The girl with short green hair is unbelievably rude and weird I didn't even end up purchasing the items due to AWFUL customer service.

I was in need of new cookware, as my olld Caphalon frying pans needed to be replaced. Today I was able to buy an 8 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch frying pan with a lid, all for $115 (Green Pan)!! I was also looking for comfortable walking shoes that were somewhat water resistant and found a pair of lined Skechers slip-on shoes that were snug but not tight, very cozy, black, on clearance for $40. Perfect. Both of the staff at the checkout lanes in their respective departments were helpful and friendly. I think I even saw a manager on the floor, who bid me a good day, which was a nice touch. I kind of like the fact that the checkout counters are more centralized, one on each floor now, though it took getting used to. JCP feels more inviting, spacious, bright, and organized. Highly recommend!!

This wasn't a polite correction or a simple "please don't do that." She raised her voice and yelled at my daughter, despite already knowing that she is special needs. Apparently, basic patience and compassion are too much to ask for at this location. If an employee can't figure out how to speak appropriately to a child especially after being made aware that the child has special needs then maybe customer service isn't the right job. JCPenney should seriously reconsider who they have representing their store. We certainly won't be coming back to this location or any at all for this matter.

But the staff was super nice and on it with a busy store so they are the reason this review got an extra star.

The store was clean, organized, and actually easy to shop in, which is rare for Ross. The aisles weren't chaotic, the selection was solid, and it didn't have that overwhelming feeling you get at some other stores. Prices were great as always, and I found everything I needed without having to dig through piles of random items. I would absolutely come back based on the inside experience alone. The one thing that really threw me off was the checkout process. The cashier kept calling the next person in line even though the customer being helped hadn't fully cleared the area yet. You end up squeezing past someone who is still waiting on their receipt, and it creates this weird, awkward moment where nobody knows where to stand. It felt rushed and uncomfortable, and it's something they really need to fix because it makes the ending of the visit feel messy. The parking lot also gets a little sketch after sunset since the lighting isn't great, so I definitely prefer coming during the daytime. Overall, the store itself is good and I would shop here again, but the checkout flow and the nighttime parking vibe definitely need attention.

Extremely disappointing shopping and checkout experience…read more Some items in the store did not have price tags. I picked out a pair of Nike shoes and asked an employee about the price because there was no price tag on the shoes. She told me they were $49.99. I also noticed that another pair of the exact same shoes had a $49.99 price tag, so naturally I assumed that all the same shoes were the same price. However, when I got to the checkout, the cashier told me the shoes were $59.99. I even went back and brought her the exact same shoes with the $49.99 price tag to show her. She still insisted that my pair was $59.99. I asked her how the exact same shoes could have a $10 price difference and said that it didn't make sense. I also explained that if the price was actually $59.99, then I had wasted my time finding and bringing these shoes to the register based on the $49.99 price I was given. Her response was, "I'm the cashier. You're wasting my time too." I was honestly shocked by her attitude. I was simply asking about a price discrepancy and trying to understand why the same shoes were being charged differently. To make things worse, she also forgot to scan a keychain. I had to point out that there was still an item that hadn't been scanned. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, she accused me of being rude. I understand that working as a cashier can be stressful, but customers have every right to ask questions about pricing, especially when the store has inconsistent price information. There was absolutely no reason to speak to a customer in such a disrespectful manner. Very disappointing customer service. I hope management looks into what happened and provides better customer service training to the staff.

The aisles were absolutely stocked like, everything you could want, from the pharmacy to the Walmart food section, pretzels, Subway sandwiches, and a lottery vending machine. Plus, the home improvement section was huge, and the garden area was bustling with life. I actually liked this Walmart more than some others in the area especially the one in Baldwin Park or West Covina because it was so well-stocked and, dare I say, a bit cleaner. I gave it 4 stars because overall, the experience was great though, I do wish that their paper shopping bags had handles, because, come on, it's a bit of a struggle lugging them to the car. And while I was happy they accept tap payments, no Apple Pay so, you know, a little behind the times. Still, the cashier was super nice, and I grabbed everything I needed. Bonus shoutout to their greeting card section so many options, and it was beautifully stocked!
