If you've ever woken up one morning and asked yourself, "Why haven't I ever spent $90 for a pair of underwear?" -- your life will be complete after visiting Dolce & Gabbana. In a lot of ways, coming here is a lot like coming to a more expensive Diesel: it's hit or miss, where in most of the clothes are a hit, but the few misses are horrendous with a capital Whore. "Whore", in the most forgiving way possible, of course. After all, this is high-end shopping mall fashion, here. If D & G tells you that a neon-green, $480 moob-hugging skinny-tee is what's hot this season, then it simply must be true. This branch is smaller than both the South Coast Plaza and Beverly Hills locations, but you get the same mix of [sometimes] surly security guard, majority friendly employees, and small minority of slacker clock punchers who think they're too important to answer your questions or offer you help, because they're living that fantasy where they're working some catwalk in Milan or Paris, and not patiently waiting for their fifteen minute break so they can grab a scone at that Starbucks cart upstairs. Selection at this D&G is good and reflects the current season's offerings on the company website. Sizes are European, so if you ask for a small, expect a label that says something like "36" or "38" instead of "S" inside. As for that $550 cable knit sweater's pricetag -- no translation necessary. Yes. It costs too much. And yes. You will still find a reason to buy it.

    Lemons were there theme

I love my D and G sunglasses so I decided to check and see if there was something else I would love. They had a lemon theme going on which was cute for spring but I wasn't really feeling the styles that they offered. The dresses were too young and the blazer was too boxy and short for my taste. I prefer a more tailored shape. They had some cute lemon printed pumps but they were not very comfortable. For that price point you would think they would be amazing. I felt like Goldilocks I couldn't find anything just right. The nice gentleman clerk was helpful.

This is my favorite D&G! Every time I come into shop the stylists are so kind and helpful and will call me immediately once an item I reserved is in. For the amount of money I spend here I expect and receive beyond excellent customer service from them. Keep it up!

I've done the majority of my shopping online since COVID, and with some purchases and price points, I want to see items before I cough up the coin.

Does Flirt Clothing live up to its name?…read more If you're expecting an inanimate building to ask your name and number, then no. And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

This is a nice store that carries clothing and accessories that you probably won't find at most…read moreother clothing shops on Melrose Ave. Most of the stores on this street tend to carry the same type of clothing. I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.

They never have more than 5 of the same piece so the chance of seeing someone else in it is extremely slim. My sister and I were in town to see a Laker's game and someone at our hotel recommended that we check out the stores on Melrose. Bliss was our first stop and the only place where I found an item I HAD TO HAVE. Bliss carries unique fashionable pieces are very reasonable prices- the owner has a great eye. Cute dresses, nice blazers, nice tops - they have it all! I loved my new blazer so much that I wore it out later that night. We went to a lounge, didn't dance much and definitely didn't do anything outlandish. I literally sat down most of the night (boring, and uncharacterisitic of me, but hey, it happened). Later on, we went to eat and I looked down at my arms and the entire inner seam on both arms had ripped open leaving two huge gaping holes. I had no idea how it happened. The next day, I returned to Bliss, and without any hassle at all, the owner exchanged my ripped blazer for a new one. No questions asked. I am aware that I just happened to have impeccable timing and the owner was there when I went back, but I can't express how grateful I was. The sales associate was also really nice both of the days that I went into the boutique. Bliss, you definitely have my vote. I'll be back in LA in a few weeks and I will definitely be paying you a visit! Thanks, again!
