This was my first time at Donut Boss in Los Alamitos. Although the name is Donut Boss, it's much more than a regular donut shop, it's got more of a cafe menu. On the day I went they were having an event so I got to spin the wheel and won free bagel chips, which were pretty good. I got a Hazelnut Oatmilk latte and it was really good. I also got the bacon egg bites and those were amazing! Don't sleep on the egg bites! I also got a Dodger jelly donut. It was good the donut wasn't sweet so it was perfect with the raspberry jelly. The people who work there are so nice! There is limited seating but the vibe is really cozy. There is also a drive thru window so you can totally get you drinks and noms on the go! I'll be back Donut Boss.

Can never go wrong with donut wholes!!!

Ordered 1/2 dozen last minute via Door Dash. They didn't have all of my choices...so they sent extra donut holes. DONUT. HOLES. The best little surprise for this fatty. I love this place!

Because I couldn't wait to eat it so here is the magical cronut half eaten. It's a small family owned business. The people are so friendly and nice. It's a great stop on your way to work. They also have a drive thru which can be long at times, but worth it! I've also been told their drinks are excellent too. Wil try that on my next stop.

Fresh delicious Cronut, was sweet, and perfectly with its fluffy layers of goodness. Never had before.

Great customer service, went thru Drive-Thru, was quick, easy, & the nicest lady w/beautiful done-up nails was quite pleasant. First time here, I ordered Turkey & cheese croissant, chocolate twist donut, & cronut; Me and my friends shared and couldn't believe how perfectly delicious all 3 were. Definitely returning! And telling family & friends about Donut Boss! (Who or What is really the BOSS?? lol)

This cute little drive-thru coffee and donut shop may be small, but there is a lot going on! We went inside today for coffee and Apple Fritters. What a treat! Staff are super nice and friendly. Everything was prompt and served with a smile. I noticed that the drive thru kept quite busy. There are plans to add some outdoor seating as well. Plenty of parking available.

First time visitor Small cozy stand but has a full service donut bake good coffee selection Few parking spots but there is also a drive through too Very cozy festive decor with seating for like 6? Greeted warmly Ordered a croissant which was huge Plain cinnamon toasted bagel And avoided donuts for now but will come back Also serve a variety of caffeine drinks and minimal food like breakfast burrito and bowls Definetly local hole in the wall but will come back to try more. Seem plenty to offer in a functional cute decorative space Thanks for starting my day with tasty goodness

Adorable hole in the wall donut shop! I only went here for the first time because I ordered on Too Good to Go. I got so much for my assorted bag! Their donuts are delicious, soft, fluffy, and definitely hit the spot. Don't forget to try their bagel chips too! It's a small shack with limited seating but if they were open later, I would definitely do some work here. Friendly people working behind the counters!

Such a cute and cozy donut shop with a great vibe! The employees are always friendly and welcoming, and you can really tell the place has improved under the new management. I love that they do themed donuts and drinks every month... it keeps things fun and gives you something new to try each visit. They have the best selection of classic and fancy donuts. The cronut is definitely my favorite! They also offer a great selection of savory breakfast options, like avocado toast, bagels, and croissant sandwiches, if you're looking for something a little more filling. The drive-thru is also super convenient when you're in a hurry. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

    Vegetable breakfast burrito

I ordered a vegetable breakfast burrito flavor wise it was decent but rarely any veggies in it and I picked out the potatoes it tasted old and dry. I also payed for salsa and I got a cream based sauce. I would NEVER give old potatoes to clients. Please check the quality of food before you serve it.

I always pass by Donut Boss but never thought to stop in--until today! With a little extra time on my hands, I decided to check it out, and I'm so glad I did. This cute little spot has a quaint charm that makes it inviting. The decor is simple yet warm, with lots of natural light, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a treat. The parking lot is somewhat small, but they do offer a unique carpool drive-thru, which is innovative and definitely a plus for those on the go! Once inside, I was greeted by the tempting aroma of freshly baked goods. I went for the classics: a glazed donut, a chocolate donut, and some donut holes. As a firm believer that a well-made glazed donut is the benchmark for any donut shop, I was excited to try theirs--and it did not disappoint! The glazed donut was light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, striking that delicate balance between sugary and airy. Now, let's talk about those donut holes--wow! They were not only delicious but also the size of the palm of my hand! Incredibly soft and fluffy, these little gems had that delightful yeasty flavor that made them hard to resist. I couldn't believe how satisfying they were, and they definitely set a new standard for donut holes in my book. You really get your money's worth with these! And the chocolate donut? It was fried to perfection and generously dipped in rich chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn't have that burnt taste that I've encountered too many times elsewhere. It was decadent without being overwhelming, which is a feat not easily achieved. The cashier was friendly enough, though not overly so, which I found refreshing. He was quick and efficient, getting my order right without any fuss. Sometimes, all you really need is a smooth transaction, and that's what I got. Overall, Donut Boss is the perfect pit stop to grab some delicious donuts to kick-start your day or enjoy as an afternoon treat. The quality and flavor of the donuts definitely exceeded my expectations. I'll be back to explore more of their offerings, especially considering the enticing selection I saw while I was there. Highly recommend this charming spot to anyone who loves a good donut!

I was craving for donuts and didn't wanna travel too far for some. And then I remembered that it's been a few years since my last Donut Boss experience. Well, I'm glad I gave them another go coz they're better this time around. I had my usual glazed donut... it was fluffy and fresh. While a tad too sweet for my liking, the donut was still delightful. I had no complaints about the service. I got mine via their drive-thru so I can't say much about the ambiance. Overall, it was a good buy and decision.

"Twilight" menu: I hope you can see the beverage titles and ingredients. The line moves pretty fast so I had to catch a shot driving away!

I've been a loyal customer for a while but this is my first review. #1- Their baristas are very kind, cool, and attentive. Great service! #2- Their coffee is amazing, blends, seasonal drinks, teas, wow! So many options and add-ons. Their Twilight menu last year was so fun. (Their menus are fun and artistic.) #TeamEdward. #3- My boss absolutely loves their bagels and he is a bagel connoisseur. I took a dozen to work and everyone loved them. Very fresh. #4- The drive thru moves fairly quickly! #5- Their breakfast options are delicious too, crescent sandwiches or a burrito.

Here we go.... I've lived in Los Alamitos for 2 years and this is the most convenient donut shop close to my house. I've came here over at least 20 times.. each time is a hit or miss.. I usually always get the egg bacon and cheese croissant brown sugar decaf latte with oat milk... each time it's a different experience.. I guess it depends on who prepares the items. Each time I say I'm not going to go back .. I end up going back out of convenience. However today will be my last time... the service is also a hit or miss.. it's cool too see young kids working however that's comes at a cost. The food and drinks are very mid. The price seems to fluctuate each time I go and the quality has been very subpar. Unfortunately the cute aesthetics and pet friendly vibe will not suffice for the low quality service, food and beverage.

This is supposed to be a strawberry matcha. Is the matcha in the room with us? Cuz all I stated was milk and syrup.

It was a hot day and it was hot in the restaurant. Would definitely suggest turning the AC up. Temp aside, Jose provided the best service. So friendly and kind. Making sure we always had what we needed. I was really craving a traditional breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes, toast and a side of pancakes. The food did not disappoint. Everything cooked perfectly. Hubby enjoyed his omelette as well. The OJ was refreshing and coffee was really good. We got a slice of banana pie and a cinnamon roll to go and they were both so good. Contacted them directly has requested, but never received a response. Tonight's family decision to order once again was a bit hesitant, but we decided to try again as with the majority of my household just did not feel like going out to eat in person. I was a bit taken aback by the robotic assistant taking the order over the phone. But with patience and proper instruction from the order taker, it seemed as though everything was good. It even read back the order to me to make sure everything is correct, as I did have to correct it once before completing the order. I also received a confirmation of the order via text after receiving a link to pay online through a Yelp service here. Unfortunately it happened again. We got home and found that one of the items was incorrect, and one item had something that should have had a standard addition to it but it did not. In particular it was a French dip sandwich that was served without the au jus sauce. There was no indication over the phone that I would have had to confirm that I wanted au jus as it is standard with the item. The other item that was wrong ended up coming as an appetizer rather than a dinner. Even though we did try to consume the items, they just weren't satisfactory and it was difficult to eat the sandwich without the au jus. I've already contacted the restaurant directly, pretty much only being able to send a message through the website as there is no one answering the phone directly by a human being. We'll see if I actually get a response this time, not just the automated response from the business manager here on Yelp. We've never really had an issue dining in, but sometimes my family just doesn't feel up to going out as we have two senior citizens in the home who would rather stay in in order of food sometimes. Clearly now that this has happened yet again, we are just going to refrain from ordering over the phone or through the website.

It's my absolute favorite breakfast burrito in the area. I get it with eggs over medium- comes with chorizo, potatoes, cheese and bacon. Great portion, amazing texture and the flavor is on point from start to finish. You can actually taste each component instead of everything turning into one salty breakfast blob. Every bite has something going on in the best way. Seasoned perfectly. Chef's kiss. The homemade salsa is fire too. Spicy, flavorful and exactly what the burrito needs. It cuts through the richness, wakes everything up and makes the whole thing even better. Dangerous stuff honestly, because now the burrito feels incomplete without it. I believe they got a mild and hot. Fries were bomb too. I ask for extra seasoning and they come through. The ketchup was also weirdly good, chilled and delicious. Could be Heinz, could be homemade, could be magic. Either way, I want more of it. The vibe's chill and down to earth. The people here are genuinely great imo. Friendly, easygoing and consistent every time I've stopped by. You place your order, they give you a ticket and you pay when it's ready. They also have a fun drink selection, including Calypso drinks and Stewart's root beer in cans and glass bottles. I respect a deli that gives the drink fridge some effort. There's seating when you walk in and more seating in the back area of the deli. Parking can be hit or miss and the spot is easy to pass by, but that breakfast burrito is worth circling the plaza for. I've done it. I'll do it again. Easy recommendation, the consistency of their food and service is on another level. I'm excited for my next haircut.

The ordering process is easy--you order at the counter first, find a table, and they bring your food and drinks to you when they're ready. The highlight for me was the Banana Cloud Latte. It was my first time trying it, and I absolutely loved it! The banana flavor was smooth and natural, perfectly paired with the espresso and creamy foam. It wasn't overly sweet, and it was one of the most unique lattes I've had. We also ordered the Cream Top Matcha, Strawberry Matcha, Banana Cream Top Latte, and Butter Cookies Latte. I asked for the Butter Cookies Latte with less sugar, and it was perfect--the buttery cookie flavor really came through without being too sweet. For brunch, we had the Breakfast Burrito, Omelette, Avocado Toast, Chilaquiles, and French Toast. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The portions were generous, and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. The café has a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of specialty coffee and brunch items. Whether you're meeting friends, grabbing a coffee, or enjoying a weekend brunch, this is a place worth checking out.
