This week with my parents was all about thrifting. This was our first stop. My mom found me a Lucky…read morebrand top that was on the 50% rack. I tried it on over my clothing as they don't have a changing room. The top was a bit too baggy on me and the sleeves were kind of short, that was how the sleeves were to be, but still too short for my liking. I looked through all the clothing and sadly didn't find anything that caught my attention. This was a downer as it was our first thrift shop in our week of shopping. I was starting to feel unlucky. Things did pick up over the week and I found lots of great finds at the other thrift stores in the area. Changing rooms- Sadly they don't have any and that kept me from picking out clothing to try on. I believe they have a return policy of some type. You probably just get store credit, that's how most places work, you don't actually get your money back. if you are a frequent shopper here that can work out for you. Since I'm from out of town taking the clothing home and trying it on and trying to return it doesn't really work for me. Bathrooms- I think at one time they allowed patrons to use their restroom, but now it's limited to just employees. Parking- They are part of a strip mall and they have a private parking lot with free parking. There were plenty of parking spaces when we arrived. Monday, July 13, 2026 around Noon. Offerings: Clothing, Shoes, purses, dishes, dog and cat supplies, furniture, suitcases, ect. Dog and Cat Supplies- They have a ton of different Halloween costumes for your furry friend. There are lots of shirts for your furry friend to wear. They have baby gates, crates, food dishes, toys, ect. This is a great place to shop at if you have a furry friend. I wish I knew about this place when my little girl was still around. So sad. My parents love this thrift store. They come here on a regular basis. My parents are volunteers at Joybound and get their employee discount. I on the other hand wasn't impressed. Unless i get a new furry friend I probably won't come back on my own.

There are both used and vintage items, which is great for sustainability, and there's even a repurposed newspaper machine outside where community members can access supplies for free! The price points are great, especially for the vintage items, and the owner is super friendly & helpful. Added bonus, you can take Amtrak to Martinez and the shop is less than a 5 minute walk, or the downtown Martinez area is very bicycle friendly too! There are great cafes, restaurants, & breweries so you can make a whole day of it if you live further away.

It's a miracle that they have dressing rooms especially if your main shopping trip consists of clothing. I love this thrift store if not for anything else. Selection. They have a good selection of walking shorts. I found a nice pair of them that fit perfect for my petite frame. I even tried them on and they were a match for the style I was looking for. They have colored tags that indicate the items that aren't on sale. It seems a bit backwards as usually the tag color that is on sale. The yellow and purple tags were not on sale. The shorts I found were on sale. Reg $8 and I got them for $4. What a deal. The other ones I was looking at the other thrift store was $14 and there was no dressing rooms so I didn't want to risk it. Overall it's a solid thrift store. They have books, kitchen ware, toys and puzzles, shoes, dishes, greeting cards, and my favorite clothing. Ambiance. It's ok. It's a thrift store, nothing special. It was a bit crowed today and it's a small shop so it doesn't take a lot of people for it to be crowed. Check out was a breeze. There wasn't anyone in line so it was quick and they gave me the 50% off discount without me having to remind them. I've been here once before on my parent's recommendation and I'll be back with them on the next visit. I don't know if they have a senior discount as there was no sign and I forgot to ask.

This store is a perfect GEM nestled in N unexpected place in Pleasant Hill. She has beautiful pieces and carries Dixie Bell chalk paint which I love and is difficult to find. The owner, Kait, is super helpful and within minutes of talking to her, you feel like she is a lifelong friend. She is easy to communicate with and it's a no pressure to buy situation. They also were able to bring in their own snacks and wine to have a little pre-painting wine and cheese. That's not all, the little shop that is attached is incredible! I bought some hand made soap that I just couldn't live without because of how yummy it smelled (my husband chuckled at me as I batted my eyelashes at him to purchase it for me). I also found the CUTEST soap holders. A little basket and one that looked like a old fashioned sink faucet. Super cute! Since I visited during the event, there were quite a few people in the shop, and a trunk show from Twice Sheared Sheep, so it was a really fun visit. I have since gone back a couple of times, and had a similar experience, with friendly people, help selecting yarn and colors, and a great shopping experience.
