I'm happy to see that there is a dollar store around. And now I don't have to drive to concord to get to one! The location is in a shopping center near chipotle, Starbucks and Verizon wireless. Parking is sometimes a hassle because the lot is very big but it's not too bad. The actual store is usually pretty organized! You can always find a manager or assistant manager on the floor and someone organizing or stocking up something. Haven't really gone when it's super busy but I haven't gone when it's super dead either. Some staff people aren't happy to be working there and some aren't. Some will say have a nice day and some won't. Just depends who you get. Never really cared for the politeness as I'm there for word searches and a few quick random things and I'm out! So great that a decent dollar store is finally in Martinez! Dollar Station up by Nob Hill just ain't cuttin it :) This store has a great advantage over the Dollar Tree near The Dome simply for being brand new - new store smell, very well organized and well maintained, and beautifully stocked shelves! Everything you expect from a well maintained Dollar Tree, and more name brands than I'm generally used to seeing. The main reason I give this store 5 stars, aside from cleanliness and great employee friendliness, is their $1 Blu-Ray section! Not only is a bin of $1 Blu-Rays full of movies I've actually heard of awesome, I found a movie that I loved in childhood that I had totally forgotten about in the bin. Blu-Ray AND a dollar! I'm in love! A great additional to the lexicon of dollar stores in this area, and it fits in great in Martinez - I'll be back! read more

One of the most clean and organized Dollar stores I've seen. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I can always find school supplies for my son and pretty decent art/craft supplies for my girls. Parking is not to bad. However there is a drive through Starbucks right next door so watch out for speed racers hopped up on caffeine. read more

This Dollar Tree is the worst- expect 10-15 people in line when you come here with 1 checker, while the other employees talk and joke in the back. One time I went up to Linda and asked if they could bring out more cashiers and she barked back at me "Nope! I'm on my break working right now!" All while she was stocking shelves but wouldn't help at the register. So frustrating! read more

Dollar Tree is the best based on TWO items alone: Sunglasses and reading glasses. Sure, they are not designer frames, brand names or status symbols, but when you lose a pair you're not out $80 and freaking out 'cuz your precious Ray-Bans are gone. You're on cloud 9 'cuz they were only a buck! Get to Dollar Tree now . . . buy 'em by the dozen. I love this place! They have such great seasonal items, things you would never expect to find at a dollar store! I always find great stuff for decorating my house & classroom. And this particular store has a Teacher's Corner that is always stocked with stuff I need. Definitely a teacher's must shopping store!! Plus, they've told me that if I can't find something to check for it online! I also love the crafting stuff they have there. I've found some real gems!! Large selection and cleaner store than most dollar tree stores. So glad Martinez is finally getting a new variety of stores to compete with the always over crowded Walmart up the road. This place is especially good for birthday party products and holiday items such as gift wrap, tissue paper and all the paper/plastic disposal goods needed for a gathering. read more

This is the nicest dollar store I've ever been in. It was well stocked, clean, had a great selection of items, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I had was not really the fault of the store, but of the strip mall it is located in, there is not enough parking for all of the stores there, there is a Starbucks right next door that is very busy. This makes it hard to find parking. I will definitely shop here again. read more

Today I was out grabbing some lunch and I thought I would grab something cold to drink out of this store. I'm not from around here so I wasn't sure where everything was located. After taking a quick glance I didn't see any refrigerators so I grabbed a warm gatorade and started making my way to check out. It's was busy and disorganized and the African American at the register was in the process of making lines. It was very crowded to the point where you couldn't see where the line was and people couldn't social distance. As I walked by the African American lady see says you need to go to the back of the line and I respond no problem I understand as I'm waiting for a path to be made so that I could go to the back of the line the lady yells at her coworker not to help me and that I would be the last person to be helped because I was trying to jump the line and then continues to talk about me in front of other customers. I felt disrespected and confused. Was she mad that I let a family walk ahead of me so that they could all stay together? Was I not moving fast enough for her? I sat the warm drink down and walked out. I could have caused a seen in front of everybody like she did but I showed her how she should act in front of customers read more

Terrible place it not very good place if you want quality the iteams are of the cheapest quality the store is in a terrible location the store always empty almost no cashier or employees you good news work is available not a high mantince or security the employees that are there dont have a clue what there doing and dont have much of a selection of items I wouldn't be going any were near it not worth the gas limited parking spot but not a problem the staff always everything a $1 but it a no on even checking it out waste of gas read more
