The service was a bit slow (took 20 mins to take our order) but the linguini and clams pasta was delicious. Seasoned well with fresh pasta.

I'm new to the area and happened upon Dolce while exploring the area. The restaurant is sooo adorable! Absolutely beautiful decor very modern, tasteful, and fun! I ordered the Margherita FLATBREAD and my husband ordered a Cesar salad with salmon. The food arrived and I was disappointed that my FLATBREAD was basically a mozzarella cheese pizza with five basil leaves on top. I usually order a Margherita pizza if I find it on a menu because I like the simplicity of the Neapolitan dish... very little sauce... Fresh tomatoes ... a few slices of cheese...and a few basil leaves. Simple. Sadly, there was so much cheese on the pizza the thin dough was soggy and a mess. I scraped all the cheese off and ate the edges that were not soggy. My husband said his Cesar salad was good. When the waitress came to leave the check I asked her if this was in fact their Margherita pizza... she said yes. I explained I was surprised because the menu said there were San Mazano tomatoes used and there were none. The waitress explained its a San Marzano SAUCE. I explained there's a discrepancy then in the menu description. It was a cute place... we may return only next time inquire further about the preparation of their dishes.

Very nice rustic old world style, it's small classy kind of a Tuscan feel. In Rancho Santa Fe Fairbanks area. Had the Wagyu Burger and Lasagna Pros: Location - If you live/work in the area, then you know how easy it is to get to. Wine - If you like wine, then this is a spot for you. Lots of choices at all price ranges. Food tastes freshly made but need a little more seasoning Cons: Price/Portions - The food is expensive considering portion size but what isn't expensive these days.

Dolce has definitely come down IMHO. We've returned for take-away following the COVID-19 shutdown. My favorite has been the Dolce Burger, but the quality of the meat has declined, as has the preparation. "Rare" was prepared "Medium" at best. The brioche bun was stale. And they tried to charge an uplift for blue cheese ... and for the bacon that is part of the menu description! The "half chicken" is little more than a chicken breast bounded out to form what looks like a half chicken. Tasty but not as advertised. Dolce has take-away, delivery (Grubhub), and dining in the restaurant. Social distancing is enforced, as is the face mask requirement. Major problem is that Dolce will not honor gift (bonus) cards bought last December beyond their June 30th expiration date ... despite 3+ months of COVID-19 lock down.

Now the meat Bolognese Lasagna at Leucadia Pizzaria is honestly unbeliveable. Solid, perfectly structured layers of pasta and rich cheese held together beautifully -- not sloppy or falling apart. The Bolognese sauce was packed with real, hearty meat, not just thin sauce pretending to be meat. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and satisfying. After having some truly disappointing, mushy lasagnas at nearby restaurants -- with barely any real meat and no structure -- this was on another level. This is what authentic, well-made lasagna is supposed to taste like.

But we had two orders of eggplant parmesean which were not great. The sauce was wonderful but the eggplant was improperly cooked so that a portion of them were chewy/inedible. It was so disappointing! When I went to pick up my order, only three tables were occupied and three other customers came in for takeout orders; it wasn't busy. It's hard to understand why our eggplant parm dishes weren't prepared correctly. The good news is that the service was very good, as was the garlic toast that accompanied our food. It was even a tad sweet, which made it different than the way restaurants usually serve it. We like it a lot.

One of our friends came here before, had Gavin as her server and SWORE the best pizza ever was a mushroom and roasted garlic pizza. We quickly got in but I don't recall if my friend made reservations. I'd suggest making them just in case because this place was booked and busy, justifiably. FOOD: We shared 2 salads and 3 pizzas. It was a perfect amount of food for us. We also got a charcuterie board that we devoured before I could snag photos DRINKS: Both co their mocktail options (passion fruit and cucumber) were amazing. A few in our group got beers as well as a gin & juice which they loved. We didn't feel rushed and Gavin, our server was incredibly attentive. I had asked for the bacon/meat on the side for the pizza and when we asked to get the best salad, he already knew to put the bacon bits on the side for the salad too. He even snagged us more roasted garlic when our group needed a clove for each bite. He was so great! We'll be back for mor! Ask for Gavin, he's one of the best!

First bite of Perfect Pizza was when a friend brought a whole one to my place for movie night. Solid pizza no complaints. Because it was good, my boyfriend and I decided to call in a few weeks later for another Pepperoni pizza pick up before we head to our event on 6/24/25 evening. We spoke to a woman on the phone and headed there after a good half an hour. Let me start off, the younger gentleman that greeted us when we came in was friendly and accommodating and probably having to deal with a mistake that wasn't his. He couldn't find our pizza and as this was happening, an older bald gentleman in uniform comes into the store and asks what's going on.. tries to "fix" the situation. He asks "did you speak to a woman or man on the phone?" We told him woman. And it's like he knew exactly who we were talking about. After coming back from the kitchen, he tells us they FORGOT to make it. He said it so matter-of-factly like it's something normal. "So what happened was... they forgot to make it" - verbatim how he said it. It's been over 40 min? How does this happen? No one was really that apologetic except for the younger guy when I told him how I felt at the end. They make the pizza which takes an extra 10 min. He charges us normally as if nothing happened. The girl working comes out of nowhere "are you the one who ordered the sodas?" And we nod and out of nowhere, across the room, the older gentleman cuts her off as she continues and says "SHE WANTS TO KNOW IF YOU WANT THE DRINKS NOW." Weird interaction... We hear "Pizza ready!" So we stand up thinking it's ours. Nope. It was the older bald employee who says "Oh this one's mine! I just came here to deliver it to my daughter" and skips away with his pizza and leaves. Okay... must be nice. Weird once again Finally the pizzas ready, almost an hour after we called. We were now running later than we expected to our plans. Again, no one barely apologized or even tried to win our business back. Everything was handled so matter-of-factly, I couldn't believe this was the place people have raving about. The younger gentleman did apologize when confronted and he said they'll do better next time. He was probably the only positive about this interaction. The pizza was good of course. But this whole thing was annoying. You have an "ALWAYS READY" sign right on top but it's not even true!!

The atmosphere alone deserves an award. Huge outdoor patio, real fire pits burning, warm glow everywhere, TVs in all the right places, people relaxed, laughing, enjoying life. It's chill, romantic, classy without trying too hard. You can show up casual or dressed sharp -- either way you belong. In the middle of what I jokingly call the "lost city suburbs," this place feels like Beverly Hills secretly relocated to Escondido. Now the pizza... my God. This is not pizza -- this is gourmet art. Perfect crust, balanced ingredients, real flavor, not that cheap greasy nonsense. Every bite feels intentional. Whoever runs that kitchen knows exactly what they're doing. Wine selection is excellent too. Not overwhelming, just smart, tasteful choices that actually match the vibe. But what truly made this visit unforgettable was Mari, the manager. In many years of traveling, restaurants, and business meetings, I rarely meet someone with that level of presence. Absolutely stunning, naturally beautiful, yet incredibly professional, sharp, and genuinely kind. She helped me charge my half-dead Segway right at the bar without hesitation -- who does that? That alone saved my night. She even convinced me to order a properly crafted non-alcoholic drink so I don't look like some lost Red Bull kid at the bar. Respect. Mari represents what hospitality is supposed to be -- effortless, intelligent, warm, and real. This place is not pretending to be great. It simply is. 10 stars. Easy. One love. Amen.
