    Lazy manager

Came in for a few things One cashier and 20 people in line. The manager and another associate were tucking it up as people were in an unacceptably long line. The manager amd associate took care of a fellow employee's order prior to helping customers Kelly, who was all alone was gracious to all customers. She called for help but was left by herself. Shame on the manager and associate for not prioritizing customer service

Various items purchased but focused on bag fee, which was not asked if needed.

I have recently moved to the area. Being on a strict budget, the store is handy to use if one is willing to make the drive from Big Bear Cities. As one who is Deaf, it is difficult to communicate with staff in assisting with my shopping needs. There are a few employees that I have crossed paths that had no difficulty understanding who I am. As I had finished up my shopping experience, an employee was processing my items to be paid for and from my understanding, there is an additional fee for a bag. At the time, I was not asked if I had wanted a bag for my items, as I am aware of the additional fee. When I had arrived home, I noticed of the charge on my receipt (I have attached a copy of the receipt [with name blurred out for privacy purposes]).

Stopped by to pick up some snacks and candy while in town. A lot of their shelves were pretty bare and there was only 1 cashier which made checkout take a little while

This store was big and clean. Everyone wore masks and the cashier wiped down the belt between each customer. This was one of the better dollar trees I've been to.

This is one of my favorite places to shop when I go to Big Bear. Nice and clean. It does not look ghetto at all.

What a gem to find such a small thrift store, but Big Bear Valley Hummingbird project is not…read moresomething you see out of Big Bear Blvd., named as such since the signage outside is not easy to read. I am so glad that I dropped in, and honestly I could have been here for awhile. The minute you enter, there are tons of clothing, but when looking for specific items that are antiques (ish) then you are in for a treat. People might think the thrift store is not organized but honestly they all have the same look to me & the scent of old bookstores/garage smell. But when I am in the mood to look for old cast iron objects specially old soap dishes, or anything that appears retro, this place has them. And the man who was helping me was quite nice and lucky me 50% off as it was labor day special. And I liked another item, that I came back to purchase the Native American Headdress (war bonnet). I was lucky it was still there because it caught my attention, hesitant because it is definitely an honor to find it and my hands drew me to the item when I was purchasing a cast iron bird/fountain. Also awhile back I did come down a few years ago and a lady who worked there was giving us free books. Also showing off the items that I was happy with! I went to Doves and the Fun Stuff thrift store and could not find anything remotely close to what I found at Hummingbird. There was also Mountain Mod and that place was cool but only if you want to spend $25-maybe even $500+ for things that probably can be found in estate sales. Definitely checking out Hummingbird on my next trip!
