I purchased an item that rang up at $2.99, but I thought it was supposed to be less. I walked over to verify the shelf price, and it was clearly marked as $1.99. When I brought this to Randall's attention, he acknowledged that it may have been an error on the store's end but insisted it was ringing up at $2.99. I politely asked if he could either adjust the price or help me find the item that was actually priced at $1.99. Instead, he rolled his eyes and told me to "just pay for these two items" and that he would look for the other item after helping the customers waiting in line. I told him that I would rather have the issue resolved before completing my purchase. He rolled his eyes again, walked over to compare the items, and within less than a minute the issue was resolved. The issue itself wasn't the item, it was Randall's attitude. If the pricing error was on the store's end, it should have been handled professionally and courteously. Instead, I was met with eye-rolling, dismissive behavior, and unnecessary rudeness. I chose not to call out his behavior in front of the other customers, but it was highly unprofessional. It is a little gem, stuck between two other stores and the interior was decorated like an absolute fairyland of lights, glitter, and good taste. The reviewer who complained that they couldn't get a wheelchair through the tightly decorated aisle or a baby stroller needs to stop and think. The inventory here is very delicate and the chance of catching an item on a moving chair or stroller could be highly upsetting to both owner and customer. LA real estate is very expensive. Commercial spaces that are tighter may limit your ability to shop in the case of small boutiques. That's why online stores are so convenient for all of us. The disabled, elderly, immobile, and for parents of children under six who might inadvertently handle or break delicate items may need to use caution. This is not the owner's fault. This store has beautiful jewelry, but I needed Christmas hostess gifts this holiday. I walked out of there with tons of beautiful hand blown ornaments and holiday decor for the home. Every item was lovely and each presented beautifully upon lit glass shelves. I was so excited to find the items I did that I returned the next day and bought two more gifts. A gorgeous 4" ballerina ornament and a colorful hot air balloon ornament. Nothing you could find in Macy's or Ross or Neimann Marcus. Our New Year's hostess was elated when she opened her LaPerla bag stuffed with colorful tissue paper and the ornaments we brought to her party. The best surprise was the lovely gift wrapping. NO ONE DOES THAT ANYMORE. It's is generous of the owners and kind of them to share such a luxury. I'll be shopping at LaPerla again very soon and want to thank Soma and all her lovely helpers. Finally, I don't have to make a big drive to Salutations over in Pasadena. Why? I have luxury gifts right here in our neighborhood and we're supporting small businesses in our own community. The next morning I colored my hair for an event and when I opened the box for 7-00, it was half a tube of 6-00.Easy mistake. They have a hair salon next-door could've happened. I can see how it can happen. Not a big deal. What is a big deal is how Michelle, the buyer/manager treated me. When I first called her up, I asked to speak to the manager and she said the manager was not in and that she's the buyer she could help me. I told her the story, she said, you cannot return used hair color. I said, it's not a color I used. It's an incorrect color in the tube that I purchased. She said bring it in. I'll match the number with my inventory number and if it's there, I'll take care of you. I was a little frustrated and annoyed at that but I'm like OK. I couldn't go in until Tuesday. And she was not in. The person behind the counter (very nice ) took a picture of the product and my receipt and said she was sending the picture right then and a message. So I left. ***note*** it was at this time that I asked the person behind the counter if Michelle, was the buyer and the manager, and she said yes. *** I come back the next day, Thursday. So I call before heading in. Once again, I asked to speak to the manager and she wants to know who's calling. So, I asked to speak to the buyer, and she's ready to talk. Then, I tell her I'm the one who her associate sent the hair color box and my receipt. And it's frustrating because she acts like she has zero idea what this is about but then immediately says it did not match my inventory number. So that upset me. And I tell her, " that's not true" and she says well you only bought 800. And I said no, if you look at my receipt, it shows I bought two colors!! Now,I'm very frustrated because the finger is being pointed at me and I'm the customer!! I have been calling now three times to resolve this issue. And in her tone, she says how she's not trying to give me a hard time, and I said it seems like you are. And then she says come into the store. We're open from whatever to whatever and hangs up. I get to the store and she is there. I say are you Michelle the buyer, and she says yes. I said I'm the one who's trying to return the color. And she acts like she has no idea, again, about what I'm talking about. So, one more time I have to tell her the entire story. And she knows it. I know she knows. She's not dumb. She is the manager and the buyer. She's capable. She's just playing some kind of terrible game with a customer who's trying to resolve a $13 issue. And that is how I feel. And this is why I won't be returning to the store again and why I had her remove my points that I had and the ability to earn points. I deleted the app. I will never go to the store again because of her, Michelle, the manager, that she does not want to admit that she is. And the buyer She could not have been more rude to me if she tried! Her whole tone, her demeanor, her handling of the products, her body language, her look at me. It was just not a good thing to happen for a $13 product. Of which I had the box and the receipt for. And I brought in the other box that I purchased. And before I left, I raised my voice and I said you are so rude. You're not a nice person and she said I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry she kept saying that. I'm like you're not sorry, you could've handled this differently. You're rude. Your customer service is terrible. the whole time she kept saying, I'm sorry. And I left. As I was walking out, she yells FORGIVE AND FORGET. And I replied, I will forgive, but I'm never gonna forget. And sadly, I won't. And I liked the store. They had great product. There is another lady that was there, that was always very nice. But if a little mistake happens, their buyer/ manager is not the person to resolve that issue. She is horrible.
