    Brunch Menu, Apr 2026
    Linda F.

Visited again for brunch, and again a sub-par experience. We ordered one tuna Nicoise and an order of huevos rancheros. The food was spot on, but service not so good. We were seated the front "outdoor" area--a very pleasant space. Our server entered the room several times to take orders from other tables, and I tried several times to get her attention, but she kept her eyes down and never once looked our way. Fortunately, another staffer, in the indoor dining room, saw what was going on and came to help us. Kudos to him. I also found it quite offputting for the window washer to show up and begin washing the exterior of the windows which were right up against the tables. Not very appetizing to have dirty, drippy water running down the glass so close to us while we were trying to enjoy our meal. One would think it would be possible to arrange to have this done outside of normal meal hours. Such a shame because we love this place in the evening. The wine pairing dinners they hold occasionally are stellar too. Just can't recommend for brunch.

Sadly, the West End is slipping. Went with friends yesterday and it was rough. The Crab Louis salad barely had any dressing gone it, there were about 4 cherry tomatoes and 10 long string beans. The chopped salads and the crab came with diced avocados that were rock hard. When we told the waiter, he ignored it and cleared the plates with a pile of them in every bowl. The clam chowdah was watery. Maybe going on a Sunday evening was bad timing. Not sure if I will go back at this point.

What a gem in Del Mar! @westenddelmar is an absolute favorite -- from the perfectly steamed artichoke to the cozy, flavor-packed cioppino and a steak that truly delivers. And whatever you do... save room for dessert. Trust me, it's worth it Ricky is soo nice and caring love it here such a delightful menu.

Elevated dining experience off the beaten path and good for a nice meal after visiting Torrey Pines. You can even walk there from the Torrey Pines North Beach parking lot. I tried a breakfast burrito, which was pretty good. It wasn't your average burrito and they elevate the cuisine with nice touches such as a sauce on top.

Came here for an early dinner to celebrate my birthday! I ordered my usual; meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies, dark beer and figgy pudding for dessert. I loved it so much last visit I just had to get it again. Lovely service, excellent food, beautiful view. What more could a person ask for?

Very happy that my husband found this last minute for our anniversary date night. Beautiful aesthetic and absolutely phenomenal food! Got the Tropicale Salad to start. And it was quite a nutritious and hearty salad. Fresh mango and tomatoes and hearts of palm with the rugula and that dressing was unbelievably good! We asked for the dressing on the side and added only a little and it was just perfectly enough. Added some grilled shrimp on top and that flavor was really lovely! Only downside is that there were only four shrimp there and portion size of the hearts of palm and the mango was also quite little. So it was a lot of arugula with very little of the extra toppings. Mussels in Coconut Curry - real good! What a large portion size of the muscles and the sauce was also very smooth and had a nice distinct coconut flavor with a nice herbiness as well. Grilled crusty bread on the side was very soft and perfect on the inside and crusty on the outside. The combination of the muscles with the sauce and the bread was really lovely. Del Mar Crab Ravioli - UNBELIEVABLY GOOD! I have no words to say how good this was! Really large raviolis with a good amount of filling(real proper crab not just some mixture of stuff) + very delicious creamy sauce. Super good! It was only 4 raviolis, but they were large!! That also got us a Figgy Bread Pudding on the house when I happened to mention that it was our anniversary dinner. The bread pudding was SO soft and warm and cozy and just wow! Super yummy and indulgent. Server also recommended a vanilla ice cream on the side and it was just the perfect sidekick. 10/10 recommend this place. Everything was a hit and service was really nice as well!

I had a great time here for weekend brunch! Great location by Torrey pines beach. It was very empty when I was there which was interesting. They have a lot of indoor and patio seating. It was clean. The service was outstanding as he was very kind & attentive. I ordered bottomless (22$) which was worth the price. I also ordered the crab cake bene which was crispy and flavorful. My friend didn't like her omelet though. The menu has a lot of great options such as sandwiches, soup, tacos. I would come back to try the clam chowder. Parking will be tough on the street.

First time visiting yesterday at Happy Hour with my dog in the patio . Very nice setting and very efficient and welcoming staff , had two cocktails and cerviche all tasty and delicious . I would highly recommend this very appealing bar and restaurant in a very picturesque location .

Located right across from the Los Penasquitos Lagoon this little brunch and lunch spot is on the border of Del Mar and Carmel Valley. I have driven down this street countless times over the years and I've seen all the different versions that have been in this place and will say West End is my favorite of those. We usually stop in for breakfast and every time that we do it is consistently good. Inside is also recently remodeled and they did a really great job with the bar area especially. There is a free parking lot attached out back otherwise neighborhood parking is also easy to find. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. We started off with the Shrimp Ceviche, which is pretty good, although it was a little too watery in my opinion. It almost was like a soup with some ceviche in it. For my breakfast, I chose the Crab Cake Benedict and thought it was fantastic. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the crabcake was full of crab flavor and I just loved it. They were also perfectly crispy and I really enjoyed the meal as a whole. They also have other great options on the menu so I would highly suggest to anyone in or near the area to give it a try.

Pretty solid brunch spot! Lots of really yummy options, both savory and sweet! I'll have to go back and try more than things next time! Had the original Bloody Mary, crab cakes Benedict and the duck potstickers. All were great, service was excellent, they have a parking lot behind the restaurant, and prices were comparable to other spots in the area for the current market. 6 of us ate with drinks for $200 (automatic 20% gratuity included for our large party). Ambience was cozy, rustic, lots of windows let us have some great natural light in. Perfect spot to grab a bite after a walk in Torrey Pines.

I would only recommend coming for happy hour to get drinks and appetizers. The entrees I had (Steak Frites and Wagyu Cheeseburger) were disappointing. The steak frites were very bland and dry. 2 burgers in our group were ordered medium-rare but as shown were close to well done. Fish and chips and the Duck were decent. We tried almost all of the appetizers which were delicious. Cocktails great as well. Overall for the price I would expect everything on the menu to be fantastic, but that is not the case.

Tucked away in Del Mar, West End Bar & Kitchen is a laid-back neighborhood gem with a scenic lagoon backdrop. The menu leans contemporary American with fresh seafood, hearty portions, and crowd favorites like clam chowder, crab ravioli and more. The vibe is relaxed yet lively, especially on the patio during sunset. Service is friendly and attentive, making it an easy go-to for brunch, happy hour, or dinner with friends. While some dishes shine more than others, the overall experience is good food, strong drinks, and a beautiful setting- makes it worth a visit. Shoutout to Ricky for being our favorite server! Definitely coming back!

I will highly recommend this restaurant amazing food from food to cocktails. Service great attentive and knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing view and the choice of patio or outside sitting with a sunset view. Food pricing really affordable for brunch and dinner. I will definitely keep coming thank you for taking care of me and my family .

I had an amazing French Martini, with titos vodka, chambord, lemon juice and a raspberry to bring it all together. Quite an astounding drink. I cant wait to have one again. For an appetizer, we did the short rib mini tacos and they were really good. They put small drops of salsa next to them for an added kick and they were pretty great additions. I wanted a steak dinner so i had the closest french dish to it, in streak frites. While i wasnt crazy about my steak being cut up beforehand, the chimichurri that came with it was very good, and the fries were perfect. Just enough for a very filling dish. My wife went with the Seafood Linguini and she stated that it was the best one that she had ever had. Mixed well with butter and chili oil, the entire dish came together, leaving her to use the crostinis to lap up all the liquid when she ran out of protein and pasta. It was a pricey dinner but nothing bad to be said about it. Every thing we got was perfectly worth every penny I put into this date out. The service was great and I will definitely come back here again.

It's located in the skydeck food hall in del mar heights (near one paseo), next to Jimbo's and…read moreHandles ice cream. There's a bunch of little food joints inside. Bartender was great, made a few delicious cocktails and service was prompt. Looks like they have some good HH specials too (I posted the menu in case it's helpful). Very cute and decorated atmosphere. I personally enjoyed it.
