I went there looking for baking soda but was having trouble finding it, so I asked a worker where it would be. The first time I asked, she ignored me, so I asked again. This time she looked up at me and said "the other aisle". I said "um the other aisle"? She said "yeah the other aisle". i shrugged it off and went on looking for the baking soda in the "other aisle" which I finally did find. after that I went to the register to check out and stood there for at little over a minute while the cashier was off to the side texting on her phone. I didn't say anything. I just waited until she looked up and saw me. She didn't say a word to me as she rung up my purchases and after I paid and the receipt printed, she tore it off and literally threw it at me sideways while coldly saying "have a blessed day". Then immediately walked away. I don't know if dg changed their training program recently, but that Is definitely not good customer service. I will definitely think twice before going there again.

As any Dollar Store or Family Dollar, the store is overcrowded with supplies, items, and groceries…read more There's never enough room in these stores for more than 3 people on the aisle together. The store manager, employees, and customer we're very friendly, and very helpful. There's not much that sits at this intersection or many stores for this community so this Dollar General is well.appreciate to be right outside of the subdivision.

And, going to build one about 2 miles from one in a lovely custom neighborhood which doesn't a restriction on that lot. Go figure. This isn't shopping at Wa*m**t, it's smaller and worse clientele. Tonight, oh wait, have I turned into one.. No, not really, because I complained every step of the way. There was a 12 yr old boy who so crude to his father, I would left the store. No, Dad bought him whatever he wanted. A future Magnolian punk. Each time I go, because an HEB takes 30 minutes to get to, there is another manager. Tonight, new checkout person was at the register and was a wonderful young man. Personable and polite. The store is always a mess. Kids open, eat and put item back on the shelf. Where are parents? It no wonder the place is messy and prices are so high. Loss of merchandise. I go when I really need something that can substitute and pay double the price. I can say at Christmas, they have cute glass containers for food items for gifts. You find aluminum trays, paper plates, napkins and tissues at reasonable prices. Candy is horrible expensive for Halloween, Valentine and Easter. Not worth it a non brand candy. Over all, if you need salt, toilet paper, living in the country this is what you get.

Today 7/29 I went back to the same store & it was awful! I saw a young lady ...Brooklyn, a store employee sitting on an aisle on the bottom shelf in the back of the store talking on her cell phone. I thought wow that's not right. So I went to checkout a few minutes later & she was at the front to ring up my purchase. When i approached the Checkout not ONE WORD was spoken to me! She checked me out handed me my receipt...still not a word. You would think someone would just KNOW to say "hello" but not today! Honestly she wouldn't have worked in my business one day. Learn some people skills Brooklyn...it will get you far in life.

Pro: good prices on some items, especially those well past or nearly expired "best by" dates…read more Friendly staff at checkout counter. Cons: where to begin?... the shopping carts squeal like tortured Siamese cats, the store isles are narrow & so freakin cluttered with overstock stuff you need mirrors and backup cameras to get around. It's not very clean in the store, but some of that mess is clearly brought in by the trailer trash children running wild through the isles. (Dear Dollar General customers - please put your nasty little troll like beasts on a lease or lock them in the car, oh...remember to crack the widow for air). I don't recommend using the toilet unless it's an emergency of biblical proportions. The lighting storewide is poor, especially where they sell lightbulbs ironically. The Heath & Beauty goods isles are so mixed up I found mouth wash next to the drain cleaner and eye drops next to the ethnic hair dye. No doubt there's some decent buys mixed in amongst the low quality items, and for some the hunt is part of the fun. Well, it's not as bad as other Dollar General locations I've been to, just not a place to bring your out of town family & friends... unless it's some sort of field trip or research project on local discount places.
