I've been taking my dog here for about 6 months now and this place is the best! I've researched most doggie day care places in Beaverton/Hillsboro and this place has by far the best price with the 3 month plan. Jack is very excited every morning when we pull into the parking lot and he's always dying to get in the door which tells me he obviously loves it there! When I hear my pup give a huge sigh as he flops over onto the living room floor and starts snoozing away after a long day at day care it makes me very happy :) This place has allowed me to keep my dog content while I'm at work and what more could a dog owner ask for? The staff has been so friendly, the front receptionist in particular is very nice and funny! I think my only ask would be to have the video feeds viewable online so we can check in on our pups while we're at work. I know other day cares do that. Love this place! Love their service and the staff is always friendly and I appreciate the fact that they have cameras so I can tune in during my workday and check out how my pups are doing. It's a very convenient location for me and pick ups/drop offs are so fast and easy! My only star deduction is because my dogs always come home with a horrible stench compared to other daycares they've gone to... :( so they need constant bathing now which is a bit of a hassle. Not sure what the heck they do to smell so bad, but I guess they come home happy and tired end of day so I'll continue to put up with it :) read more

I've been taking my dog to A Dog Gone Good Place for just over 4 years. From the time she was old enough to go and be evaluated until now she has gone at least 1 day per week and I leave her with them when I travel. She is always excited to get out into the yard and play and when I bring her home she is pooped from a full day. Pricing is reasonable and the amenities are great. I can tell that all the workers love dogs and I don't hesitate to leave her there. I know she's in great hands. It's convenient because there is an on-site groomer as well, so I have my girl brushed out once a month. She's a Klee Kai and sheds like nobody's business. It's great being able to check in during the day on the cameras and check on my dog. I also like that there are scheduled rest times so the dogs don't get overstimulated. That's when fights happen. I have referred many people here and will continue to do so. My only regret is not coming to ADGGP sooner. My puppy (ok, maybe me too) has had some separation anxiety, and I thought about doggy daycare as a way to better socialize him, but never made it in until a rather last minute decision to attend a family reunion out of the country. I spoke with a really nice woman on the phone who recommended I bring him in for an evaluation a few weeks before to make sure it was a good fit. Walking in, I immediately got a great feeling about leaving my dog there over places I've used in the past. When I picked him up from the evaluation, Lynn thoroughly went over the process and gave some great advice about bringing him in several times before boarding and about timing the drop off. I was really concerned about my dog not getting enough human interaction, but he was able to play with the littles and come up to the front area so he'd be more comfortable. Knowing I was really nervous about leaving my dog for the first time, for so long, with limited communication, Lynn made sure to reach out a few times to reassure me my pup was doing just fine! I found the pricing and location to be great for the service we received. All the staff I've interacted with have been really nice. I feel so relieved to have a trusted place to board my dog, and will continue to use the daycare on a weekly basis- as I'm sure it's good for both of us! I would definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

I have mixed feelings about ADGGP - I've been taking my puppy there for a few weeks now, and my puppy's in the small dogs "zone". I use their services because I work overnight and am just too tired during my work days to take my puppy out and if I try to, I suffer then at work being too tired the next night. ADGGP helps to provide her an outlet for her energy and some socialization while I have time to sleep. I really like that you can watch your dog(s) from the camera system...after I figured out how to emulate Internet Explorer in order to get the camera system functional (please see below as I'll provide instructions on how to use their camera system on a non-IE browser). I also really like ADGGP's early drop off and late pickup options for people that work less conventional hours (note that late pickup is an additional $10 fee). What I'm not so thrilled about is the gap between amenities offered to the big dogs vs. the little dogs. The adolescent and big dogs have access to the outdoors and little bone shaped wader pools (big dogs have access to a full size pool too). There's also some agility style items in the outdoor area, like a tube that the adolescents can walk through. The little dogs on the other hand are stuck inside all day. As far as I'm aware, the indoor facility is not climate controlled (I could be wrong). So during these summer months the little dogs don't have as much relief from the hot weather - now granted it might be cooler inside still than outside w/ the pools but I don't know as you're not allowed back in the area that your dog stays in. The staff also told me on very hot days they do bring a little bone wader pool over for the small dogs. There aren't a lot of toys or structures to play on in the little dog area to offer some mental stimulation and variety. There's sometimes a few bone looking objects on the floor, rings, or balls available. There's also sometimes 3 beds offered and sometimes they have blankets in them. Otherwise, your small dog is just in a cement(?) enclosure or in a cage all day. If other dogs don't want to play with your dog they're stuck just kinda sitting there all day till you come to get them. There are far fewer playmates in the small dog zone than the big dog zone so your smaller dog with a lot of energy might not have a playmate that matches their energy level. I also notice that typically the little dogs' pee and poop is only cleaned up once a day. So if it is a busy day, your dog might have to avoid pee and poop. Note that I did ask why the little ones don't get to go outside, and the answer was that the little ones can't be watched and might get under their fence. I can understand this from a safety perspective. I also wanted to bring up staffing - I notice that on the big, adolescent, and little sides that the staff rarely spend time with the dogs other than cleaning up after them or introducing another dog to the pack: like they don't pet them, brush them, throw toys, supervise in person (I do believe the front desk staff supervises them remotely), or talk to them from what I've witnessed on the camera system. Maybe some "people time" happens off sight of the camera system, but it seems like your dog(s) are on their own by in large at ADGGP. I suspect that there just isn't enough money for additional staffing so that the staff have the time to do more than just clean up and do maintenance. If there was more staffing I'm guessing that the little dogs would be able to have some time outside like their bigger dog cousins too. I hope in the future that this can change. I will give ADGGP credit that my puppy looks forward to coming here each day and doesn't want to leave to come home. The staff are starting to get to know us too. The reason why I'm being critical is not to slam ADGGP, but to hopefully offer a lens to help make some changes for the betterment of ADGGP. I know that staffing can be expensive, but perhaps you could introduce even 15 min a day of "people time" to each "zone" - small, adolescent, and big & add some fun enrichment items each day to the small dog "zone" so it's not just a cement floor, like maybe a tube or a wader pool, or even maybe a ball pit. For now, I use ADGGP because its location is very convenient for me, and it offers what I need - which is respite to sleep. However, if there was another better option for little dogs close by, I would go to them. ADGGP clearly caters to big dogs. Now, as promised, about their camera system. They use a camera system that only works with Internet Explorer called HikVision. Since Internet Explorer (IE) is being phased out, you might need to use an emulator app to make your modern browser compatible with this legacy program. After evaluation I was charged $60 more than I should have been. I confronted the lady about it, and was given a weird, around-the-bush answer as to why it was so expensive. It made no sense, and I told her so. After the "miscommunication" she admitted they overcharged me and gave me my money back. I booked my dog in for five days of boarding. Let me start by saying my dog has been to many kennels over the years and has never had any issues. Imagine my surprise when my husband picked her up the other day, and I immediately noticed a large, terribly red abrasion/wound on her nose. It is swollen, and looks as if the skin had been rubbed right off and is starting to scab over. How could she get such a large, open wound with no care from the staff? As if that wasn't bad enough, she also has a bacterial eye infection. We had to take her to the vet and get eye ointment for her. Even the vet said she had a nasty eye infection. Her eye has been red and leaking yellow/green mucus for the past few days since we got her, and is just now starting to show improvement. It worries me to imagine if we had left her there longer, like two weeks. They clearly would have not done anything to help her nose wound or eye infection. Do you know what happens if you don't treat an eye infection? Vision loss! The vet also told us to keep her nose wound clean, to keep that clear from infection, as well. Again, if that had been infected who knows what could have happened to her. My last complaint is after bringing my dog home, she slept for almost two days straight. I know this kennel says the dogs "play hard" here, but I'm sorry, for my dog to basically be in a coma for days from exhaustion is way too much. Or she was completely stressed out there and finally felt like she could relax at home. I will never know what happened to my poor dog while she was in there. She obviously had a rough time and was injured and got an infection. We will definitely not be back. read more

I took my dog here for a bit. I never had any trouble with professionalism or my dog coming home with owies. I liked a lot of the people that worked there. My issue is the kenneling. When I think of a doggie daycare, I think that the dogs get to run and play and be free ALL day. That is not the case for this place. While, they were up front about the kenneling windows, I would sometimes come there at around 4:30 and my dog is already kenneled for the day when that is supposed to take place at 5 pm. So it made me wonder how much time they were actually spending in kennels. One of the workers there was honest with me and we came to the conclusion that the dogs are actually only playing maybe 4 hours a day. So that means you're paying all that money for your dog to be kenneled at least half of the day, if not more. Also, if you're a monthly member, any days you don't bring your dog in, you lose; which is frustrating. However, you can buy days instead of a monthly access but you don't get the same benefits and they do expire. There is also no climate control in the indoor play areas which is a concern for me when it's too hot or too cold. I had to go back and get my dog once and I did not appreciate how old and rusted some of the kennels were. The outdoor areas, however are wonderful and they have a big pool for the dogs to play in. Gotta pick your poison. I ended up not continuing with this place. She's at a daycare where she has freedom all day, an air conditioned indoor play area and an outdoor area (though it's small). read more

This is the best daycare I have experienced and I have been a loyal customer for two years. My dog is very very energetic and she started going their as a puppy. They provide some extra training throughout the day by making them pay attention and not just setting the dogs loose together. Some daycares will mix the dog types but this place has several yards for each type of dog, including puppies, adolescents, little, and large. There are pools in each area when the summers are hot. Every day the dogs get a "nap" in an individual kennel between 12 and 2 so they can eat and wind down a bit in peace. For overnight stays, the price may seem more expensive until you factor in what they do for the dogs. The price includes a full day at daycare, their own indoor room with a bed and a peanut butter filled kong at night. There is no extra add ons for extra attention or the occasional treat (those are included throughout the day). Perhaps my best example of their service is the care they take for the animals and how closely they pay attention to them. When I was getting divorced I started taking my dog to dog parks more and I was a "single" parent, my dog started acting up and getting aggressive with the other dogs. The owners pulled me aside to let me know what was going on and asked me if there was anything happening that may be causing her actions. My dog was actually close to getting kicked out of daycare! When I told them what was going on they immediately understood and asked if I would bring her three times a week for a couple months. She said that she would personally work with my pup so that she can oversee her aggression and help her get over that. It worked beautifully and I have never looked elsewhere. Some of their additional services are shuttle services for vet visits to the Walnut Creek Vet clinic, spa salon services, and a shop for food and toys. They also various classes that range from general obedience to agility and one day clinics. read more

We chose to try ADGGP after searching reviews and finding this location closest to our house. I was happy to hear they do an eval, like many places, to test the dog's temperament. I definitely don't want my dog thrown into something if he can't handle it, so I supported the trial half day 100%. I dropped him off earlier this week at the butt-crack-of-dawn.....6:30am, yikes. The young kid checking in the dogs took mine, and in an instant he was gone. Wait, I wasn't ready! (new dog parent....). He had me quickly sign a couple forms, and that was that. I had to ask him if I could look around (I thought it was kinda weird they don't automatically offer to walk new customers around the facility). The only glimpse I got of where my dog would be all morning was a look from the window of the 2nd floor down onto the ground....? It was drizzly and dark, and I didn't like that my dog was outside. They had a big indoor area (concrete?), but they weren't using it for some reason. I left feeling bummed my dog was there, and I'm still not sure if that's mostly the new doggie parent part, or more that I really didn't care for the facility. It might be totally different if the dogs had been indoors, with some access to the outdoors (not simply stuck outside). They also offer pictures (mostly blurry) of the dogs during the day. This seems to be the standard now for all doggie daycares which is pretty cool - but some of they other daycares around town have way better pics (hey, everything gets a grade!). I couldn't find my dog in any of the pics from his morning. Was he hiding in a corner? Hmm. I will try ADGGP again to see how the 2nd time around goes. read more

I can't say enough good things about ADGGP! I just moved here from out of state with a young puppy and for my first month he spent every week day here while I was at work. They take amazing care of my pup, going above and beyond for us again and again! Ollie goes crazy wagging his tail when we arrive. We are also taking puppy classes here and they have been wonderful. This is a great place staffed by a wonderful group of people and I can relax knowing my dog is in good hands when he's here. Also they have an excellent groomer! This place has everything! read more

Just checking in... I still bring my pup here most days of the week and I love the place even more. My pup has such a great time there and he always comes home happy and tired. The staff informs me of funny things he may have done that day or things that might be of concern to me, such as a weird poo he may have had or if he threw something up or didn't eat his lunch that day. My pup loves to roll in anything smelly and disgusting. They try to catch him before it happens but if they miss it and he does roll in something nasty they will give him a quick bath before I pick him up free of charge. The groomers do a great job with him as well. I always feel great leaving my little buddy at ADGGP. read more

We have been taking our dogs here for over a year now. Each dog has a unique personality and one day may be different from the next. They know how to gage our dogs moods. Our big boy comes in pretty hot headed from the ride over and they know what it takes to get him where he needs to be before letting him into the play yard. ADGGP is always making improvements. They recently installed turf in the big dog's play yard which is so much better on their paws. They really seem to invest back into their facilities to make it a good experience for the dogs. I have also used their grooming services. Mark does such an amazing job and it takes a lot to groom our boys. Lots of hair. He knows how to keep them calm so it's not a traumatic experience. He does not hesitate to call you if he notices something out of the norm and he makes them look so beautiful. They also have a wonderful trainer Scott who is very patient not only with dogs but the owners. I have started training and then traveling makes me stop for a long periods of time. He is very patient and lets me start back up and helps me to refresh on what we were working on prior. I know we will get our big boy to where he needs to be soon. If there ever comes a day where we are not able to take our dogs here anymore, I will always be grateful for the services they provide and will recommend them to other people. read more

I've been taking my dog to the dog gone good place for about 4 years now and they are definitely the most awesome doggy day care/boarding in the Portland area. They have (several) dedicated staff to play with the dogs, rather than most other places where they just put all the dogs in one room and not really interact with them. One weekend I went by in the evening and the owner Lynn was working up a sweat throwing ball for the boarding dogs. Now that's dedication! The staff definitely watches out for the dogs and will let you know if anything is out of the ordinary. Thanks to Lynn we can now go on vacation without feeling guilty or worried! I have three pups and have been bringing them to ADGGP for 7 months. They absolutely LOVE going there and can't wait to run back and join the other dogs. ADGGP has changed my life. My dogs had never been to a daycare before so I was out walking them myself seven days a week, sometimes twice a day and I needed a break!! I was referred by a friend and thought I'd try it out. I didn't think they'd do very well as they are not used to being around other dogs, but to my surprise, they did just fine!! Now I drop them off a couple of times a week and when I pick them up, they're happy and tired. They also have a fantastic boarding program. It means the world to me that I can drop my babies off with the peace of mind that they're in good hands. The owner and staff are fantastic and it's obvious that the business is organized and run in a professional manner. They know what they're doing!! Hmm.. looks like this place hasn't been reviewed for awhile and honestly, this place is not a 4+ star business as it shows now. The smaller dog area is just indoors and nobody's even in the room with them to keep an eye on them or interact with them. I have a 15lb dog so he was taken into the small-dog room which looked dark, run down, and didn't look very ventilated. They don't get taken out at all even if they are staying for boarding. I wanted to support a small business but Petsmart seemed like a better option than here to have them cared for during the day as well as boarded overnight. The big dogs have 90% of the space and they can be outside playing so this place is geared more toward big dogs if anything. The front office has had unwelcoming energy and definitely not on top of it in communicating about my inquiries I've had and seemed to just not take it into consideration so she forgot about it until I called about it again. I just wanted to know about their protocols and if they would be able to take him outside to the grass to be able to go potty since he's not used to just peeing anywhere indoors on the dirty rubber mats they had in the small dog room. I was told that she was going to ask her boss but she didn't get back to me for days until I called again and was told the same thing, followed by no follow up reply again. This place gave me very weird energy and it was an uncomfortable environment. I thought it was pretty cool that they had the dog cams you could access from the phone to see your dog, which initially got me interested and thought I would be comfortable with taking my dog here but seeing my dog stressed out the whole time I was away stressed me out too. I'm glad I didn't have him board here. Definitely would not take him here again. read more

It saddens me to leave a bad review. As a dog lover it's nice to drop my dog-ter off at a safe clean establishment. Sometimes we need a service like this when we have to work crazy Long hours. First there is only certain times to drop off our little dog? And then if we don't get her at another certain time there is a fine? We have brought our dog here 3 times and no more. First she got kennel cough months ago, it happens, and when we called to mention that they might want to warn others, we were met with such denial and cover up, that we decided to just let it go. Then there was the time when I waited 10 min to get her out, with no other parents there, and I have never seen her so frantic. We thought maybe she was just easily excitable, but then there was the straw that broke the camels back. We get a call today that our dog was injured, and cut her foot... Deep! No one seen what happened. So now we wonder is there an infection? Do we need to take her t the vet? Sure they waived the fee, but the damage is done. I hope others have a better time then we did. read more

We come here for everything our little guy needs...he comes here to play - spend the night and get groomed. The groomer they have here is STELLAR! (Bobby) He is wonderful with dogs. Patient, kind, soft, loving...he alone gets 5 stars! We have left our dog here for daycare...and he came out happy and well adjusted. (Which is a feat...we adopted him 6 months ago and he was never let out of the home - so he never got fellowship with other dogs...or knew there was a big wide world out there) Dog Gone Good Place has been very good at helping us help him through learning it is good out here in the world. :) He had one weekend of boarding - and once again he came out happy and peaceful. I love this place and am sad we moved too far away to continue coming here. 1. They have naptime in the afternoons and a pool in the summer. I wish my job had those. 2. They have evaluations before they admit new dogs. Why don't more places have this? Some of the crazies that you see at the dog park could be lurking in other boarding places, just waiting to pounce on my pups. Not here! 3. They have an observation deck, photos taken throughout the day, and let you tour the facility. I am suspicious of every kennel that isn't this transparent. 4. My shy dog loves it here. My husband and I started taking our 2 small dogs to A Dog Gone Good Place about 7 months ago. We had tried another doggy daycare in the area and weren't thrilled with it, plus ADGGP offers a month-long membership for dogs that includes unlimited days of playcare. They now go daily for playcare and they LOVE it. As we get close to the facility in the morning, one of our dogs starts making excited noises and moving around in the car. We use their boarding, grooming, and training services as well and have nothing but good things to say about all of the services and staff - especially the management team and the owner! One of our dogs has allergies and was constantly licking his paws; when we went to pick him up one day the playcare manager noticed he was bleeding. He and the HR manager both took a look at our dog and realized he had chewed 2 of his toenails off. They put some styptic powder on his paws to help them clot quickly, and immediately made an appointment for the next morning for the groomer to shave in between his paws to help them heal more quickly. It turned out that he was horribly matted between his paws - he had been licking them and chewing his nails because he was in so much pain! They did this free of charge and he seemed to feel better immediately. No more licking his paws. We have never owned dogs before, and would have probably taken him to the vet to get allergy testing done had ADGGP not figured out what the real problem was! Last week our other dog had a stomach bug - we took her to playcare in the morning and she wasn't feeling great, they called us a couple of hours later and recommended we take her to the vet. I got her a vet appointment that day and the vet got her right on some anti-nausea medication, additional fluids, and a soft food diet. Again, without ADGGP, she probably wouldn't have felt better as quickly as she did. They were also willing to accommodate her special diet short term - she needed to be fed frequent small meals, which they were happy to do. We love the daily pictures and regular anecdotes we get about our dogs. ADGGP is so in-tune to our dogs needs, personalities, and health and we appreciate it greatly. We constantly recommend ADGGP to friends and family and regularly run into people we know picking up their dogs. Thank you ADGGP! read more

My Dog, Sarah, has been attending ADGGP since she was just a puppy, about 4 years now. I toured and interviewed a few other doggie day care places before choosing A Dog Gone Good Place and I can say it is the best around. The facilities are ALWAYS extremely clean and secure (my papillon can be a bolter). The staff are knowledgeable and LOVE dogs. I know that they are taking great care of my baby because on Wednesday mornings when I carry her into the office, Sarah jumps from my arms into the waiting embrace of the staff member who meets us (often the owner herself). At home my dog never leaves my side, she is my constant companion. It was heartbreaking when I had to leave her overnight the first time, but I was relieved to have ADGGP take care of her. I was confident she would be safe and loved. I love picking up my exhausted pup after a day of play knowing that she had great exercise, socialization, stimulation and I can even check out photos of her online. read more

Today I picked up my recently adopted 5 year old dog who had her assessment at ADGGP. They took the time to tell me all about her day and gave me a report card. I was really reminded of how much I love this place. My last dog who died a few months ago, went to ADGGP for several years. My vet even said it probably extended his life. I adopted him when he was a senior and with a few health challenges. With him they would notice little signs when his arthritis was bothering him and keep him in the small dog yard. I felt like everyone treated him as if he belonged to them. I so love this place. I only hope my Missy dog will take advantage of the pool this summer. I have bringing my dog here for about a year now, I have nothing but good things to say about the facility and the staff. My dog comes home happy and tired every day she is there. Many times she doesn't even want to leave. The facility is clean, the staff is awesome and knowledgeable. There boarding is great they have cabins or cottages and don't keep your dog in crates and they get playtime while boarding also. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. I want to thank all the staff that took care of Mika (berner) and Daisy (dobie)Tuesday night and Wednesday of this week (5/06 & 5/07/2014). Everyone did an awesome job with my dogs! Daisy is 13 years old and never has been boarded that I'm aware of plus she doesn't socialize well with other dogs except Mika. I was very nervous about leaving her and felt having Mika with her would help some. But the bottom line is how your staff loves and treats all of your customer's dogs with such great care. My understanding is Daisy did real well and better than expected. I give your staff all the credit for this and all the love and care they show towards our dogs. Our dogs went here twice. The second time they came home, one of our dogs came back with a sprained back leg! No one knew what had happened and then they tried to guess. Our dogs are on the smaller side, and got thrown in to a bunch of other dogs. They were pups at the time, and they have never been the same! Anxiety and scared of other dogs now :( In the pictures they hid in a kennel the whole time. We went to Rock Creek Kennel, they are incredible and the pic are way better! We've been very happy with this "doggy day care"! We've been taking our 2year old super spaz dog here about 3 days a week and theyve always been very accommodating, and nice people. The facility is much nicer than the other local options we've tried, and you can tell they truly care about your pet. Plus they even have dog pools!! read more

I will preface this review that I have only ever used ADGGP for Grooming. After 2 bad experiences at Petsmart we wanted to find someone who was more of a professional groomer. We are more than willing to pay for professional grooming as we have a 90lb Bernese mt dog that requires a pretty intensive grooming session. I was surprised before the first appointment to see that they didn't ask for any immunization information or vet info. (I thought that was normal before seeing a groomer) Our first time there was great - I don't remember the groomers name, but he was a male and his photos and professional information were on the company website. During the first grooming he even called me to alert me that our dog had very red ears and may have an infection (something we have since learned she is very prone to due to allergies) When i picked her up, she looked fantastic. We have since gone back a few times. In the last year, we went and there was a different groomer, a woman. - I think too much about it, but when i picked my dog up she was somewhat wet, but overall the cut was nice. At the end of 2015 we took her in, and yet another groomer was there. We were right on time for our appointment, and the new groomer a young-ish woman came out, and greeted us to take her back. I noticed on the way back that the grooming room was a hot mess! Dog hair everywhere all over the floor. It just kind of gave me a vibe that quality was slipping. Plus, what is with the turnover in grooming? The cut this last time was ok, but our dog was still fairly damp in places, and had a lot of longer hairs that should have been cut. Within a couple of days, our dog developed hot spots behind her ears (Where her fur had not been fully dried). It ended up taking several vet appts and course of drugs to get her all healed up. I don't blame hot spots on ADGGP totally, but it was enough to make me not want to return. I never got the feeling that they were running a very tight ship, and the turnover in groomers makes me question their capabilities. I, unfortunately, did not have a good experience with most of the staff at A Dog Gone Good Place and ultimately found them to be very unprofessional. I felt very uncomfortable leaving my dog there on days when certain employees checked her in. After months of giving them a try I ended up coming back early from a trip to bring my dog home and will never take my dog back again. read more

Our boxers have been coming here every week for 4 years. It was important to us as well as our responsibility as pet owners to socialize our dogs and prepare them for day to day encounters with people and animals. They absolutely love coming here! We tell them the night before that they're going to play and they actually run to wait by the door. They literally jump out of our truck and run to the yard! They know their way around inside the building! They love the staff and are quite social with other dogs. You can imagine their disappointment when they get punk'd and we have make a pit stop at the vet! The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. We've left them for several nights at a time for different trips, etc. They have specific food allergies and take daily meds. Never once have we been made to feel like we're a pain or overzealous dog owner that can't differentiate between children and animals. Personally, we are glad they are made to rest several times a day. Unless they are made to take a break, they will never stop running or playing and end up exhausted and/or risk injury. I often wonder about dogs that don't show any interest in playing with other animals- seems sad and makes me wonder what's going on at home. read more

If I could rate the grooming services and the doggy daycare services separately, I would give the grooming services 5 stars--they did a great job. Unfortunately, I would give the daycare 0 stars if that was even possible, so i'm settling for a collective 2 stars. I hate to leave a review that is less-than positive, but unfortunately, my experience at Dog Gone Good Place hasn't been that positive at all. We tried Dog Gone Good Place because it's 1 mile from our new home. Our first red flag is that the place does not offer 1/2 days of daycare... What?? When I inquired about why they don't offer half days, the owner responded that she "couldn't make it work...." Whatever that means. Considering every doggy daycare in the world offers half days of daycare, I was a little dumbfounded by this. But we needed a doggy daycare, so I bought a daycare package for the coming weeks. After my dog's first full day of daycare, I arrived to pick her up. I walked into the lobby, and the receptionist didn't even look up... A painfully awkward 30 seconds passed while the receptionist still refused to look up and acknowledge my presence in the lobby. I thought I was on Punk'd. Finally, I said "Hello, I'm here to pick up my dog," and the receptionist acted annoyed that I was interrupting her. I don't care if you're in the middle of something or not. Customer Service 101 says that when a customer walks through your door, you look up and greet that customer regardless of whether you're in the middle of something. She wasn't on the phone, and she wasn't assisting another customer, so it beats me what her excuse could have been for failing to acknowledge a paying customer's presence. To make matters worse, when I said "I'm here to pick up Spot," the receptionist said "Oh... do we even have a dog named Spot here today?" I was panic stricken and extremely concerned that they had lost my dog! I said "You better! I dropped her off this morning!" Low and behold, my dog most certainly WAS there, but the receptionist clearly hadn't made any attempts to familiarize herself with the dogs that were in her care that day. Like most dog owners that are willing to pay $28 a day for daycare, I like to think my dog is pretty special, and it would be nice if the people who watch her all day at least pretend to take an interest in her. I was hoping the poor customer service was just a fluke, but unfortunately, it was not. The next few times I arrived to pick up my dog in the evening, there were 5-6 other "parents" in the lobby waiting for their dogs--no receptionist or employee to be found. There were times where I had to wait over 20 minutes for my dog. I don't care if you only have one receptionist working. When your business is so inefficient that people have to wait for 20 minutes for something that should take 5, it's time to reevaluate your system. There were times I was so fed-up with the wait and running late for dinner that I literally almost opted to leave a $20 on the counter and tell them to board my dog overnight. It should not be a half hour ordeal to pick up my dog from daycare; and if people DO have to wait in the lobby, train your employees to apologize for the wait and act appreciative of their customers' patience. Finally, I noticed one evening when I was picking up my dog that there weren't any dogs running around on the webcam (they have TV screens in the lobby with webcams that show the play areas). I asked where all the dogs were. Come to find out, everyday at 4:30, all dogs are kenneled so that it is "easier for the employees to track down the dogs as their owners come to pick them up." Are you kidding me? If I work late and can't pick up my dog until 6:30, that means she's been in a crate for 2 hours. Why am I paying you over $25 a day so my dog can sit in a kennel for a quarter of the time she is in your care? Our dog has been to several day cares since she was a puppy, and no other daycare has ever used this technique. If your employees can't handle retrieving the dogs when they're owners arrive, it sounds like you need to provide better training to your employees. As much as I wanted to like this place, I just can't. My dog has been to many different doggy daycares, and I've never experienced such poor customer service and utter disinterest in my dog. There are better places in the area that will actually treat you and your dog like a valued customer. Go to one of those places instead. read more

My dog loves going here. We have been taking him to ADGGP for a year. He is always eager to get in the door and start his day. The people are very friendly and good with the dogs. Our dog goes 1-3 days per week depending on our schedule. He comes home tired and happy at the end of the day (a tired dog is a good dog :)). read more

I love this place. My dog is always excited to come in and play with her friends. My dog is anxious and shy around new people but the staff at adggp have really helped her come out of her shell. I encourage Stefanie M. to research a topic before deducting her own conclusion. I dare her to find a dog daycare that not only hires only pet first aid certified employees but also has a manager on staff that is able to teach the course. I know from experience that ADGGP knows how to handle emergencies but they are honest with the parents instead of saying "We don't know how it happened" which is what 99% of other day cares will tell you. They do not skirt past scrapes and bumps, which some people may not like, and I understand that. I cannot say enough good things about this facility and I know PERSONALLY how awesome they are. read more
