I went to shop yesterday and was greeted as I walked in and found the store well stocked. I ended up with a cart full of cleaning supplies. When I was at the checkout I had trouble paying with my credit card, and Elizabeth at Dollar Tree kindly stepped in to help. She was cheerful, patient, and made the whole experience much easier. If you've ever been to this dollar tree and said your interaction with the manager was pleasant I wouldn't believe you for a second. Jen was an absolute disgrace to the company. I couldn't even believe dollar tree or any company for that matter would hire someone so lazy, incompetent, rude, and someone with such a lack of professionalism. It was Fourth of July weekend I came in to buy a few toiletries and a gift card for my niece's graduation party. The wonderful cashier rung us up and said she would have to do a separate transaction for the gift card which was no issue. I payed for my purchase, then she scanned the gift card and said "let me call my manager to put in the pin". Again no issue, manager Jen comes out and says "what" the cashier says "I need you to put in the pin so this customer can pay for her gift card please." It takes 5 seconds to put in your pin and then go back to your break so you could tell I was very shocked when Jen with the most saltiest attitude said "I'm on my break she can wait 10 minutes." Jen. Why would I wait 10 minutes for a task that takes 5 seconds to do. If anything you could've done it and added 5 more minutes to your break. Such an embarrassment to your company dollar tree. I have loved dollar tree for every since I remember I go there to shop. But after tonight I feel disrespected, disappointed. My mom and I had gone to the store because we love spending time there and we always go to the makeup section. We were looking around and when we got the the makeup section. My hands were full so I put some things in my baby's stroller and the employee there look at us weird and at first I didn't think much of it but then she started following us around. We made a 15 minute drive to town just to grab some household paper goods and cleaning supplies. Google had listed that they closed at 7. When we arrived they had signs in the windows that said they closed at 6:50. It was 6:41 and they had a girl guarding the door not letting anyone else in. Pathetic. One day, I was in line and saw Cashier A filling up balloons for a customer. Then Cashier A left (I believe her shift was over) and I asked my cashier (Cashier B) if we could buy one balloon. Cashier B said there was no helium even though I just witnessed someone else buy helium balloons?? And I didn't see Cashier A tell Cashier B that there wasn't anymore more helium? I ended up going to Ralph's next door and buying a huge birthday balloon for $30 because options were so limited . I saw Cashier A in the same line as me getting some stuff!! I asked her if there was any helium left at DT because my balloon was ridiculously expensive and she said, YES AND THAT CASHIER B WAS LYING. I felt mortified and didn't want to confront Cashier B since I already had a balloon. We had a birthday to celebrate that night and didn't want to show up sour! I drive from LA often to celebrate birthdays and holidays here. I've been to this DT every time and I always ask for helium. The answer is always the same without any of the cashiers checking the helium tanks: NO. I've been here 15-20 times now? What are the odds that they never have helium when I'm there? I know now to buy helium balloons below the mountain or to bring a helium tank for birthdays. I advise that you DO NOT RELY on coming here to get affordable helium balloons. I may have saved a few bucks here but it sure wasn't worth waiting 30 minutes in line because the checker was either stoned or operating in super sloth mode. I have never waited in line so long before. I was starting to ponder the meaning of life and count all the nails on the wall. Despite the agonizing check out process, this store does have a lot of variety and items for sale. The last time I was here some of the shelves were empty but overall, I think it's a solid place to get some hand towels, household stuff, and party decorations for cheap. They are supposed to close at 7pm, I came at 6:50 to get ice and thy wouldn't allow me in the store. If they close at 6:30 or 6:50 it should say so. Dollar Tree stores are almost all the same, but this one is a little bigger, which is convenient for those who are camping and are in need of getting some last minute supplies. The store is fairly organized, I found some camping essential items. Customer service is okay. Though the only thing I'd advise is that the kitchen ware items easily break or are not in good quality to use. read more

This Dollar Tree rocks! I stayed at a cabin which has a jacuzzi (I didn't know before hand). With no bathing suit in tow, I went here and found women's t shirts - 100% cotton, too! They also have some children's clothes. Plus to my delight, they sell Mary Janes and Bit O Honey! Nostalgia candy for me. :o))) I've only seen them in by-the-pound candy stores until now. They also had nice Betty Crocker "Tupperware" and a great beauty supply aisle and large end cap of nail polish. The store is organized, clean with fast, friendly check out. It's also great that Vons, Starbucks and DYI home depot-type store are also in the same shopping center. VERY convenient! read more

This is located in a center anchored by Vons. I came in here on the last day of November. First, I didn't even bother picking up a basket because I thought it was just another cheap trinket store. I was actually impressed with the selections here for such bargain basement prices. I found useful items such as hair accessories, name brand laundry detergents, puzzles, and bulk top brand candies. Cashier was very friendly despite having to deal with a long line of customers. I was glad to have a number of items crossed off my shopping list. read more

I gave this place 3 stars because today I was shopping with my husband. He is on dialysis and noticed blood squirting from his arm (where the huge needle goes in) and onto the floor. Sometimes this happens with dialysis patients even though it's bandaged tightly. Two women, who were shopping separately, immediately asked if he was okay and if they could help. One lady went to grab tissue as my husband's holding his arm and I went to the front of the store to let the cashier know. Katie is her name and she didn't seem concerned. I cleaned up some of the blood with tissue but it was smeared on the floor. I placed boxes around it so no one would step in it. Thinking that someone was coming immediately, I went on shopping. About 20 minutes later, I went to check out and asked Katie (cashier) if someone had cleaned up to blood off the floor. Her reply: "Uh, I dunno." I went to check and the smeared blood was still there! I asked Katie to call a manager and waited. Less than a minute later, an employee walked right past Katie and said "I'll be right back." I asked Katie if that was the manager who just left and another checker, Emma, said it was. Katie didn't say anything and seemed irritated at me. So I told Emma the situation and she immediately went and cleaned it up. Heck, I would have cleaned it up myself if I had the proper cleaning solution. Turns out they used a regular cleaning solution right off their shelf. read more
