I typically go for their seasonal items, to get cheap home decorations and play items. It's a dollar store, let's face it- the items aren't probably going to last very long, but also you didn't pay very much for it. I have to get greeting cards there, because after somebody looks like a greeting card once, but usually recycled. I get outdoor play items like bubbles and sidewalk chalk, as thy are typically more reasonable than you're even going to find at Walmart.

The older cashier who was working the register was ringing up a lady with a shopping cart full of…read moreitems. There were over 10 people waiting in line. I asked her if she could call someone else to a register, and she said the only other person was at lunch. There was another associate less than 20 feet away. I asked, "Could you call a manager to help check people out?" The associate was able to hear me, came over, and started checking people out. Come to find out she was the manager, and that other lady could have asked her at any time to help check people out, she just chose not to.
