Honestly, just close this store down already. The employees clearly don't enjoy their jobs, so shutting it down might actually be doing them a favor. The shelves are rarely stocked, and if you ask for help, they act like you're asking them to pay your mortgage. I came in to get balloons and asked the employee standing nearby if they had a specific kind. She told me to wait a few minutes while she changed the helium tank. I said, "Okay, great," assuming she'd check afterward -- all she had to do was open a drawer. Instead, she left to get another tank, so I ended up checking myself just to avoid wasting time. By the time she returned, a line had formed and she started blowing up their prepaid balloons. I asked, "Are you really just going to leave me standing here without even checking on what I asked for?" Then the only other employee in the store yelled, "You have to pay for the balloons first." Which is clearly a made-up policy -- I just got balloons there the day before without prepaying. Poor customer service, bad communication, and no consistency in their policies. read more

Dollar tree or 99 ? 99 has some decent plant selections and of course they have fresh groceries there. For all my bargain shoppers out there this place generally has a great selection of odds and ends for all of your various needs. Today though, the store shelves were super bare and there was hardly anything in some departments. Everything looked a bit disorganized but when I inquired about it upon check out, Mylene, the friendly cashier, told me all the valentines stuff just got cleared out and also they had not had time to stock the rest of the shelves in the store. This store is usually always busy and I notice everyone gets in line at the same time most days! Dollar Tree is my reliable go to store to purchase greeting cards. I've saved so much money over the years. They even have some decent eight count pack of thank you and blank note cards. I prefer this location because they seem to have a better selection than some of the other Dollar Tree stores in the area. The store itself is amazing but the white bald manager is so extremely rude to customers and his own employees. While shopping today he yelled at one of his employees in front of customers when she asked him for change for her drawer. Then, a customer walked in behind me and asks if there was a restroom and he replied to her "sure but be careful" very rudely. And the customer replied "why do I need to be careful" and the manager said "actually I don't care, it's in the back". A moments later he came across the intercom yelling "Luis can you do a security check around the store, especially the bathrooms" and like 2 minutes later he again stated "Luis call Chino PD". Extremely unprofessional! Also, as I was leaving, I overheard a conversation he was having with an employee. She asked if she could go on her break because she had to use the restroom and he said "no you're not going on your break until you finish unboxing those items" she said well can i at least use the restroom and he told her "no, I don't care if you have to use the restroom, I need this done now" I cannot believe any establishment would ever hire this extremely rude, unprofessional, disgusting, disrespectful human being!! On a previous occasion, I was trying to purchase some balloons and I had taken 2 purple balloons from a group near the balloon station (no reserved label, nothing that stated they were for an order). I was in line to pay and the same bald white manager came rushing out of the office yelling at me asking "where I got the balloons and i told him and he said you can't buy those". But every single time I go in and if the young Hispanic girl with the long brown hair is working she never says hello.. She's probably been working at this location about a year or close to a year. But I get so annoyed everytime she rings me out. She never says hello or asks if I found everything ok? I have never had a problem with the managers because I never needed to talk to them. But the employees who work the registers are always nice and helpful. This store is larger than most stores I've been into and always have a good selection of products, whether it may be kitchen supplies, children's toys, candies, canned goods, etc. I visit this store almost at least once a week because they ALWAYS have new products and they fly off the shelf like crazy. So, my best advice, if you see something good, buy it. You can always return it if you change your mind. If you're buying anything edible, always check the expiration date! Just left the dollar tree on Central in Chino. Visit from time to time usually after visiting Harbor Freight. Know we are in challenging times, and personnel needs to take precautions. When she explained it he rolled his eyes and stomped off, and a customer had to point him where she was. I get we're in tough times right now but how rude of him!
