    Cappuccino with almond milk

This place never disappoints. Consistently good coffee, quick service, and friendly faces every time. The best selection of pastries! I love the Apricot Croissants. Highly recommend supporting this local gem. Ambiance and music is very calming.

This is my favorite cafe in all of Santa Monica! The hot lattes are so so good. You must try if you live in the area. Such a great spot to grab a coffee with a friend. The owner is also so sweet and hard working and the place is very beautiful. There is even a German club here!

Cute coffee shop that's around the corner from UCLA Santa Monica medical center. I dropped by to get a latte and pastry then went home but I wish I could have stayed longer! Their coffee is wonderful - I recommend the bear latte and they have a large selection of pastries. The decorations are pretty and it feels like a good spot to read a book or do some work!

Stopped in about noon on a weekday, and immediately felt welcome. The space is charming and clean, the menu varies to a small degree, and food is brought in fresh. The prices are very good, considering the location; I was surprised, pleasantly. I also looked that they can accept cash. I got an Americano, black, and a pastry with cardamom, the last one there. The coffee was just strong enough (an Americano is often too watery). The pastry was delightful, light, flaky, fresh, a nice mix of flavors without any one being overbearing. I'm frequently at UCLA around the corner, and SGI Buddhist HQ a few blocks away, will definitely be back!

Cute and quaint cafe near the hospital on Wilshire. Ordered two beverages for the road, both extra hot... Mocha...3 stars. Comes already sweetened of which I'm not a fan. Lots of foam for a mocha. Cappuccino...4 stars. Better but still mild Space...4 stars. Bright and spacious inside. There's seating outside but limited on the sidewalk.

Very pleasant visit to Cafe Berlina. Such a cute and quaint coffee shop with a German theme. When I walked in, there were a couple people enjoying baked goods and busy professionals coming and going. I ordered a dirty chai with almond milk and it was great. The chai wasn't super spicy, but the espresso in it was delicious. I got to taste one of the muffins and it was so fresh and flavorful. A lot of their baked goods look amazing. They also have some grab and go sandwiches. This place is great to grab a cup of coffee, or a quick lunch. Only a few small tables inside. When I was there, there was only one woman working so there was a little wait between ordering and getting our drinks because she was helping other customers. But despite being busy, the service was great. I recommend checking out Cafe Berlina if you are in the area! I loved all the small details here like the German steins.

I've had their quiche, baguettes (and sandwich!), sweet and savory scones, a variety of sweet and savory croissants, banana bread and cookies. All really great over a few days too. I've also gotten their jams which are really fresh and not overly sweet. Perfect to go with any of your pastry items. And the item everyone talks about... those cinnamon rolls. Usually, I am really not a fan of these. But here I've been lucky to come in when they are ready and out of the oven, still warm and when you bite into them, just divine! The same flakiness that you get from the croissant but with the frosted cinnamon bun texture and flavor... amazing. The employees are all super friendly and helpful, while the line is usually out the door, they work fast so I haven't usually waited very long. It's just a casual pickup place so you see the hustle and bustle of the kitchen making all the goods in the back and they also have a drink menu (I'm currently addicted to their iced hojicha latte).

She took me here. The place was very clean and tidy with a lot of different types of sweet treats. I was there for one thing only. I did ask the gal working if they were made that day and she said yes. We ordered a raspberry, an orange, a coffee bean and the popular mango. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these. They look so beautiful but the taste is a let down.

Sinners & Saints Desserts offers a splurge for a luscious dessert, yet scrumptious for those that need gluten-free treats. Be mindful that their kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free one, but precautions are taken to minimize cross contamination. I used to work in the area & came across this bakery, but never got around to trying them out. Since my daughter's birthday was coming up, I thought about trying them out since their desserts were beautifully displayed... they should taste good, right? I ordered the current favorite flavor: red velvet, & asked if they could decorate it with pink flowers & birthday message in red. The cake looks plain with just 3 pink roses, but the birthday cursive was pretty good; however, for the price, it wasn't worth eating a super dry cake. Our family of 4 barely ate 1/3, & tried giving it away to our neighbors, who were also unimpressed. The Smack Pie was supposedly a decadent chocolate lover's sinful treat. It was meh... the ganache wasn't silky-smooth but did taste fudgy, the caramel was hard, & the peanuts were stale. We did enjoy the Banana Cream & Lemon Blueberry Tarts to offset the very dry birthday cake. Luckily, I bought these to compensate for the cake so the birthday girl was happy in the end. Sinners & Saints Desserts sounds like a deliciously tempting bakery but some of their goods miss the mark. I don't think I'll be purposely sinning here much. Recommended: Lemon Blueberry & Banana Cream Tarts.

Chef Yang Soon began developing the reimagined classic Helms Bakery twelve years ago but could not have anticipated the huge changes that were to hit the dining landscape with the Covid pandemic. The decline of going out / dining out, changes in spending habits and the rise of delivery services made this Art Deco styled concept bakery financially unsustainable. Helms has a fascinating history. In 1932 their bread, Olympic Bread, was declared the official bread of the Olympic Games. This led to worldwide recognition. Delivery wagons, or coaches, brought bread, doughnuts and other baked goods to Angelenos' homes with their slogan, "Daily at Your Door." Helms was the bread that astronauts in Apollo 11 took to the moon. World Famous.
