    Cheers - best pistachio latte
    Te-see B.

On a rainy, gloomy day, I made my way over here for what else...COFFEE! I dropped my sis off to UCLA for an appointment then made my way over here for my favorite "Pistachio Latte." There was a short line but I waited patiently to get my fix...Extra Hot, No Foam, ofc...I wanted every sip to last. I also ordered a fresh cheese danish with fresh yummy blueberries. Plenty of tables inside and small tables on the very slender patio. You order at the counter, get a number, and they will bring your food/drink to your table. Very clean and this location is quite pretty. Reminded me of a cafe in Europe. *Street parking only ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

Evidence of Heaven - entre grilled vegetables with pesto salad 1/2 order!!

Roasted vegetables with pesto entree 1/2 order was categorically phenomenal! Divine! Transcendent!! Euphoric! Sublime!

Went to Urth Caffé and had such a smooth experience--no line (which is rare), and the crowd was super nice. The vibe felt calm but still lively, which made it a really enjoyable stop. I ordered the grilled chicken pesto sandwich with an almond honey vanilla latte, and both were so good. The sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and filling, and the latte had the perfect balance of nutty and sweet without being overpowering. The menu is fun, the food hits, and the prices are actually decent for Santa Monica. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

I've been here three times in three days and haven't been disappointed once. The lattes, smoothies, matcha, and pastries continue to be of good quality. Very happy that there always seems to be pastries in the case no matter what time I stop by!

Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad (Seasonal)

This was my first time visiting an Urth Caffé, there isn't one in the IE, and I was pleasantly surprised. I tried the burrata salad, which I'd never had before, but it sounded too good to pass up, and it did not disappoint. The balsamic vinaigrette was so flavorful that it balanced out any bitterness from the arugula, and the burrata itself was creamy and delicious. Just an overall really good salad. My husband finished his huevos rancheros burrito, and my cousin finished her Caprese sandwich, which says a lot, everything was really, really good. The ambience is very cool. There's some outdoor seating, and on a beautiful day it's perfect to sit on the patio. You order at the front and they bring the food out to you, so it's more of a cafe-style setup rather than a traditional sit-down restaurant, but it works really well here. Great food, great vibe, and a solid first experience. Five stars!

I always love coming to this Urth Caffé location! It can get pretty busy, but surprisingly there's usually not much of a wait. The service is always good, even when they're busy. Definitely my favorite location compared to the others!

I've visited a few different Urth Caffé locations on separate occasions, and overall the experiences have been consistent. The food presentation is always beautiful and the ingredients taste fresh. I've tried the grilled sandwich with a side salad perfectly toasted bread, melted cheese, and jalapeños for a little kick. The mixed greens were crisp and lightly dressed. On another visit, I had the smoked salmon plate with tomatoes, red onions, capers, cream cheese, and a bagel. The salmon was fresh and the portion size was generous. I've also had scrambled eggs and other brunch items simple but well prepared. That said, this place is expensive. Considering the locations and the type of food they offer, it makes sense but it's definitely not a budget-friendly spot. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're on a tight budget or in a time crunch. It gets busy, especially during brunch hours, and you should expect to spend some time there. Overall, it's a lively café with fresh food and consistent quality, just be prepared for higher prices and a wait during peak hours. The staff at this location are very friendly.

    Mocha and Bread Pudding

Love Urth Cafe. It's been a while since I've been. The mocha and bread pudding are still amazing. If you can get a seat, I recommend dining in, as the people watching is always amazing. This visit including watching a guy's day being totally made by a getting approached and asked out by a woman. Took him a few minutes to realize what was happening, but I'm pretty sure that he was happy for getting a cup of coffee that day. Even if you don't have a LA moment, their drinks and pastries will make your day.

Pretty short line and lots of tables available for Sunday brunch! Food was really good, Spanish latte is always so good. I got the huevos rancheros burrito and it was very filling. The banana oatmeal was reeeeeaaaallly impressive. The banana syrup was perfectly sweet. Love sitting outdoors too!

The best coffee in Los Angeles and great food and dessert options. If you are looking in Santa Monica and looking for a healthy or hearty meal, urth is a solid choice. I've been going since they opened and know several of the staff by name. They always great everyone with a smile and even though it's fast casual (you order at the counter, then they bring everything to you) they aim to please. My favorites include waffle and oatmeal for breakfast. For lunch, I love all their soups, the farmer's salad served with the gorgeous nut and fruit bread, the tostada with grilled chicken, spinach tortilla quesadilla with veggies, and if I'm really hungry the pot roast sandwich served with an au jus on the side. I find their eggs either overcooked or undercooked, so I avoid them. I find their pizzas too bready. Desserts are excellent especially if you are hosting a party, get one of their cakes to go or a bunch of the single pastries. I love their flour less chocolate cake, pumpkin pie, cheese danish, and fruit tart, but you really can't go wrong with anything they offer. They have vegan options for desserts too!

Updating with more photos! Absolutely love this place! The sweet potato pie was a decent size and tasted incredible. Original Review DELICIOUS!!! They use Organic Wazuka Matcha and dairy free milk. It's so smooth and silky! The latte was well made and also tasted great.

    The lovely fire.

On a recent visit. I was devastated not to have time for any of their delicious baked goods, which looked as incredible as always, but did get a chance to enjoy a coffee by the fireplace. It was fairly quiet and beautiful on a Tuesday morning in October.

Hang with the locals and enjoy a rooibois rumi latte or Spanish latte and homemade vegan oatmeal cookie or brownie with huge chunks of walnuts. Whenever we fly into LAX we make sure to make Urth one of our first stops.

We were lucky enough to find a metered street spot directly in front of the restaurant and did not have to wait long at all for our Saturday morning brunch for a table of two. It was a really sweet treat and I enjoyed it. For my breakfast, I chose the Eggs Benedict with the Sujuk sausage and added avocado and croissant. It was one of the best combos I've had in a long time and I am already eager to go back again to get it. We agreed to outside patio seating at tall seats which is more than fine. but we were sat at a shared table with a family which is fine when you have context that you are doing so, but i spent the beginning of the morning listening to two different children play of their phones blasting the sound. additionally both the seats we were in were directly in the sun which for me is fine but my bf burns very easily. but okay fine, it is what it is. We politely waited until the table next to us emptied, and then told the waitress we would like to move because the sun. She said we would need to wait and she would need to check. And then came back and told us they were too busy. We watched the seat we wanted to sit in be empty until we asked for boxes for our food. We watched another table stay empty until we left. The waitress never introduced herself either. Additionally, no one checked up on us during the entire meal. Usually any sit down restaurant would ask how your meal is. No one did. we weren't even given silverware when our meals arrived. we had to go get them ourselves. We had to ask for boxes after sitting and waiting for anyone to check in. We separately had to call out to the oblivious waitress to even pay, as she was standing out there just looking around. The food was great, like i wish we would have had cash to tip the cooks themselves bc the food was really good. But Ive attached photos of the food (great!) and photos of the many empty tables that made them sooo busy they cldnt accommodate the paying costumers that already ordered. my boyfriend and I have both worked in the service industry before. But i would just say that they had horrible service which can ruin a perfectly good meal. I hope if the owner is the one I met at the door, he considers getting new waitresses .

I go to brunch because my girlfriend loves the food selection and mimosas. Now that you know the context of my review, I can honestly say that Sweet Maple broke my streak of disappointment with brunch and is now my #1 brunch spot! We came here for the start of our 10-year anniversary celebration. I was scouring Yelp for brunch spots that seemed adequate. Then I came across this gem. Their menu is extensive with robust and hearty meals. I do not like breakfast items, but when I saw the Korean fried chicken and Omurice, I was shocked and locked-in for this experience. The reservation was set for 8:15. Upon arriving, multiple members of the staff welcomed us was warmth as we walked to our table. I was told the gold standard of service contained multiple check-ins from the staff and constant refills whenever the drinks are half empty. They followed both of these points to the letter! I felt taken care of and all of the staff were always doing something. Also, the food came out insanely fast! I was not ready for all of it to arrive piping hot and all at the same time! The setting is very beautiful. The decor is nice and bright, the chairs are soft and comfy, and the colors go so well together. Moreover, even when busy, the seating areas are still breathable. Last but certainly not least, the food. I was blown away from the ratios between the price, flavor, and serving size of the food. We ordered a mimosa flight, Korean fried chicken, tornado galbi omurice, and the jam juicy Lucy burger. The meat on the burger was nicely seasoned, it had a generous service of fries, tomato's, and greens. The fried chicken had 5 good sized wings and were crispy. The Omurice was nice and rich. Honestly, I would've been fine if it did not come with short rib because the flavors were already so good with just the rice and egg! The portions were impressive. We both left filled to the brim! 5/5. I will be returning to this location to really put it to the test. I will bring the whole family a little later in the morning to see how well they perform during peak brunch times with a large group. I have high hopes. Until next time, Sweet Maple! Maybe brunch isn't so bad after all. ;)
