Money and Penny had a 10/10 time. When we were initially introduced to Dogtopia, we met Alejandro. Unfortunately he told us to pick up doggies at 12 but that doesnt apply since we took the spa package. However, it's what you do to rebound from that right? So Alejandro saw us and apologized so it doesn't really matter. At the end of the day, our furry children had a good time. They had a blueberry facial, they had bandanas, they also had a lot of exercise and 1:1 time. What I loved-- is how we can check the pet cameras to make sure they are ok! They also did brain games too and they were so tired when we picked them up! Money usually cries in the car but he didn't cry at all on our way back so I could tell that dogtopia did a very great job. Jasmine also explained everything well. The pups also had their nails trimmed too!!!! I loved how they center the dogs around like what group they can be too! Penny and Money were in the medium dog size group for medium energy! Definitely do not recommend this place at all for grooming, I've been coming here for years and lately the new staff just doesn't have it together. My previous appointment after dropping my dog off at 10 am I received a phone call asking if I was still dropping him off HOUR after he was already dropped off. Even though they offered to do absolutely nothing for taking up my entire day, I tried to be understanding and I get people make mistakes, continued to come back again. I drop my dog off at 10 am for an appointment 6/6 I made weeks in advance, they confirm my appointment the day before as well, at 2PM IN THE AFTERNOON I'm informed there's no groomer there, never was a groomer down on the schedule at all. The best they could give me is "sorry you can come back tomorrow or another day and we can TRY and make sure someone is there" Oh not to mention every time I go it's always a different price with no explanation. I have previously rated Dogtopia 5 stars, and for good reason. Our sweet puppy Kylo ADORES every single member of the team here, he sees them as his second family and we trust them wholeheartedly with daycare, boarding, and training. I wanted to update my review because we recently started a new service with Dogtopia, we did a three week daycare and train with their new trainer Ana, which I wanted to review in case anyone was looking into signing up. If you are looking for someone to train your dog, look no further than Dogtopia and Ana. She has been an absolute lifesaver and worked miracles with our stubborn and energetic border collie mix. In the three short weeks we did daycare and train we saw constant improvement in Kylo, even just from day one. Ana had a way of communicating with him that we never were able to, and she was able to teach us her ways over the course of the three weeks. He returned home to us each day tired, happy, and even better behaved than the day before. Our once stressed out dog with major leash anxiety has made incredible progress and seems happier than ever after these three weeks. He seems like a completely different dog in the best way. The price of training with Ana was worth every penny. We hope to continue with follow up sessions and hopefully a group class as well. We continue to be impressed with the incredibly caring team at dogtopia. So glad we found a place that loves our Kylo as much as we do. read more

I was looking for a new place to take my kiddo and this is one of the very few places that has 5 stars, I read many of the reviews and was very pleased, so I gave them a try. Thank goodness they lived up to their 5 stars!!! The facility is in a nice location, very clean and inviting inside. The staff is professional, respectful and nice. They wear smiles and nice uniforms. Overall good energy vibes. I brought my dog in for a mani/pedi and explained that she has anxiety and is old so she has bad legs. Left my dog here for 4 days of boarding. Requested that he be fed 2 cups per meal twice a day. When we picked him up we found out that they only been feeding him 1 cup twice a day. Half of his daily requirement. I let them know and all they could do was apologize. Ever since then my dog has been resource guarding everything and has been way more aggressive towards me and my wife. Never has this occurred until after boarding him. To say the least, I am very upset by this, and now we have to figure out how to stop the resource guarding. I will not be coming back to this location again. read more

Took my Havanese/Lhasa Apso pup here to get groomed by Angela on Friday and I love his new summer puppy cut! She made sure she followed my notes and even made sure that when I picked him up she came out with him to make sure I liked how his face/body was and noted them in the computer system for us next time! Milo usually gets very bad razor burn with other stylists but Angela was great about it and skimmed his private and butt area and we didn't have any problems with that this time. I have so much to say about the incredible service and overwhelmingly positive experience both me and my dog had with Dogtopia! I boarded Parker for two nights with Dogtopia, and let me tell you--I was a wreck because this was the first time he'd be away from his dog parents overnight. The staff at Dogtopia made me feel so comfortable. Everyone was incredibly positive and excited to have Parker there, and that eased my nerves. These people really love dogs, and appreciate all the nuances of each animal's personality. That sounds so new-agey of me to say, but I've heard awful stories of dogs being yelled at and dealt with too harshly at other places. The staff supervises playtime, and mischievous dogs are dealt with gracefully and gently until their behavior is under control. That being said, the required and free "trial" period prevents overly aggressive dogs from even attending daycare at Dogtopia, so you really don't have to worry about dogs being too rough during playtime. I loved being able to see the dogs on Instagram and the live-feed webcams. The facilities are expansive and so clean, light, and airy. The staff planned fun activities for the dogs, and it makes you feel good to know they are just having a blast. I mean, come on--bacon bubbles?! How cool is that? When I picked up my dog this afternoon, he was happy and exhausted. In fact, I've never seen him this calm and tired. He hasn't left the couch much in 5+ hours! Overall, everyone was so professional, kind, and friendly at Dogtopia. The staff went above and beyond, and I will have absolutely no qualms about leaving my dog here in the future! Worth absolutely every penny I paid (and that's coming from someone making a sad, entry-level salary). Thank you, Dogtopia! PS: Please open a location in Portland, Oregon! I went today for evaluation! Please if you love your dog don't take her to this place. They won't let you in the back to check the area if is clean or not. First of all they have about 25 dogs big and small sizes all together in one room. Rusted cage, no toys, black rubber floor , no supervision!!!!! , then one guy looked so tired like just woke up from bed went to the dirty water bucket and start moping the floor.. then I just open the door to the back to call the staff to bring back my dog, as soon as I open the door smelled hirable... no wonder they wont let you to go in the back. I am very frustrated and upset about this doggie daycare. I brought my Golden Doodle , Clairee to them on three occasions the first time was to board for one night , I picked her up the next day to find she had been put into a small dog kennel , Clairee is 74 pounds ! I was reassured by the owner this would not happen again I brought her back for doggie daycare and she came home with highly contagious Kennell cough. Again then owner assured me that this was the exception.... and paid for my vet bill ! In an emergency I took Clairee over again for Friday night boarding when my sitter could not come , when I picked her up , less than 24 hours later , her eyes were glued together with thick mucous and I was told 3 dogs there had been diagnosed with Kennel cough ! I brought Clairee home and sure enough , she has an ocular type of "kennel cough", highly contagious , and has had vomiting and diarrhea since we got her home . She weighed 74 pounds and now she has lost to 66 . Our vet at Brittmore treated her again with another round of antibiotics and gave her injections for nausea. I again called Dogtopia to report this to the owner and asked for a call back. Since I have not heard back , at this point I must speak out. Clairee is a 15 month old puppy. She has now been on antibiotics twice because of Dogtopia. Please know before you go. She will not return to Dogtopia read more

Dogtopia Galleria is not the closest daycare but it's worth the traffic and extra time. I've been working with Montreal on training my rescue to be less leash reactive. I previously worked with another trainer and tried my own YouTubing. Working with Montreal has been a game changer. In a short time, my dog can now walk past dogs, greet them and play in daycare. I am much more relaxed on my walks and can see more places I can take my dog. He has provided practical advice that works. After a few weeks, he suggested we try daycare which didn't work out before. Luke has been loving daycare and I don't think we would have gotten here without Montreal. Great team overall at Dogtopia and happy to be a client. read more

My mini-Aussie loves Dogtopia! When we moved to Houston 2 years ago, I immediately began looking for somewhere he could get his energy out like he had back in Louisiana. Dogtopia ended up being in a perfect location in regards to work & home and was having its grand opening shortly after we moved. I'll be in honest, the place we went to in Louisiana was top-notch and my dog was absolutely adored there so I thought there was no way Dogtopia could compare but I'm happy to say they did and my dog loves it! I know he's in good hands when I drop him off. My only suggestion is to do away with, lessen, or make the nap time optional. I don't work the normal 8-5 hours so often times, I'm wanting to drop my dog off at Dogtopia during these times for a half day but decide against it because he'd be in a kennel for the first hour or two. read more

Recently , I had to fly out of the state and so I dropped my puppy to dogtopia based off the great reviews on yelp. My puppy had her temperament testing while I filled out the contract and essential information for boarding such as food and the times, allergies, good habits , etc. The following day we dropped off a box of packed food in separate containers for the 4 days we would be gone for. Being that she is a puppy we feed 3 times a day and made sure to mention the amount of times she eats as well as the preferred times to feed per day. The day I returned to pick my puppy up, i noticed there were still many containers of food left over. The person in charge(gio) that I spoke to me assured me that sometimes, puppies get really excited and do not eat their food. Shortly after , i received a call from Gio and he said that the person in charge of our puppy over the weekend THOUGHT she was only to be fed twice a day instead of three times a day like mentioned in the contract. My puppy was about 3 1/2 months at the time- and It saddens and angers me that the person in charge over the weekend failed to look at the signed contract and missed such a huge thing such as the feeding. Gio on the other hand was very helpful and I know it must have taken a lot to have to relay this to me... If only dogtopia would have stayed on top of things for my puppy- i know I as well as my puppy would have loved to continue going to dogtopia. We even complained to dogtopia corrupt and the 45 mins we spent discussing the situation fell on deaf ears since they never called us back . read more

I booked a grooming appointment and was told it will take 2 hours. I have a tight schedule, but I also don't like to leave my new foster dog who is easily scared longer than necessary. So I drop her off with that 2 hour window in mind. 30 minutes past when she was supposed to be done, and I received no notice or update, I made a call and they said it would be another 45 minutes because she just got on the table. So why did they have me drop her off two hours ahead of time? She started shaking the moment she walked in, so she was shaking in a cage for no reason for two hours? What upsets me the most is when I explained this to the front desk guy, he just said that they were falling behind - there was there was no apology or concern, just "yeah yeah - we fell a little behind". I don't like that. That is not customer service. That is not a concern for the animals. She can end up with the most beautiful haircut in the world and I won't be coming back. My bf and I brought our newly adopted Pitbull here after leaving a different place, and were greeted by Gio and Samantha. I have to say, if they didn't go out of their way to make this easy for us, it sure felt like it! We have never gone through this process, and had a fuzzy idea of how it worked. They explained everything thoroughly, and talked with us like we were all friends. They are super knowledgeable about dogs in general, and made us extremely confident leaving our baby here! He is usually nervous at first, but warms up over time, and they expected that, and were ok with it. Before starting his temperament test, Gio gave us a tour, and the place is immaculate!! It didnt smell bad, there were no random accidents on the floor - impressive! Gio then took our boy outside and played with him for a few moments, getting him comfortable, and then slowly introduced other dogs. We were able to watch on the cameras what was going on, and Samantha talked with us while Gio started the process. It was great. Their pricing may seem higher than some other places in the area - but you get what you pay for! Staff is amazing, friendly to people and of course dogs, facility is unbelievably clean and safe, and it runs like clockwork. There are naps and downtime built into the day, catering to the dogs need to rest, and their need to clean. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone with a big or small dog. Side note: my dog seems to do better sometimes with calmer dogs, and instead of labeling him as a problem, they simply switched the room he was in - to match his temperament for the day/moment. It has taken me some time in search of the right words, but there are no perfect words to express how grateful I am for the staff and Olanre for saving my dog, Papee. I boarded him there on November 10, 2022 and the following morning I received an urgent call from Olanre that Papee had fallen ill, basically collapsed and was in dire need of medical attention. I was now in Los Angeles, and devastated to be close enough to get there. Olanre took him to the nearest vet, where the stabilized him with a blood transfusion. During the entire time she kept me updated with text messages. Papee needed emergency care that the facility could not provided, and Olanre again went over and beyond and personally transported Papee to an emergency hospital many miles away. She did so in her personal vehicle and on her own time. She saved him. And while his diagnosis has turned out to be an aggressive cancer, he is still with us and I am so, so grateful and moved to tears each time I think about it. I was impressed with the employees and had no concerns with leaving my dog there. We were in town working and stayed in the Galleria. This was an easy option to drop him off every morning. My dog has seizures and has to take medication, and they were great about giving it to him. It set my mind at ease when they asked about symptoms to watch for what steps to take if anything were to happen. I have a really anxious Toy Aussie, so I am particular about who cares for her. I was looking for a new groomer because mine moved, and I had seen great reviews for this facility. I have given them multiple tries, and unfortunately will not be returning for grooming services. Of the last three grooms, I have had a negative experience all three times. On the first, I showed up to drop off Sage and the front desk said there was no groomer that day. The front desk staff had scheduled my groom on the wrong day. Luckily, a groomer was willing to come in to groom her. Over 6 hours later, I had still not been notified of Sage being ready for pick up so I called to inquire how much longer she would be. I was informed that I was notified hours ago by phone that she was ready - never got any call or voicemail! On the second, I specifically requested that the groomer NOT shave Sage's belly. She has sensitive skin and it becomes irritated and causes a rash. When I picked her up and got her home, she was already itching and when I investigated it was because her belly had been shaved even after I specifically mentioned my request for that to not be completed. On this last visit, I requested that everything for the groom be completed except her belly-like the time before. I mentioned that this request was not previously honored but it was important to me that it was this time. But being an Aussie, she's shedding bad because it's summer. So I asked what could be done. They suggested a special shampoo and treatment to remove the excess hair. When I picked her up, she was shedding more than when I dropped her off and no where on her body had been even trimmed besides her feet. I requested to speak with a manager and waited in the lobby. Everyone else coming in was helped over and over, while I waited and no one ever came to talk to me. When I got her home, I found matted spots in her fur on her neck and belly that have never happened before and she's been itching nonstop which she was not doing before I dropped her off. I tried again to contact the manager to discuss my concerns and experience, but again there was no response. I am very disappointed that I have continually paid a large amount of money and been unsatisfied. If you have a long haired dog that you wish to be groomed a specific way, I suggest looking into other groomers. read more

My husband rescheduled with a lady that did not even had our information as she said, for Saturday. Came and dropped her Saturday, "the groomer had an emergency and had to leave" I understand everyone can have an emergency but can you inform?? "We don't have your information " hah???? So they have my dog medical records, everything but as disorganized as it could be, they don't have our number. We are definitely not giving it a 3rd shot. They took GREAT care of my furbaby!!! She is exhausted from a long play weekend!!! First, they got me in SUPER fast because I decided last minute to board her. Second, everyone there was very friendly and welcoming!! Also, I absolutely LOVE that she did not come home smelling like urine, and their live feeds are super clear so I could log on when I woke up and see her playing and having fun!!
