Don't remember the girls name then, except she had those catty glasses, very helpful and cheerful. Not this time. I go in to order the food I wanted. I came in spoke very clearly and said I needed to make an order and the girl at the counter (springy red hair) seemed displeased and began typing on her computer. She asked what food I needed and once again clearly speaking I said Nature's Logic Sardine and I need a 20 or 25 lb bag. She said oh we don't carry that so I explained what I was told last time I was here so she said ok let me text me boss but I'm not sure when I'll get back to you. Cool. TEXT..? Like who does that professionally? I will not return. Get your employees to take care of business! One star for this visit. A second star is given for the effort, efficiency and quickness to obtain information from the last visit: whoever you were you knew how to get things done.

Some of the other things I love about the White Center location: + it's larger, so it has more products and greater selection + the DIY dog wash area has a door that closes so your pooch can't run off + the DIY dog wash tub is a new metal tub with a sliding door (I love the vintage tub in the Georgetown shop too, but the new tub feels a little easier to work with) + everyone is so friendly and helpful, especially Jen! Hot tips: Bring your leashed doggo with you for lots of love and attention and treats (duh). Washes are cheaper on Wash Wednesdays! Also, they'll take an adorable Polaroid of your pupper to display on the wall.

They're also quite helpful. I purchase duck treat snacks here and may start to look into purchasing dog food as well since they have a natural selection. Their prices are quite decent. I highly recommend this shop for any of your furbaby needs if you happen to be in the area.

My dog loves the food, treats, and supplements I buy here. Also, the cashiers provide excellent customer service and always make me and my dog feel welcome. They're kind and lovely people! The manager is always so nice to us and gives us great offers and coupons and such. We buy the wash punch card deal to get a better deal on washes. They also have a GREAT selection of foods that a lot of stores in the area do not have for dogs and cats. The staff is nice and kind, and they love pets. They are always willing to help, and are great at helping us find what we need and making sure the baths are ready to use. The store is independently owned and operated. It's a franchise. I highly recommend Pet Supplies Plus. It's one of the best pet stores in the West Seattle area and is run very efficiently.

On April 22 I made a conscious decision to go in to urban feed and garden to purchase a tree for my…read morewife's birthday, instead of going to a box store to support a local business in my neighborhood. I paid about 40% more for a tree, a one inch caliper hornbeam in a plastic pot. The tree had a little bit of leaf burn on its new growth, but I chalked that up to being root bound in a pot, so I purchased the tree. I was landscape contractor for years, I have planted hundreds of trees so I planted this tree giving it the best possible chance for survival. With regular watering the leaf burn continued to spread, even though I held off on fertilizing the tree, until it showed signs of some growth so I wouldn't burn it or shock it. Last week I pulled it out of the ground because it was completely dead, when I did there was zero root development. Anyway, I know from experience that sometimes new plants just die but when I was running a landscape construction I warranted every plant I ever sold to a customer. If a plant died within the first year, I would replace it. I could usually bring these plants back to the vendor and exchange them for a new one, but those were real nurseries like Gurneys or Molbaks. I called this nursery and explained what I've written above and they told me they couldn't help me, I even asked if they would just give me another tree and they declined. We live in a different world, where accountability and responsibility are foreign to a lot of people. I won't be going back to Urban And garden.

The Ideal Pet Stop…read moreseems to serve mostly those in the Seward Park neighborhood, as it's one of the main businesses in the area. We walked inside and there was one employee working and stocking shelves. The place is untidy and disorganized. There were a lot of boxes of products that were all around the walkways of all of the aisles, needing to be shelved. With that said, it wasn't the best or safest place to walk around in since items needed to be off the floor and on to shelves. They do offer great products here though for pets. Lots of different options for food, treats, hygiene products, car seats, etc... They also sell mice inside. We were able to get some free samples for our dog, but we did notice that the prices here are much higher for the same product that's sold at our pet store in Bellevue. I also noticed that in addition to pet supplies, they sell some home basics like toilet paper, milk, soaps, etc... Again, it seems to serve the local neighborhood partly as a convenience store. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back to Ideal Pet Stop, but it's nice to know this neighborhood can come here for its pet needs and perhaps more.
