I went in for coffee and tried their Vietnamese iced coffee. It was anything but a vietnamese iced coffee. Service was great. Really friendly. But the coffee just didn't work for me. I don't see myself coming back here for coffee, but maybe this is more your style. The place does have a solid history and their merchandise is really great.

Super cool eclectic cafe with really good breakfast options for all likes. They roast their own beans and have a variety of tasty coffee. We had their lattes iced and hot and were lige saving after a night of partying. The breakfast burritos were bomb and reasonably priced. The avocado toast beautiful and delicious. They have plenty of seating inside and out as well as many tables, games and books in the back part of the business. Its very cool dog friendly surfer vibe and a must if you're in town. Steps away from the beach and Santa Monica pier. I took a bag of their light roast whole beans and I am still enjoying their amazing coffee at home.

Lived here for so long and never tried it until I was craving a breakfast burrito and saw that they had a vegan option. The line was a bit long, but moved quickly, as they have a lot of staff. Lots of locals as well as tourists. Plenty of seating in the patio area and a couple inside. Everything from breakfast to lunch and coffee drinks. They have some cute merchandise for sale as well. Yummy vegan munchies burrito. Parking: street or side neigborhood Prices: $5-16 avg Dietary: vegan and vegetarian options Seating: covered outdoor patio and outdoor as well

Great place, I loved the pictures of people's dogs! I got the Havana latte and it was decent. Overall, pretty decent.

I'm five months pregnant and ordered the munchies burrito and an iced vanilla latte from dogtown through DoorDash. Let's be real - the cravings are real and I've already had a coffee today so I noted to make the latte decaf on my order. My pregnant brain made me anxious and I decided to call dogtown to ask if they can make it decaf (duh - logically I knew this!). The lady on the phone said of course and I felt better. Fast forward 20 minutes, got my delivery and a handwritten label confirming that it's decaf. Thank you dd and dogtown!

Been 4-5 years since I've eaten here (since I moved out of Santa Monica) and a lot has changed but also stayed the same. Enjoyed a Munchie's burrito and dark brew coffee. Munchie's burrito has evolved. Still good filling with avo and chipotle mayo. I like the ratio of eggs and meat. Taters are not as crispy as they should be and get lost in the burrito but so what. Coffee as always is the best. I'll still come back again. Also, nice seating areas in the patio and wider selection of drinks and food.

Knocked off a star because it was hard to get anyone's attention at the mobile pick up section. An employee was stuck scrolling on her phone, so I went up to the cashier instead to pick up. Anyways, ordered a gluten free lox bagel. They didnt have the bagel and offered me gluten free ciabatta instead. I tried this and it was really good, the ciabatta was too good to be true to be gluten free.

Stopped by here for a quick coffee and ended up getting a pumpkin latte -- it was pretty good! Nice flavor and really comforting to sip on the go. The coffee spot has a great patio vibe with music and plenty of space to hang out. Really chill, dope spot overall! Parking: Street parking available nearby.

Busy coffee shop on Main St in Santa Monica! Great lattes, quick service, and excellent staff! Pro Tip: patio seating outside to enjoy shade and a latte!

I don't usually get obsessed with a new coffee spot...wait who am I kidding yes I do! The salty dog coffee at Dogtown is my current fav. This is the 3rd time getting it this week. Love the beachy ambiance. Grab a coffee and go take a beach walk, instant mood booster!

This place is really great! On weekends they have live music 11-1 and they have a lot of seating outside. Some of it is covered by a tent. The staff members are friendly and the coffee is good. Strong espresso and good draft coffee. They are also obviously dog friendly.

$20 for a salmon bagel. Then I asked for avocado toast. And they're telling me it's coming to 17+ dollars on a bagel with a piece of overcooked egg, toasted bagel and a quarter of a nasty unseasoned piece of avocado I brought it to the clerks attention and he tells me he doesn't know what to tell me that he's not the cook in the kitchen m. a As I opened up the sandwich and showed him a horrendous display of unprofessionally poorly prepared food. In an industry where restaurants are struggling to stay open and the mastery of Gourmet Cuisine and or even simplicity of properly prepared foods, restaurants are shutting down left and right in Los Angeles and here poorly prepared, unprofessional and non-hospitable staff keeps their doors open. I am so disappointed It doesn't matter what city you're in or how high end you want to be, to not have respect for the food and have no respect for the customers is completely absurd and preposterous. Not to mention that there's $60 for Day old gallons of coffee "cold brew" I was completely robbed today Let it be known ...STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

    Organic Matcha Latte

I've walked by this place many times. It has a cute vibe and the server was nice, but I ordered a matcha and it was definitely made with cooking grade matcha (tan/brown color), wasn't whisked at all (clumps) and made using low quality almond milk (the milk is not the worst, but it just didn't help the drink). I was bummed because it was $8 and probably the worst matcha I've ever been served. I hope everything else is really good -- I haven't tried their food so maybe try for yourself. Just do not get the matcha. People are nice and it's a lowkey spot. Bummed it wasn't a good drink.

Hi! Is this a god place for gluten-free and vegan options? Also, is OAT MILK a latte option? If not , know any one-stop-shops around?

There are MANY gluten free and vegan options here! And they have oat milk, amongst other dairy free options.

Can I find your drip coffee anywhere else in the Los Angeles area? Difficult to make the trek with a toddler sometimes.

Hi Genevieve Thanks for the message and support! I know the pain all too well as I dare not take…

What coffee roaster do they use/serve for espresso?

Supreme Beans. They are located in the valley.

This smoothie packs a powerful punch, almost felt like liquid energy & helped with my jet lag almost immediately on my second visit in July! Note | While I know of another popular place where everyone gets smoothies, in my opinion, this smoothie is the best! I've tried both! Also, incredibly flavorful and not too sweet, like the other! Also, glad I brought along my thick, reusable glass straw! Customer Service | Super friendly on both visits, in June and July! On my first visit, woman at the counter, helped me decide on a smoothie, because there were just so many options! I told her to make it in a way that she loves and it was perfect, and I got the same thing on my second visit! Gentleman at the counter on my second visit was super friendly as well! Parking in Santa Monica is rarely easy, so I considered it a small victory when I actually found free street parking in the neighborhood during my most recent visit. My go-to order is usually the D'Lox Toast or the D'Lox Sandwich, but this time I opted for the D'Lox on a bagel. It was absolutely delicious as always, though seeing the $20.65 price tag for a bagel sandwich is always a bit of a shock each and every time. And, of course, I couldn't resist pairing it with a Wazuka Matcha. Another $8.50 later, I had one of my favorite matcha drinks in hand. All said and done, breakfast for one came to $32.28, which is pretty steep especially for a place where you order at the counter and find your own table. That said, the quality is consistently excellent. The ingredients are fresh, everything tastes great, and I always enjoy my meal and overall experience at Urth Caffe. If the prices were a bit more reasonable (and the crowds a little smaller), this would easily be a five star spot for me. Until then, it's still a place I'll happily return to whenever my friends want to go.
