Thank God for Cris and Shelbi! I had gone to Aveda Institute for a few simple money pieces, I came out looking ridiculous my hair was an orange splotched, grey, and purple mess. I was able to get an appointment the day after the unfortunate hair happening. They took time to formulate a plan and condition my already over processed hair with olaplex. I thought my hair would melt but they were very gentle and had to wash out the color in stages. It's not perfect but close considering what they were working with. absolutely horrible experience. they gave me purple streaks in my hair UNWARRANTED. I showed them a picture to use as inspo and it was just a dark brown. The hair dresser put PURPLE streaks in my hair and never even mentioned it in the consultation. she never mentioned red or purple. this is ridiculous. after I complained, they offered a free redo the next day but she didn't care enough to FIX it completely so she washed my hair with dawn dish soap. they don't give refunds OR take accountability for their mistakes. do not go here and do not waste your time on this shit establishment! read more

I can't say enough good things about Apple! I was referred to Apple by a friend who always has the best color after I saw a photo of rainbow hair on instagram and decided to go for it. She made my dreams come true exactly! I hadn't dyed my hair in a long time (since I grew out my gray 6 years before) so I was nervous, but Apple listened to exactly what I wanted and made me feel so comfortable. The first visit took a while since we had to lighten the hair before the color could go on. Apple was so fun to talk to and the time flew by! We talked about self love, crystals, the power of words and the BLM movement. Definitely time well spent and I left with some great tips. The salon was very safe with a limited number of people, masks, and regular cleaning. And now I have my rainbow streaks just like I pictured! As soon as you enter into the massage room with dimly lit lights, crystals, and tuning forks, you can sense that she has put the effort in to make this space sacred and safe. The magic begins to unfold as she works her reiki into her massage. If you have an understanding of how the body stores trauma, then you also know that it can release it! That's exactly what she did. Memories from childhood came up, blocks that felt like density started to lift, fears that I had that held me back disappeared. And her massage skills are unbelievable! She's so gentle and careful with my hair, never tugging or moving quickly and recklessly. If you're someone who gets ASMR, this is tingle city for an hour+. For example she mixed two different bleach mixtures to make sure my regrowth and my previously faded-red-box-dyed hair would lighten the same amount.
