Extremely Disappointed - Still No Refund After Six Weeks I feel compelled to share my experience with Dogtopia of Cedar Hills, as it has been both frustrating and disheartening. I recently brought my newly adopted rescue dog in for a meet & greet. She seemed to enjoy the playroom, and the staff encouraged me to leave her for a few hours. Before leaving, I was also encouraged to purchase a promotional offer -- a 30-day unlimited daycare pass for $99.00 -- which I did. When I returned around lunchtime, I looked through the tinted window and saw that all the dogs, including mine, had been crated for a break. What struck me immediately was the distress: many were howling and crying, and all were in bare, uncomfortable crates -- no beds, no blankets, no comfort of any kind. Given my dog's traumatic past in a high-kill shelter and her recent adoption, I realized this was not the right environment for her. I immediately informed the staff that I had changed my mind and requested a refund for the pass I had just purchased. I was told they couldn't process refunds on-site, but that someone would follow up. That follow-up did come -- a voicemail and a text from someone at corporate trying to persuade me to stick with the plan. I reiterated that this environment wasn't suitable for my dog and again requested a refund. On April 18, 2025, I was told my refund would be processed. It never came. Since then, I've called, texted, submitted multiple messages through their website, and even contacted the CFO via email -- all with no response. Finally, on May 7, the same corporate representative texted again, apologized, and assured me the refund would be processed within a few days. As of today, May 28, 2025, I still have not received it. I've sent multiple follow-up messages since then, and have again received no response. At this point, I feel as though Dogtopia has effectively stolen my money. This isn't just poor customer service -- it's a complete lack of integrity. This place has a new manager every 2 months. I've been taking my dog here since March 2024, and they've had 4 different managers. I do not feel comfortable taking my dog here considering the high turnover and the fact that no one stays long enough to actually care or get to know my dog and his needs. Also, if you have a dog with any kind of reactivity (barking), they will make you feel like you have a poorly behaved dog. read more

I am not going to lie. My wife told me that this place was in the Market of Choice shopping center. I swear I drove around for 5 minutes looking for it. I obviously wasn't paying attention when I was driving up the hill. After I finally crossed the road and pulled into the parking lot in peeked in the window and saw all of the puppers. They all looked like they were having a blast. I walked in and was greeted by 2 ladies as well as an amazing puppy on the wall along with a huge montage of puppy pics. Today was Raven's birthday and she had a meet-and-greet to see if she had the right stuff to hang out at Dogtopia. The employees up front said that Raven did great and that they loved her already. I was super happy that she did well. We will definitely be taking advantage of the puppy day care and boarding when we finally get to take a day trip or an actual vacation. read more

Please don't take your dog here. They're intolerant and abuse their use of the kennels, as if your dog does anything outside of lay down and be quiet, they're thrown in a kennel for 30 minutes. They told me my dog is constantly in a kennel because he's "a bully and barks too much". When he got bit by another dog, I was told it was "my dog's fault" and locked my dog in a room by himself for over 3 hours with no accountability for the accident. They crowd 30 dogs to a small room with one person, making it impossible for them to truly watch and care for your dog. They are not timely about picking up poop/pee, and don't follow any personalized instructions you leave with them. So please just don't. read more

We have a puppy that demands a lot of attention, which is a challenge for me working from home. So we scheduled a "Meet & Greet" and they took the time to test how our dog would respond to the staff and other dogs, and vice versa. Success! As part of an introductory special, they let him stay for the rest of day, and 3 more times in the next 7 days. I am impressed with the GM, Morgan, and all the staff. They make it positive and exciting for the dogs, while being very kind and flexible for the dog owners. They offer webcams to observe any time you want, and communicate how your dog did that day. Their website and app allow you to login and reserve days. My dog enjoys the experience, and I can be more focused on work, so I am planning to get an ongoing monthly membership with flexibility to choose which days I need. read more

BEWARE!!!! This is not a safe place for your dog. And they are completely disorganized, incompetent and do not keep accurate records. In our situation we followed all of their rules. We brought our dog in ahead of time so that they could see how he behaved with their staff and the other dogs (our dog is eight years old and very mellow). Our dog did just fine on this first visit and they agreed to board him. This happened more than a month before our planned trip. They indicated that they crated their boarders at night (our dog does not do well in a crate, about which I am very sympathetic). I said that I understood that they had suites as well and was told that they did. I told them how important to me it was that our dog stay in a suite and not a cage. They agreed to board our dog in one of their suites. We then agreed upon a price and I paid by a credit card then and there. I then followed up shortly thereafter and confirmed all of this by email, including that our dog would be staying in one of their suites. I asked that they confirm my email and the agreed upon arrangements for our dog to stay in one of their suites and they did follow up and so confirm. So we thought all was set. On the agreed upon date we dropped our dog, his food, a pad and etc off at the Cedar Mill Dogtopia. In doing so I confirmed again verbally that our dog would be staying in one of their suites and their person confirmed that that was correct. Then forward a week later and we come in to pick up our dog after our trip ended and I was told our dog was injured from "his crate", but that he was fine, not showing any real concern for the dog (I also want to note that in leaving our dog off that I was told that they would call me during our trip if anything went wrong, the dog became ill or the like, but I received no call and no text and no email - before I left the dog there I made sure they had my contact information so that they could follow up as they said they would but again they did not contact me in any way). I then said that we had prepaid for a suite and that our dog was supposed to have been in a suite and that he would not have this injury had been put in the agreed upon and paid for suite. The person in charge was not in any way apologetic or willing in any way for this business to take any responsibility for their negligence. He showed no concern for our dog. I was clearly frustrated, but he did not care and just said that he would speak with his manager, who was not there at the time and ordered me to leave, all the while smirking at me as if I was some kind of lying idiot. He said he could find no confirmation of the agreed upon suite, despite the fact that they have emails to/from me confirming our agreement and that our dog would be staying in a suite for which I paid. It seems like they have a bunch of kids working at this place who do not have the training or tools or experience to properly run a business and take proper care of our precious dogs and that they care very little for the welfare of the dogs there. As others have said, please, please do not take your dogs here. This all happened this month, March 2025. So it is a current situation of negligence and poor animal care. read more

This place is amazing! The staff is great, very professional, super friendly. Great location, very easy to get to. I was surprised how big this place is. Very well run compared to other daycares I have been to for sure. Super clean! I did not expect it to be that clean. Plus, I was caught off guard that Dogtopia did not have your typical bad smell to it. I brought that yup to one of the staff there and they explained all the Dogtopia's have a advanced filtration system that purifies the air. My little doggy loved this place. He even has certain other digs that are his friends now. It's so funny to watch when he gets there and goes over to them right away if they are there. The staff is warm, friendly, knowledgable, and caring. The facility does NOT smell like dog pee (anyone who has taken their dog to a daycare knows what I'm talking about). DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! I went to an open house to talk with the manager about getting my larger dog's nails trimmed. The manager assured me that their groomer was highly experienced with large dogs. I took her in and it was a disaster. She was in the back for over 30 minutes. They finally brought her out and said they could only do her front paws (but did not do her dew claws). My dog was totally stressed. You could see that they had clipped one nail too far and it had bled. She wouldn't let me touch her paws for weeks. But even worse was what I saw in the doggy day care rooms (you can look in the windows). Every room was overcrowded. Dogs were panting and barking. There was no room for them to play and no quiet spots. Twice I saw large dogs trying to mount smaller dogs. I banged on the window. There was pee/poop all over. There were few employees and those in the room were clustered together talking. I went to the front desk and expressed my concern at what I was seeing. I got just a mumbled response and no attempt to take action I filled out a survey and got a phone call where I expressed my concerns. I was suppose to get a call from the manager but never did. I understand that a number of dogs at the facility have extreme diarrhea and have tested positive for parasites. Please don't use this facility. read more

This place is garbage. I scheduled a "meet and greet" two weeks ago for this morning. Went through the steps on their website to fill out the forms. Got a call 30 minutes before the appointment that they didn't have my puppy's vaccination records, which they claim on the website it is "no problem" for them to call and get it. They have had the vet's information for 2 days. I asked if I could call quickly and have it sent to them. They said no, and the first available time to reschedule is 2 more weeks. I could only hear about half of the conversation since their phone service sounded like a walkie-talkie. I wouldn't take my dog there, and it is a blessing that I didn't probably. I had the WORST experience at this location. I would stay away from this place! Horrible management that simply does not care mixed with seriously bad organizational skills. I should have listened to the reviews below but this location being somewhat close proximity to my house I thought it could be a good alternative for a couple play sessions for my 1 yr old Goldendoodle boy. Well - I was wrong! My saga started with me calling them and ended without my dog even stepping foot in the daycare. First they made an appointment for me and did not mention that my dog needed the canine influenza vaccine. They called to reschedule and I said sure I'll get it and took my dog to his vet. Then they made another appointment and this time told me I also needed the bordetella vaccine. I took another trip to our vet and got this one too. After weeks of me getting my pup ready and I texting them all the documents and them telling me we are all good I drive all the way there this morning with an excited pup. They greet me with super solemn faces and tell me oops we apologize we can't do the meet and greet without the booster for canine influenza. Mind you this is after they approve us to come and two different people telling me one vaccine was enough to start. They did not call me this morning, they did not call me on the way; they made me drive to the location and after weeks of prepping just for this told me this right there and then. I have to point out the tone was so off and unapologetic too that I really could not believe it; felt almost like a joke. So so rude, unorganized, uncaring and disrespectful of their clients time. They advertise that they do grooming services. That's not quite true. I found them online and called/left message 3X with no response. I went through their whole online meet and great test and got an auto message. I called again and finally got someone only to find out that they will only do grooming if you enroll the dog in day care. I have 2 dogs and am retired so I don't need daycare for $50 each a day so I can pay them an additional $60 each for a bath and nail trim. It's crazy and their website is a bait and switch. I actually don't know how their daycare is. It took me three days to find out that they are too upscale to bathe my chihuahuas. read more

I'll start with what I did like. The facility seems nice and the staff are super friendly. My dog who has been super socialized and been to multi pile dog day cares without any issues whatsoever. My dog passed the one one one dog greeting. Apparently she started snipping and putting herself against the wall when introduced to the group. When they told me that I was a bit shocked as she has never done anything like that. They told me I could try on a different day. I was a little taken aback. Why would I try her another day when she did not do well. When I questioned it was because they had a LOT of dogs in there. How many? Like 30. So on a meet and greet they put her into a room with 30 brand new dogs. I was a bit shocked since it was an appointment I figured there would be an easing into a pack of dogs. Trying again on a different day does nothing if it is just dependent on whether lots of people drop off a lot that day or not. I just wish there was more clarity on what she was going to be presented with otherwise I would not have brought her. Left a pretty sour taste in my mouth tbh. My dogs are normally very clingy but they barely give me a backwards glance as they trot into daycare here. And I love that they have webcams so that you can check in on how your pups are doing throughout the day. We left our pup at this facility for two over night stays. She did very well at the doggy day care afternoons leading up to her boarding. So we felt very reassured that she was having fun and most importantly taken care of by the staff. When we picked her up from the two nights of boarding she was wheezing and completely hoarse, her nose rubbed raw from "kennel nose" and her paws were caked with dried poo and urine. Now I understand that my breed of pup is high maintenance, so I completely understand that barking and kennel nose are very common for dogs with anxiety. However the two staff members behind the counter were very uninformative and completely unempathetic as my dog was wheezing and woofing like a life time cigarette smoker. I had to ask "why is she wheezing". One staff member glanced up from her phone and said "oh...she barked all day yesterday i guess"....I asked if we should go to the vet. They seemed confused by this question. The other staff member said she should be fine in a couple of day....Alright. As we were leaving the staff member was kind enough to casually mention the kennel nose. "It's because she isn't kennel trained" they said. I informed her that she is in fact kennel trained and says so in her profile. At that point they were too distracted with their phones to even reply. The moment we got home my pup drank a whole bowl of water and instantly fell asleep. She was so exhausted and lacked her normal spark. It was than that i noticed that her back paws were stained in urine and caked with dried poo. Again she is Kennel trained. She loves her kennel and NEVER goes to the bathroom in her Kennel. I cannot help to think that she was left in her kennel for HOURS in her own filth. After this experience I have to say that I will not be boarding my pup at this facility. Her anxiety is absolutely not the fault of the staff however they way they communicated her experience and lack of empathy and just plain customer service was astonishing. read more
