The Donut Center is a solid donut shop with fair prices and good quality donuts. The buttermilk glaze donut was $1.95 which is a fair price and about the same price as other donut shops around the area. The buttermilk donut had good flavor but was slightly smaller than what I'm used to. The service is quick and friendly. I'll still get a donut from here when it's on my drive home and will try some of their other donuts too. read more

Very poor customer service! I walked in saying good morning and got no response. Not even how can I help you or what would you like. I asked for a medium coffee and asked if they had any bagels. The guy at the cash register was very rude and the only thing he said we don't have bagels in a very rude way. My daughter and I literally just left there and I couldn't wait to get home and leave a review. The place inside is super clean and very well kept and put together. The girl behind the counter couldn't be any nicer and bubblier. Now the donuts, every single one them jumped out and grabbed me - sure they are the typical donuts that you would find in any other donut shop. The thing that set these apart though is they are bigger and brighter. They all look like they came straight out of a machine, they were absolutely perfect looking. The tasted as perfect as they looked, I like when donuts have a little of that toasted crunch. The cake in the cake donuts is fluffy and flavorful, the cinnamon roll has the perfect balance of cinnamon in it and the chocolate bar very good size, and the chocolate was amazing. I'm really picky about donut shops. So many keep their donuts way too long or the shop isn't very clean or attractive. Stopped in after reading previous Yelp reviews. Donuts should really be judged in the morning, when they're plentiful for comparison/contrast and fresh out of the vat. I visited after 2pm in the afternoon. Few donuts in the case. Some of them didn't look so attractive. The sugar coating seemed to shrivel the puffiness of the donuts. Like someone added too much water to the sugar coating. The donuts are definitely larger than most places. Each donut cost about 80cents. I bought 2 donuts: a plain cake, and a chocolate covered raised donut. - The plain donut was tasty - good flavor, nice consistancy. - The raised donut was good, too - light, fluffy, tasty, but the frosting, most of it came off on the bag because it was too thin. Not much chocolate left for flavoring. Like I said, I might have gone to the shop too late in the day to fairly judge their merchandise. I'd definitely stop again. My local donut shop closes around noon. Sometimes we want a donut in the later afternoon and I believe these would fill the bill. Two main reasons to return: - Great customer service. Enjoyed a nice chat with the solictor. She was welcoming, charming and personable. - Extra clean, airy shop. Not an easy task to keep a place clean with traffic coming and going all day. I hate to leave a bad review but I MUST warn others! I have gone to this donut place since I was a kid. The lady who works the counter is so sweet, which is the only reason I boosted this review from 2 stars to 3 stars. Beware of the gentleman that works here! I have only seen him a few times. I am not sure if he's the owner, but please count your change when you leave this place! The other day I went in to order a dozen donuts. The cost on the board said $11.25. I ordered them and also ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The pricing for the bagel was not on the board. I was told my total was $15. $15?! So my bagel was $3.75? What!? I paid it and didn't say anything at the time because I was processing it in my mind. How could a dozen donuts cost $11.25 but a bagel is a whooping $3.75? I think he thinks I didn't notice but I sure did. What happens next is even worse! The lady next to me ordered a donut and a coffee. I'm not sure what the cost of one donut and a coffee is, but when it was time for her to pay I heard him tell her that her total was $2.70. She paid him and counted her change and was a $1 short. She questioned him saying you owe me a $1 and he said that the total was $3.70! I thought quietly to myself that is not what he told her and she questioned it as well. She seemed mind boggled, the same way I did as I pondered how my bagel could cost so much, but eventually let it go. My warning is to please please please count your change when going here folks and make sure you know the cost of what you're buying before you pay so you don't get ripped off like me and this lady did. Went here last Saturday and bought three doughnuts while I was on lunch from work. The young lady to help me was kind, but only thing is she dropped the doughnut on the floor and to be honest, I didn't see if it was the same one she gave me or not. A few hours later I got home and got a doughnut to eat and then decided to rip the bag open (to cut a large chocolate doughnut in half) and I saw a small black thing like rat poop (I've seen rat poop before to know what it looks like) in the bottom of the bag I tried calling but they were closed and I had to call them the next day on Sunday. I called and described what happened and whoever was on the phone was very, very rude and was not listening to anything I was saying. They ignored me and told me to come in to talk about it instead, I asked the lady for her name several times so I know who to ask for, and she refused to give me her name. So instead of trying to resolve it over the phone, I'll just let others know, so they can be aware and if they get doughnuts, make sure you double check your stuff. read more
