This is beyond frustrating to write. Please keep in mind that this is the fourth time this has happened. I held off from writing this because I like Ben and wanted to believe things would change but the inconsideration as far as appointments is out of control and simply disrespectful at this point. There has been numerous occasions where I make an appointment and I walk in with someone just getting their set started. I always move my days around in order to respect the workers time, but also be productive with my own time. This is gelX. I have never had my gelX fall like this. I went in on Friday and Saturday morning first one fell. Went in to fix it and got no apologies. By Sunday one by one they fell off just like glued on drug store nails. 1. Please use decent products when you're charging your customers for it. 2. I called Foothill Nail Salon and they took me in at the right time, last minute as well. Super friendly staff and they offer you complimentary drinks. They were fast, efficient and very meticulous. It is astonishing to even see they have bad reviews. Ben did my nails and he was very gentle. He was very friendly and personable. I love how he did my nails and it feels so light weight. It doesn't feel painful at all. I thought application was supposed to be painful for the day but I just don't feel anything. Super natural and I trusted his style. Prices are reasonable. I'm so very sad to update this review. I've been coming here for years and truly think Ben and Alex are incredible human beings. Their story has touched my heart in so many ways and I think of them often. That being said, I've decided to find a new nail/waxing salon because they are late every single time I go. They have my cell phone number (I text to make my appt) and can very easily send me a quick text to let me know they are running late but they have never done so - not once. On my last visit, Ben told me it would be a long wait, as usual, and I expressed my frustration. I was even more put off when he had the nerve to tell me that I was late - that was the first time I had ever been late and I intentionally showed up late because they are 99% late over the several years I've given them my business. I'm sad that I'll no longer be able to visit FNS but truly do wish them the best in the raising of their young boys and beautiful daughter. read more

I had an appointment today for a gel manicure. I arrived on time, the gel was removed and my nails were covered in foil. Then I was informed that the person I had the appointment with was handing me off to someone else I've never seen there. Not acceptable! I've been going there for 6 months, twice monthly. Today was the second time they were apparently over booked with no regard for regular customers. To bad; there are plenty of other places in the area so I'll try some place new. I would give 10 stars if I could! A month ago or so, I had a trip and got a full set in a coffin shape. I quickly realized when I got home that they were just too long for me! I'm not someone who normally gets acrylics, and even though I want to be that person with the somewhat long beautiful nails, I just have to accept that I'm not lol. I frantically looked for another nail place to see if I could get them shortened. This place literally answered my prayers. They cut and filed them down to a length that I felt comfortable with. At the time, I was under the impression that they only took cash. I gave what little cash I had and asked if I could just run to an ATM to get the rest. He said don't worry about, just to get him next time! I'll never forget the kindness! A few weeks later I returned to get a gel mani and pedi before another trip, and I'm extremely happy with it! I've been looking for a new place after my regular technician cut me twice. I always check Yelp before going anywhere. I came here on a Friday at noon, I had a 12:30 and they could see me right away. Queen pedicure - lots of colors to pick from. Very nice staff. The massage chairs are spectacular! My pediicure was good, no blood, the foot massage could have been harder...next time! They also do massages, facials, waxing, and manicures. Parking lot is small but I found a spot right away. I'm happy with my new place! Ugh-review update. I went 3 hours with no shoes, my big toes are a mess after going out last-night. That tells me the polish is old and my pedicure ruined. 4 stars to only 3 read more

I called and made an appointment yesterday. super easy. I called today because I had forgotten and they told me I can come in earlier. When I came I told them I was gonna wait my car because my phone is dying. They told me to take a seat and gave me a charger and told me we have a fridge stocked with drinks whatever you'd like to take go ahead and help yourself. These guys understand service. They took such good care of me. I got a basic mani pedi and the manicure is one of the best that I've got in a very long time. My fingers look perfect perfect. My pedicure looks really good to only criticism that I could give is she could've cleaned up a little bit better on the edges with the brush after with nail polish remover but it was great they're super kind super attentive and I will be a returning customer read more

I'm an EXTREMELY picky customer, but Ben has never failed to surprise me with his flawless work. Disappointed to have to write this review. Had my mani and pedi done here 4 days ago. Really liked the experience and thought I'd finally found my go to salon. The staff was so great. That's the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1. HOWEVER Polish from my mani was chipping off next day. By yesterday it looked really bad. I'm on vacation and trying to find someplace I can go get another manicure or at least remove the polish because I'm so embarrassed. Glad I followed my nail technician Yen to this salon! And my mom's technician Terry is also here now. I'm so happy to see them both on the same place again. They both worked in other nail salons in Glendale prior to coming to Foothill Nail Salon. Obviously, they're great at doing their job so I followed her here even though it's a bit of a drive. I have an ingrown in my toe nail so it's difficult to clean my nails without me getting hurt. Yen took care of me and now my nails are growing correctly. As for the salon itself, I like it better here as prices are reasonable and clear, staff are also friendly and once you do your appointment they really take care of you. They're like family helping eachother, that if one is busy and the other is not, they'll do the preparation part like start soaking your feet while waiting your technician to finish her customer. They're also very hospitable and offer complimentary drinks while you do your manicure or pedicure. The salon is also clean and neat. I love their seat massager as well. I think I just found my go-to salon. I know they aren't a 5 star yelp salon, but the prices lured me in! This quiet salon is nestled in the corner of a plaza and can be easily missed when speeding down Foothill. Ben was so nice and polite. He offered me coffee and tea, was nice enough to make small talk, and did a great job on my nails! For other reviewers who said they don't have a wide variety of nail colors... I was surprised to see racks of OPI and Essie colors. They also use gelish for gel polish. No complaint there! Clean, friendly, and affordable. $20 for a gel mani... I am sold! read more
