The dollar store is now really the 1.25 store but that's no biggie! The prices are still amazing! I'm totally ok with a quarter more for this store to stay open! I mainly stop by for the holiday and party decor. Beware that if it's holiday stuff that your after you need to plan ahead! They release their items early like more stores and if you come the week of the holiday there will be very slim pickings! The birthday decorations are always on hand though! Streamers, signs, bags, table cloths, party hats, balloons, and more! Really anything you need to throw a birthday party they have it here! We always like to pick up some balloons, streamers and a sign to decorate for birthdays! With a little elbow grease and a couple dollars you can create such a beautiful spot to celebrate! read more

This is the second negative review I've left on Yelp, EVER. Saturday afternoon they had one poor cashier working while there was a line 12 people deep. She even had to fill up balloons while trying to get the customers through. I had to make a return and the cashier tried radioing the manager for almost 10 minutes without a response. During this time, I just stood at the end of the register while she checked people out (and kept radioing the manager). While waiting, I noticed two people outside cleaning windows and sweeping. I asked the cashier if that could be the manager. I went outside and sure enough the manger was out front with another employee who was sweeping. When she answered that she was the manger, I felt like I was inconveniencing her by asking for help. She asked me for my receipt and looked me up and down, then told me I couldn't make an exchange because she doesn't take returns from other dollar trees. Her whole demeanors was abrasive and short. She didn't acknowledge the cashier or apologize for not having a radio or checking in. FYI, I was trying to exchange one print of contact paper for a different one and purchase more of it. She didn't acknowledge the fact that I stood there, unable to do what I needed to do for 10 minutes because she didn't check on her store. I was looking for small containers perfect to keep my board game pieces organized, and a friend recommended Dollar Tree, and it was a great recommendation! I found two packs of them (one of 4 and the other of 10) in different sizes and they were just exactly what I was looking for and needed. Too bad I only found one each though, and I wish they had them more in stock. Still I was really happy to find them! I'll definitely go back to look for more of them in the near future! read more

I get it's the busy season but if you are a rude old man that dislikes life maybe don't be in this industry. The older gentleman that was ringing me up I assume was some kind of management because he was dressed nicer than the rest of the employees gave me so much attitude because I asked for a bag instead of putting everything in a gift bag I bought. I get this isn't a big deal, I just prefer a bag to put my stuff in, why does that warrant such attitude instead of just giving me the bag I asked for? The employee with the hijab always has an attitude I never have problems with any other worker there but she goes out of her way to be rude to customers. The positive everything is really cheap but they raised it to $1.25 instead of a dollar. The negative they're out of so many cleaning supplies water just everything on the shelves is out or very low and they have a lot of boxes in the aisles that are not put away with a lot of inventory seems like they're very low staffed only have two workers and there was a line all the way down to the end of the aisle. They probably should hire more workers to be able to help all the customer so you're not waiting 30 minutes online and have sufficient staff to be able to unload all the boxes and have all the products out on the floor for people to purchase. Still a 5 star experience here! This time Destiny helped me at the register and she was so patient and helpful. I had a few exchanges to do and she was able to help me with these very smoothly. I really like coming here to get party supplies and favors, and I've been so lucky to be able to exchange items that we end up not using, so it never goes to waste. Their inventory was a little low the last time I went, I'm guessing because of graduations and summer parties, but I was still able to find a lot of the items I needed for my daughter's 1st birthday party coming up. They are also so much neater and organized here than other Dollar Trees I've been to in the area. read more

honestly, a Dollar Tree is a Dollar Tree. setting the standard to that, it's hard to be disappointed. Let me tell you why this Dollar Tree deserves this five stars though. Despite being told that ApplePay isn't accepted here when in reality it is and the cashier who helped me was probably confused since she said my "ApplePay was actually discover" when i used ApplePay to pay with my discover card, this store still deserves 5 stars because of their hot cashier. By the name of Kavan/Kavah(?) idk lol i couldn't read the name tag. He's cute and tall and has a nice deep voice like wow. Found out there are some decent bargains at the Dollar Store that would be a few dollars more at a regular store. If I was on my own, I would find a lot of household items here and not overspend on simple kitchen items, cleaning and office supplies. Best thing I like to pick up are powdered flavors for my water bottles for $1 each. This Dollar Tree could use some more help to clean up their merch but it's still my go to place. read more

This is a great dollar tree for the simple fact that it is often stocked, and often clean. My favorite part though is a woman who typically works the cashier named Debbie. She is very kind, professional, and really cares about customer service. The store is very lucky to have her, I would expect her to be in a much more upscale store given her level of professionalism and customer service that I experienced. I complemented her, and she let me know that she actually enjoys working at dollar tree because of the customer service. We told Debbie, the cashier, that we didn't want to buy the white container that we used to put our stuff in. She said she could not undo the purchase because she already put it in. Seriously? Just one click to cancel or delete and she can't do it? So much for customer service. She even tried to "lecture" us about the carts that were "meant for shopping." This the worst Dollar Tree I've ever had the misfortune of going into. They have nothing in terms of food items. No refrigerator or frozen items. I have no idea how this dump stays in business. It's an embarrassing joke. The only positive is they have a decent selection of inexpensive greeting cards but that's about it. Compared to the Dollar Tree in Pleasant Hill, this store does not have much inventory of anything. The cashiers are nice but for whatever reason, you can almost always find yourself in a long line and they don't bother to bring out another cashier. As for merchandise, you are better off going to the 99 cent store down Clayton road. They had refrigerated and frozen item and a massive selection of food and almost anything else you can think of. One of the most unorganized and dirty businesses that I have ever been into. I am so disappointed with the dollar tree considering it is so close to my home but every time I come here I receive terrible service and have the hardest time trying to find whatever I am there for. It seems like the place is so messy and I don't think anyone ever cleans it. Today, I came to dollar tree to get a balloon for my Halloween costume and the lady that worked there tried to tell me that she couldn't blow up a balloon for me. I went into this store today by the sweetest cashier. However the manager their... her language to other employees and in front of customers was vulgar. I had my 4 year old with me and this woman was dropping 5 bombs left and right. A great place to pick up little things for parties and bbqs! It was a lot nicer when it first opened but now it's pretty messy. We stop by when we are looking for little things like color coordinating napkins/forks/spoons or giftwrapping necessities and basket/stocking stuffers. This is probably the best Dollar Tree store that I've been to. They by far have the biggest and BEST selection of party supplies, especially if you have a kid.
