Would have given 4 's but the owner was a straight up $&@/-:;)! Someone else gave a review about how horribly his son was treated. I was there and witnessed it! It started off great! Had a cinnamon chocolate twist and it was so good! Coffee was on point, hubby was happy with his buttermilk donut! Thought we found our new spot! Until......we heard the owner scolding a kid sitting in the last booth. She asked him how long he would be sitting there. Very rudely! Than proceeds to tell him that people spend $5 to sit and eat donuts in the shop. At that point I couldn't hold my tongue! I asked her why she was being so mean and rude. This poor kid said his dad asked if he could wait there and was given the ok. She started acting like a crazy person saying she's the owner and no one else. Ok I can't even finish this as it's upsetting me all over again. I will never spend another $1 on this place. Donuts are just not worth it! I'll pray for her. read more

The decor here is cute. I kinda wanna hang out here. That isn't a common thing at OC donut joints. They have comfy booths, free wifi and yummy Jalepeno Ham and cheese croissants. Hard not to inhale the entire thing. They don't make breakfast sandwiches which is too bad. The coffee is fine. Nothing gourmet. But this place is nice and so are the gals that work here. You get the normal crowd of retired men who congregate in the am to discuss sports and lament over their glory days on their HS football team. They sit in the front leaving lots of open booths in the back for folks who want alone time. read more

One Sunday a month we take donuts to our adult Sunday School class. We've been coming to the shop at this location for 5 years. That's a lot of maple bars. The lady behind the counter before they changed management was a gem. Used to toss in a buttermilk donut once in a while. New owners have retained the same guys cooking the delicious cinnamon buns and old-fashioneds and the plethora of cake and glazed donuts. To my taste, the maple bars are as good or better than any I've had anywhere. I haven't asked them whether they buy canned maple topping. I don't think I want to know. Doesn't matter...it's perfect. There are a number of booths so you can eat in, have a cup of coffee and read the newspaper. I've had the coffee and it isn't horrible, but I can't really recommend it. There's a 7-11 close by if you're brave. read more

OMG! My buddy Larry from Costco was right these donuts are AMAZING !!! I went in for my favorite donut an Old Fashioned with chocolate. I was to late they were all sold out. Instead I bought a maple bar and a white sprinkle. They were so delicious! The staff were very friendly and very hard working I could tell. I want to like them. They are super convenient but they mix in their old donuts in your batch when you buy a dozen and I think that is shiesty business. Im not paying for a dozen of mixed old and new donuts... also... no bathrooms for a customer not even when he's a two year old that goes in for a chocolate donut at least once a week. read more

I'm on a quest. Several, actually... One quest this week was to find a good if not great donut shop near me, so I took the Yelp reviews out for a spin. I tried "Doh-Nut-Hut" first because it was easy to get to. I ordered an old fashioned glazed, and a tall biscuit shaped thing with maple glaze. The lady who worked the counter (owner I'm guessing) was nice, gave me exactly what I pointed to, poured me a coffee and brought the half and half pitcher closer to my cup so I didn't have to look for it. Total was $2.95. So far, so good. The old fashioned is one of my favorite types of donut. That and buttermilk and crullers, maple bars too. This glazed treat had the light, crumbly texture that makes me a fan of old fashioned donuts. The sugar glaze was good. The "lump of dough" with the maple glazed one was just okay. Not sure what I was thinking when I ordered it except maybe I liked that it was smaller than a maple bar and I didn't want to "gut bomb" myself. This is an A-ok donut place. Still on a quest. It would be interesting to me to get there right after the donuts have just been made fresh. At 2 in the afternoon some of the magic seemed to have faded. I visit this place literally almost everyday on my walk to work. The owners are utterly amazing. The customer service is top notch for a donut shop... i mean, i haven't experienced such good service from nice restaurants! The reason I frequent this place is partially because i do love these people... and their daughter... so sweet when she works there. I also LOVE their HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT and BAGELS. I usually get "my regular"... either the croissant or bagel with a french vanilla cappuccino. I walk in... they say, "Hi sweety... french vanilla cappuccino and croissant or bagel?"
