm sure she isn't going to be promoting this doggie day care to anyone. read more

I am not sure where to start. Our dog dog went to DDO for about a year and a half and would go 3-4 days per week. This location is very convenient for us and for the first few months we thought this place was great, but the following things occurred which makes us not willing to go back EVER- even if it was free! Our dog caught giardia there at least 6 times. The first time she caught it, we took her to our Vet (that we love) and she said that the likely culprit was DDO. We spoke to the owner (Becky) and the manager (Terrie) and they told us that our Vet was out to get them (our Vet has never named a single daycare- even after our prodding) because they were in cahoots with another doggy daycare and that our dog could never have caught it there and she caught it at home. They said if she did catch it at DDO it was due to our dog's love for poop. Becky said that our dog would eat the poop while it was falling out of other dogs- which I do not believe as when we take her on walks and she sees/smells other dog poop she walks at the edge of her leash to get away from it. They were adamant that my Vet didn't know what she was talking about and that our dog had to catch it somewhere else. Our dog got on meds and tested negative. Fast forward another month or so and she caught it again. We had the same talk with the owner and manager, again it was not their fault and our Vet did not know what she was talking about. We asked if they could put up a sign letting all the other owners know that one of their dogs has giardia and to please be tested and bring back something from their Vet showing they had been tested and were negative. They said no way. For a place that says their main focus is their love for dogs, this shows this is not the case. We got sick of telling them every month that she was catching it as they would do nothing. Every trip to the Vet was ~$100 and this started to get expensive. Now that she has not been there for 2 months she has not had giardia once- the longest time she has gone without it since starting at DDO. Coincidence? I think not. What was the breaking point for us and why I would NEVER recommend this place is our 15 pound dog had her tooth knocked out by a "very big dog". When we first started taking her to DDO, we asked that she not play with big dogs as even getting stepped on by one could potentially hurt her. They showed us that they had the building divided with fences and that small dogs would stay on one side and big dogs on the other which we liked. We received a call from Terrie letting us know that our dog and a "very big dog" were going after the same ball and the big dog knocked our dog's canine tooth out. She said that it was bleeding and we needed to come get her to take her to the Vet ASAP. What kind of daycare would even allow a "very big dog" (in Terrie's words) and a small 15 pound dog go after the same ball? The Vet bill ended up being $1200 as the tooth needed to be removed. DDO would not help out in anyway and said they were not liable due to their contract. I get this, but at the same time if one of my employee's had done something that damaged a client I would take some responsibility for it. This place has no responsibility for anything- everyone is out to get them. They are in it for the $$ solely and don't know much about dogs- or at least they do not act like it. I wish we would have found this out sooner- would have saved us the thousands of dollars we spent there. read more

I have a small yorkie mix who is very timid. She loves Dogs Day Out. As soon as I open the car she races to the door and can't wait to greet the staff. This from a dog who still won't let our regular neighbors touch her. They always have great things to say at the end of the day, and post pictures regularly on their website. read more

Been taking our dog there for boarding the last few months. I love that he gets play time all day rather than being crated the whole time we're gone. The staff was super friendly and gave me a very lengthy tour and visit when I came the first time to check it out. It's great because they have an outdoor area too, staff is always friendly. Price is about the same as others, my only issue was one day when we came to pick him up they charged me an extra $10 ($5/hr) because we dropped him off at 9 the day before and picked him up at 10:30ish - so it was longer than 24 hours and we were charged $5 an hour. I've never had a boarding place be so precise with the time and it's expensive if you are late, but other than that, no complaints, great place. My dog seems to like it there and always comes home good and tuckered out! read more

The employees and management are true dog lovers which allows you to feel very comfortable and confident to leave your dog. They always arrive extremely excited and go home very happy and exhausted. This is a review for grooming. Mandi is absolutely incredible! It took us eight years - but I we finally found the perfect groomer. After dozens of visits to petsmart and Petco (which take numerous hours, lots of crating, and inconsistent haircuts) we were feeling very frustrated. We tried to do some haircuts at home but even with a glass of wine (for us) and sedatives (for the dog) we just were not cut out for grooming (it was a sight to see, for sure). Another groomer (who was fully booked) recommended Mandi - so we decided to give her a try. Mandi has truly saved the day!! She did a full groom in 1.5 hours (significantly shorter than ANY haircut we've ever experienced for our dog). Mandi was extremely professional, kind, sincere, and great to work with. She was able to give our pup a phenomenal haircut and individualized love and attention! When we arrived for pick up she was sitting at the front desk holding our dog in her lap waiting for us. He came home feeling at ease and looking adorable. We won't be going anywhere else!! read more

Lily is a special girl....rescue pup, cow dog...anxious. But she always loved DDO....the dogs and the staff. To this day it amazes me how much she loved going there, always. She lit up like a Christmas tree every darned time! She didn't jump on us when we picked her up....not sure she really wanted to leave. Sadly, we moved and leaving DDO behind was really hard for us. Yep, we've found another daycare in our new city but it's taken Lily 5 months to be happy about going. Yet, it only took her 1 day with DDO. We cannot say enough happy things about DDO! read more

WOW! We will never use these guys again! In the past they have done a great job with our dogs. We had an appointment for today, and since we live quite a ways away, we schedule our appointments for later in the day when our son takes his Martial Arts classes. The groomer just called and was completely unprofessional to my wife on the phone and wanted her to come in earlier today for the appointment, which unfortunately wasn't an option for her schedule. Then he wanted her to reschedule for Thursday, which also wasn't an option. He then proceeded to tell her with an angry voice that it's ridiculous that he would have to sit around there all day when they only scheduled him for 2 grooming appointments. Well, I'm sorry, that is not our problem, and he was completely unprofessional about it. I only wish that my wife had caught his name, as he needs to be reported to his manager and relieved of his position. He is definitely not representing the company in the way I'd think they would want to be represented. Needless to say, we will be finding a new place to take our dogs, and they have lost a customer. read more

Wonderful doggie day care! My boys and I tried 3 other day cares before finding Dogs Day Out. They love it! When we go they don't even wait to say goodbye. They just head on back as if they own the place. These are decent sized dogs 70 lb and 45 lb doggies. They have a blast and I truly appreciate the attention they receive while there ALL day. Not a single star. I hope that dogs are treated well behind the doors, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. I have already complained to the Better Business Bureau, but I also wanted to share my experience on yelp. I left my dog on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. for boarding. I came back to pick her up on Sunday afternoon. Instead of being charged for the original boarding fee of $35, I have instead been charged $63. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the lady who was there, and she told me that if I have a problem, I should call back and speak with management. A few days later, I called and the same lady picked up the phone (She had a very distinguishing voice) and she introduced herself as management this time. The explanation was that the site was close between 11.00 AM -4.00 PM and that their policy is to charge day care rates during those hours. Why? There is no one there (payroll expense equal to zero), dogs are in cages (I guess water and food is provided before closing), so what is actually reason for this charge? On another hand I was able to pick my dog at noon that day, but guess what, they were closed. So my observation of this business is that people who run this place are more interested in money, quick money, I should say vs. building relationships with clients. This was my first and last time there. read more

I had been taking my dog to this place for a couple of years, since she was a puppy off and on for boarding and daycare. I hadn't had any issues, in fact they always told me how well she was doing. But the last time I took her in...they said the same thing. No problems, except maybe a small issue was another dog that wasn't anything major. So, I thought great...until I got the letter in mail saying my dog was no longer welcome for daycare or boarding. A LETTER in the mail. No phone call. It stated that my dog was showing more and more aggression, that she was jumping on the staff and they recommended training. Instead of calling me or talking to me when I picked her up, they did the most cowardly and unprofessional thing and sent a letter in the mail. I have had no issues with my dog. She occasionally jumps up on people...until I tell them what to do to keep her from doing that (something I learned in training that these dog "professionals" obviously had no clue about.). I would not recommend this place just for the fact that the owner prefers to deal with issues that way. read more
