    Chicken Parm

Definitely some of the best pasta in West Chester for sure. I came here for a date night with my partner during restaurant week for their 3 course dinner. She had the tortellini soup and I had the Grandmas meatballs. The soup was underwhelming but the tortellini was fresh but were lacking in comparison to the meatballs which were rich and paired with a delicious red sauce. We both had their chicken parm with blush sauce and it was the best part of the night. The chicken was tasty but the pasta in blush sauce was amazing. The pasta was perfectly al dente and held on to the sauce perfectly. The desert was nothing special. But I would certainly come back for their pasta and nothing but their pasta.

It was pretty busy when we came, so service was a bit slow but it was understandable! The food was absolutely amazing.

Meatball appetizer and beet and goat cheese salad. Both good although the meatballs were not hot.

We've been to West Chester many times but have never been to dolce Zola. While doing a Yelp search, it came up as a BYOB, but upon further inspection, I noticed cocktails and wine on their menu. When I called to inquire, I was told that you can bring wine and beer and that there is a $6.50 corkage fee for wine. All was well when we arrived and were promptly seated (we had reservations). However, what I didn't like was being seated in the basement next to what appeared to be a dirty air vent. The ambiance downstairs was lacking and didn't seem to have vibrant energy that was present upstairs. The upstairs seemed newer and more modern too. It also took some time for a server to approach us and explain the menu (QR code). While I didn't mind that during the pandemic, it seems unnecessary now and appeared identical to their online menu. After finally ordering, our appetizers did take some time to appear. However, the meatballs and beet/goat salad were quite good. Unfortunately, the meatballs may have been sitting there for some time waiting to be picked up as they were barely warm. I loved the spiral pasta (trottole) in my pescatore and was happy the chef didn't shy away from using garlic. My husband liked his chicken piccata too but didn't rave about it. Overall, good food but found the atmosphere lacking in the basement.

I was on a date with my partner and this place was delicious. The caprese salad was super hearty and the pasta is homemade and was super fresh. We were seated on these very tall chairs right near the entrance to the kitchen so there was a lot of traffic where we were sitting, but that was okay since the food and service was overall great

Fantastic. Truly in-house, scratch pasta. Great Italian food should be simple - at dolce Zola, every dish is beautifully crafted without being too "upidty". The chicken meatballs were so incredibly moist while being light and fluffy (not labeled on the menu, the three smaller meatballs are each topped with a generous dollop of ricotta). For entrees, the Carbonara was so saucy and rich (in a non-overbearing kind of way), the pasta perfectly al dente, and the dish *chefs kiss*. The salmone affumicato was flavorful with so many layers to the dish as well. We always love coming here because we know the quality is top notch. Can't wait to come back soon!

Very nice restaurant. Almost a 5-Star. Let me explain.... Food was very good. Authentic Italian fare. Service was excellent. Ambience was nice. Appetizers a bit overpriced for what you get. Although they were very tasty, quantity was lacking. We ordered both meatball appetizers, 1 chicken and 1 beef. Three very small meatballs. Either add a fourth meatball to each order or make them larger. Eggplant appetizer was very very good but again, not enough for the group to all try. The dinner entrées were very good. My family and I all agreed that they were generously portioned. We spent $40 on appetizers and $80 on entrees....we felt that it would've been better just to order an extra entrée for everyone to split as an app. We may do this in the future That being said, we will be back for sure. One of the best Pomodoro/marinara sauces around! Thank you very much

Do not park in the lot next to the building because it is for the US Postal Service and your vehicle will be towed. There is a parking garage around the corner on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut Streets. The cost is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. We ordered an Old-Fashioned with Woodford and a Blueberry Shaker. The Blueberry Shaker was only 3 dollars more than the regular drink and it yielded a total of 4 drinks for my partner. The drinks were good. For our meals we had the Steak and Shrimp Bourbon, Bourbon Street Burger, and a side Caesar Salad. Everything tasted very good. The decor is New Orleans Style although not completely authentic. There is a beer garden for those who want a less formal atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly good at her job. She was very friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed her service. First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.

We definitely over-ordered but told plenty home for leftovers. For appetizers we ordered the pork belly bao buns and the Thai salad with shrimp. These are more entree size so be forewarned. The bao buns came in a taco server and had three buns filled with plenty of pork and a spicy aioli. The Thai salad came with 5 nicely charred shrimp and a Napa salad. This ate a little dry-I would have appreciated a bit more dressing- but I can see where more dressing might have made this a bit soggy. We would definitely order these again For entrees, we tried the burger and the chicken pot pie. The burger was a double patty with cheese, pickled onion, and a mayo based sauce on a sesame bun. I have to say I was happy to see that they opted out of the usual sad lettuce and anemic tomato that is typical of early spring. I think it was lacking some salt as it was missing something but overall was ok and served with crispy shoestring fries. The pot pie was topped with some puffed pastry and had a nice velvety sauce with hints of tarragon. Very nice. My dining partner finished my burger and took most of the pot pie and the side salad that came with it home. Even though my dining partner couldn't finish his regular entree, he wanted dessert. After looking at the choices the server suggested the seasonal dessert which was beignets with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberries. I was reticent but was happy with the choice because the chocolate dipping sauce (of which there was plenty ) was DELICIOUS! The beignets were fried puff pastry or croissant dough that one dipped in the warm chocolate fudge-y ganache and/or whipped cream. I ordered coffee which paired well with the dessert and it was delightfully fresh. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Decor is industrial farmhouse. Clientele consists of workers from the local courthouse up to about 6 pm when we saw families starting to file in. Nice place, good food, good value.
