I had a bad leak under my sink all of a sudden so I looked on Yelp, and saw some good reviews for this business. I had already turned off my main water supply so it wasn't an emergency, which is what I told the dispatcher. I received a timely call from their plumber, Al, saying he was on his way. Al was very professional and personable at the same time. He quickly assessed the problem and gave me a decent estimated cost. Within an hour he was done. Great job Dollar Plumbing, and you are fortunate to have Al. Highly recommended. read more

Our water-heater went out over the weekend and Al was able to come on Monday to fix it! He was professional and punctual. Pricing was very fair and he also made suggestions for what kind of work he felt should also be done.... But he wasn't pushy at all, just made suggestions. If you're looking for a great and trustworthy plumber give them a call. You won't be disappointed read more

Al from Dollar Plumbing really saved us when our main line clogged. He was here in about an hour on a Sunday afternoon and had everything sorted about an hour later. All in all, great service! read more

The fridge repairman broke the valve to our main water line and left us without water. I called any plumber that was listed as open. Al answered and said he would be over within the next 1-2 h. True to his word, he came and despite the waning light, replaced the valve and gave us back water. Al was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and did a great job! We will use his services again!! Thank you, Al! read more

Woke up one morning to our sprinkler system manifold bursting and water spewing everywhere. I had to turn off our main water valve, only to realize the old valve leaked water. This emergency needed to be handled ASAP. On a Sunday. Dollar Plumbing was the only contractor able to respond on a Sunday. They came within a couple of hours (they were also servicing other clients that day), gave a reasonable quote, and fixed my issues: they repaired the sprinkler manifold and replaced two old gate valves with new ball valves. They were very friendly and knowledgeable, allowing me to ask questions and talk to them while they were working. read more

We live in Pleasanton and have used Al for several plumbing needs over the past few years. Most recently we had an emergency late on a Saturday night when one of our shower faucets froze open. We had to turn off our water supply to the whole house to get it to stop. We called Al and he came over in 30 mins and fixed it. Great service at a very reasonable price! We totally trust Al and his professional staff. Highly recommended. read more

HUGE RAVE.....This morning I had a plumbing issue and called my go to plumbers but they could not come out until next week....Well, I can't wait that long so I came onto Yelp to find a plumber and BAMMMMMMM......DOLLAR PLUMBING TO THE RESCUE....First off, I had an appointment for a 1pm to 3pm time slot...I got a call at 11am and they said they could come early....SCORE......I would like to say that AL AND KEVEN ARE ROCK STARS......Friendly, honest, and they loved my Pitbull (Which is a major plus).....Al went under the house and found a leak that I didn't even know about....Al was able to fix that leak (Thank God we caught it now before it got worse), and Keven snaked our shower to clear the pipe out.......They quoted us before they even did the job, which I love....No hidden surprises.....This is A FAMILY OWNED business that I will support.......Seriously people, if you need plumbers....CALL DOLLAR PLUMBING AND TELL THEM THAT VERONICA SENT YOU read more

The shutoff valve under my bathroom sink snapped off while I was changing out the sink fixtures. Water. Everywhere. I managed to shutoff the mainline to the house pretty quickly and then called Dollar Plumbing. They were able to come and fix my problem within a few hours notice! They did great work and the pricing was excellent. They even did more work than was needed and saved me a lot of time putting stuff back together. Run don't walk away from these guys, I had a washer spigot broken off by a tenant they did get out there quickly the next morning as there was no water since I had to shut the whole house down. Well they showed up no one ever called me for authorization or pricing in fact what they did do is ask the tenant if they authorize the work I had given them all my info I was a phone call or text away instead they took 825.00 from the tenant to replace a threaded in washer spigot. I guess they are sooooooo good they charge 800.00 a hour cause for the life of me I can't figure out how they could get to this kind of money for a threaded in fitting. You would be very wise to stay away from these guys cause it seems they don't mind taking advantage of someone. Imagine if it's your elderly mother or grandmother they would probably be doing a whole house replumb and given their job based pricing that would probably cost 235,000 or so. In fact if there was negative stars I would give them minus 825 stars read more

We were super happy with Dollar Plumbing when we had them come out after hours late last Friday. Unfortunately our sewage line out of our house started causing some toilets to backup but thankfully they were Johnny on the spot and got over in no time take care of us. We'll definitely call again for future plumbing needs! read more

we needed to have a plumber remove a faucet and garbage disposal in preparation to refinish a sink. also needed to replace a valve. Dollar Plumbing said it was $55 to come out. fair enough. the plumber looked at the job and quoted me something i obviously didn't understand. turns out, after i gave the go-ahead and he performed the work, he presented me with a bill for $650.00 which i negotiated down to $525.00 but still outrageous for a 60-minute effort. Shame on me but BUYER BEWARE with these guys! Lesson learned is to pay by the hour and not the job.... read more

We discovered a leak behind our refrigerator after noticing warping of our hardwood floors. And of course this happened Sunday, when all urgent issues occur. We are thankful that Dollar Plumbing is available for Sunday jobs. Al arrived within the hour from the time I called. Just moved into my Livermore home four days ago so I still had boxes in the garage. Walked out and found the washer hose leaking and getting close to the boxes. After frantically calling Dollar Plumbing, they had "Al" there within the hour! Problem solved quickly and no leak. In addition, Al capped off the gas line behind the dryer because mine is electric, which eliminated a safety hazard. Plus, Al gave me a recommendation on a new water heater for the near future. I'm very pleased with this business, very prompt and professional. read more

They tried to rip me off. TLDR: told me it would cost $350 to replace toilet insides. Didn't do anything and charged me $55 service fee (after they had left my house, knowing my landlord was going to call another company). Other plumber came and fixed it without replacing a single thing. The toilets in my house kept running so my landlord called dollar plumbing to take a look. Two men came, took one look in the tank and told me either the inside of the tank had to be replaced for $350 or the whole toilet for $700. I did find it strange they only took a glance but brushed it off. They left so I assumed since they did nothing it would be free. WRONG. They charged me $55 for this. Oh and they didn't charge me before they left. They called me when they were already in their car about to leave saying they were told to charge me a $55 service fee. If there is a service fee, shouldn't you be aware of that..strange you decide to call me before you leave, after my landlord already told them she'd be getting a second opinion. They told me if I went with them this would go towards my bill, otherwise they just keep it. (KEEP IN MIND I HAD A SECOND PLUMBER COME IN AND FIX IT WITHOUT REPLACING ANYTHING) My landlord smartly called another plumber for a second opinion who came by shortly later. He took a look and was able to fix the toilet by bending the wire inside the tank. He told me how to fix it myself if the issue happens again or if it continues that we need to replace the part. ONE PART. And he said that part only costs $10. I complained to him about how Dollar Plumbing wanted to charge me $350 and he said I'm the second person he's heard of this happening to. Unbelievable! LOOK AT OTHER LOW STAR REVIEWS. A lot of the high star reviews are from fake accounts!! read more

Best plumber for a great price. We had a leak and could not find the source. I called Dollar Plumbing and they were at my home before I arrived home from work. They discovered that copper pipes we're connected to galvanized steel. This creates pinhole leaks in the copper pipes. They replaced the pipe and connection and it is good as new! Best of all, the cost was much less expensive than the other plumbers' quotes. I will call Dollar Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs. read more

I have used this business from unclogging a main drain for my business to my shower at my home which was backed up. Al and his crew have resolved both issues on time at a fair price. Recently, I got a bill paid by my Property Management Company for snaking procedure in the main sewer line to clear out a build up of roots in the line. When I lived there, it is now rented, I would have someone come in to clear the line on the average about once yearly. In the many times I had this done I was never charged more than $175 usually less. The bill Dollar Plumbing charged was $720. and by the description of what was done on the billing statement no more was done than what others had done. This is gouging in the literal sense and I will never use this company ever again to service my property. My recommendation is to look elsewhere if you need plumbing services read more

Al is great. Had an emergency, he showed up within the hour on a Friday night!! Fixed it, was very professional and friendly.

Fast and reliable! Al does a great job and is very friendly! My kitchen sink got clogged and he got right to it and fixed it in no time!

We needed our main water line replaced. We got several estimates but were especially impressed with Dollar Plumbing's response. They not only came in with a very competitive bid but also outlined how they would proceed with the work. There time of completion was much less than others, there quality of materials was the best, and they were very considerate of my husband and myself. Highly recommend them for any plumbing job. read more

These guys charge by the project and are a real rip-off. Buyer beware. They quoted me a price of 65 (at least that is what I heard) and then they presented me with a bill for $650. Shame on me but outrageous for 1 hour job. Lesson learned and hopefully this review helps you avoid my careless error... read more
