We were spending our Thanksgiving in Branson and decided to have our Thanksgiving diner at the Dolly Parton Stampede. There is an ample amount of parking available, but it was kind of tight because we arrived as the show before ours was letting out. The parking lot was crazy. Checking in was very easy. You pick up your tickets and check in at the desk and then they send you to take souvenir photos. You can skip the photo. If you plan on buying the photo, I would recommend waiting to you get home and get it directly from Magic Memories. They wanted to charge me $60 for my photos at the theater. I got the digital downloads for $30 online. If you had been to Medieval Times, Pirates Dinner Show, or anything similar, than you know the set up of this one. They put all the guest in a waiting area with drinks and music for pre-show activities. It is a party like atmosphere. I took advantage of some of the adult beverages from the bar. All of their drinks are served in a souvenir cup. Once they are ready to let you in the arena, a dinner bell is rang and then the real stampede begins. We had really good seats and did not do the VIP upgrade to get them. We choose to sit on the North side. We were at the Christmas show, so we were on Team North Pole. You can order booze and merchandise from your seat using a QR code. I found that buying one of the flags was a waste. The show as entertaining and very interactive. There is limited audience participation where they went on the area floor and participated in events. As I mentioned, the show was the Christmas version. So, the first half of the show had a Christmas theme to it with scenes about glow toys and a really cool nativity scene that has live animals and a dove that is trained to fly to the suspended angel. There was also some horse riding exhibitions. You will have a heavy scent of gas and horse. We then at dinner, which consisted of a Cornish hen, potato skin, soup, corn on the cob, and an apple turnover. They provide doggie bags for those that cannot finish their meals. My kids, who do not normally eat much, really liked their meal. The completion part of the show begins. The South won the competition during my diner. After the show the horse riders line the walls, where kids and other visitors can pet the horses and interact with the actors.You exit through the gift shop. I found the show entertaining enough. My littles were really into it. I would recommend checking this show out. It is good for all ages, has some decent chow and friendly staff. read more

This place is on every Branson guide out there and unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. We did the VIP experience and it was just OK. We arrived 90 minutes early, as they suggested and I think that is a good amount of time to get good seats for the pre-show musical act. There was a VIP section but it was further back from the stage and preferred to be closer to the act. Food was surprisingly good with the biscuit and soup my favorite of the night. Familiar with similar experiences, I did bring along my own thing of toum (Lebanese garlic sauce) for the chicken. It's a pro tip to spice up the food. Pulled pork and mashed potatoes were edible but looked unappetizing when served with ice cream scoopers. I thought it was funny that when I ordered wine, I was asked if I wanted to make it a double. Sure! Did find out that the Merlot is from Robert Mondavi - NV Private Selection - Central Coast fruit. I'm a wine snob and thought it was decent for the context. Did have a sip of the strawberry slushy which was good. Tried both the apple turnover and the chocolate/coconut cake - both good. Saw the Christmas version of the show which itself was a bit underwhelming. As someone else commented, Medieval Times is much more entertaining. read more

We spent a few days in Springfield and decided to go to Branson for an evening. I got tickets to Dolly Parton's Stampede and happened to catch the Holiday show. We had a great time! The show with the holiday theme was fantastic! It was a nice to usher in the holiday spirit. The dinner was tasty from the soup, to the biscuit, the roast chicken, etc...ending up with the Apple Turnover. Also, there is a quite a bit a food and filling! It was a fun show! The horse tricks, the pig race, the chicken race, etc, was entertaining. Skeeter was funny too! It was a nice way to spend the evening and would do it again! read more

Went to a Christmas show. Loved it. The food was good, server kept the drinks full. The chicken was a lot and I felt like I wasted so much. The veggie soup was the best thing I ate! I bought some in the gift shop afterwards. It was a little chaotic trying to find our seats. We were in section D and there was no signage and there were only 8 seats in section D. Show is structured like mid-evil times (spelling ). Pre-show, drinks, some show, soup, more show, dinner, more show (this is now the competition part of the show) and dessert. There are tons of animals and the riders are amazing kids will enjoy. The food consists of soup, a whole hen, and a choice of 2 deserts. The meal is basic but enjoyable. This is a great way to spend an evening with the family! The presentation is flawless, and the service is a 10+! The servers work their hearts out. Everything is brought out separately-they indicate your drinks by bending your ticket so they don't have to keep asking what you ordered. Refills are given before you can run out. First you get a bowl of delicious creamy vegetable soup. No spoons! Just drink it out of the bowl! You then get a yummy biscuit, a Cornish hen, half of a baked potato, and sweet corn. For dessert you get an apple turnover that is so flaky it melts! The Cornish hen was pretty dry-I didn't eat most of it. Everything else was good. Bring some salt with you and enjoy a great time. It is busy as you pull into the parking lot, so it might take a while to get to the back parking area. Once you parked, you walk by all the horse stalls and can check out the horses as you make your way to the entrance. Once inside, you go through security and grab your tickets. You have the option of a group photo before making your way to the gift shop, bar and waiting area. The bar lines can be long but move fair quickly. You do have to buy a souvenir cup for your drink, they are a bit pricey. Once they open the doors, it will be a bit to get to your seats. Once seated the service is quick and efficient. The show does start promptly on time. This is our 2nd visit to this location and it is a well oiled machine of efficiency. The wait staff and bartenders are all friendly and the show is fun. It was cool to see the holiday show, I liked all the Christmas music, decorations, ice skating and fun. We love all the horses and trick riding. I have been to many of Dolly's productions in TN and I am sorry to say this was not anywhere as good. It was a small venue and the show changed last year. The food, starting with cold soup was so disappointing, the one thing we love much. The biscuit was cold, no butter or jam or honey. I couldn't swallow it because it was so dry. The Cornish Hen, semi-warm, as was the entire meal. Best part was the pulled pork with sauce although cold. Dessert is our favorite, most times, but this time the Apple Turnover was ice cold. For the price the show and dinner was very expensive for 3 adults and 1 under 3. We like the one in TN better. I will say the servicers and photographers were wonderful. The evening moves very quickly and efficiently, starting with viewing the horses in their stables, some preshow singing, and the main event. Disappointed in the overall experience. Food came at you so fast and furious that it felt shoved to finish. Didn't like that at all for a meal experience. No kids meal option which was rough for our child's ticket we paid the same price as an adult but didn't eat anything. Not as much Dolly Parton and horsemanship as hoped for and honestly expected considering the venue. More storytelling which was nice but coupled with the hurry up and eat! Atmosphere was just too much to recommend or go to again. If I could recommend improvements it would be to space out the meal for heavens sake and offer kids options plus more than a couple of Dolly's songs for the whole experience. We have been several times between Branson and Pigeon Forge, and this visit like all in the past have been wonderful family activities. They accommodated our large group of 21 without a problem through their group rate coordinator. A show and a dinner that actually is GOOD, for a price that is quite reasonable. read more

I purchased our tickets by calling in so that my family and another family could sit together while in Branson. When we arrived to the show, I realized the tickets were for the pigeon forge! We were so worried that we wouldn't get in, but the manager worked some magic and then on top of that, gave us coupons to get a souvenir mug each. Such a good show! I would recommend that ya'll have a show MINUS the dinner. The 3 p.m. show would be a good time for that. The only reason I bring it up is that so many people throw food away (was just there on Saturday at 8 pm) - 3 young women didn't eat anything on their plates and it was just discarded with the rest of the food. I know you offer a take out bag, but they did not. Maybe if there was a show without food, there would be less waste. Better for the customer, better for the workers. I would also like to add, maybe think about enlarging the gift shop - it was hard to manuever after the show was over to get outside. For those with children - we had a very picky 6 year old boy (who said he didn't like it before we sat down)... he LOVED the show, and even ate all of the soup, corn on the cob and pulled port, some of the biscuit & hen. THIS WAS AWESOME!!! Start out with the low point- I think our sever was new. She was working but had quite a bit of help from nearby servers. The rest was seriously fantastic!! We had tons of food and the show was non stop entertainment! Our kids (13&10) couldn't stop talking about the show!! We did see the Christmas one and it's overtly traditional Christmas and we loved it. The MC is great! Funny and always kept things moving. The performers were very talented. Trick riding, acrobatics, comedy- Thai show had it all!! They have a condiments tray with sugar, salt, pepper, wet wipes. Entertaining dinner show with amazing horsemanship! The abundance of the meal throughout the show will leave you satisfied! It was also the most efficient way to serve a meal to so many people at once. Our server was attentive throughout the meal and the food tasted good which was a plus. :) It's also nice that they have a constant mist in the arena to keep the dust to a minimum. We come to Branson every few years and we always come to this dinner show, as it is my favorite. The food is great, the show is excellent and the service is stellar. We always have a blast! Tonight, our server, Judah, was on top of it! We got enough food to eat well tomorrow, also! Won't remove stars for it, but was super disappointed to see the pre-show is animatronics...very few people even watched it. Super energetic and fun show! We had a great time and the food was great, I would especially recommend the show to anybody with kids! It's not a great date night spot but is a good family or visiting folks night out. Standing around waiting to get into the show was a bit much, super crowded and a little chaotic! There are some tables with giant checkers games if you're lucky enough to get one, otherwise it's standing room only. Once you're seated, the show begins quickly and it's non-stop until the end! Horses, skits, contests, comedy, magic and more, it's got it all!! The staff is phenomenal! Very friendly and quick, they'll do anything they can to ensure you have a good time. The food was actually pretty darned good too for being mass produced and served! Oh man was I wrong about this but I am still glad I went. This show was entertaining and the food was pretty good. For the price $65 I think you get what you pay for. Loved the horses and the cowboys and cowgirls! This was the best part for me and my family who all agree wished there was more horses and less everything else. Throwing toilet seats and chasing chickens were not our idea of entertainment but it is what it is. Loved the friendly and hard working server I think was Amanda? We were the southside which I was really happy about because red is my favorite color. For the best experience get there early so you have time to explore. Next walk through the gift store and go get a drink , Because it sure is hot outside ! Luckily, when we got our tickets, we opted for souvenir boot Which comes with one nonalcoholic slushy, for $5 . Grab some fresh popcorn and take a seat for the first round of entertainment is right about to start. Three brother trio of some Bluegrass music . We sat in the perfect spot ! They had a stand right next to us . We were able to chitchat with them for a bit . Very talented Family . After about seven songs, the big arena opens . If you enjoy watching horses and their riders perform, this place is for you. I recommend getting a seat in the middle level. There's really not a bad seat in the house, but the middle level, you will be close to the action, but not close enough to be bothered by the dust. I am astounded by how organized this establishment is. It starts with the way the arena is arranged. It's easy to get a massive crowd to their seats quickly comfortably. There's ample room behind the chairs to move around with ease. That space allows servers to distribute food and beverages quickly. The menu was a whole small chicken, cream of vegetable soup, a biscuit, a slice of pork loin, corn on the cob, half a baked potato, and an apple turnover. They come out with huge pans and serve each dish one at a time. They're extremely organized in that way. The Apple turnover was delicious. We both ate our turnovers, biscuits, soup, and corn. The rest was extremely dry and difficult to eat with just a fork. I would have liked having a knife. We took a few bites of the chicken but it was too dry and tasteless to keep working at it with just a fork. If you are willing to use your hands to break the chicken apart, you can get to more moist meat. They passed out large wet clothes for that purpose. They also passed out doggie bags and wet clothes to everyone. We used the chicken for linguine pesto the next day and it was quite good. I enjoyed watching the children have fun. They encourage audience participation and children really enjoyed that. It certainly isn't a show where children have to sit and be quiet. The stampede part was the audience stomping. They had contests between the North Pole and South Pole to see which side could make the most noise. When the announcer shouted, "Stampede!" the audience started stomping. The horse performances were impressive, but my favorite acts were the dog and pig shows. They said their canine stars were rescue dogs. They looked happy doing their acts. If you have children or enjoy watching horses perform, This show is a must. Don't worry about parking, there's a huge parking lot in back. If you park in the back, you get to walk past the equine stars. read more

Excellent.... Arena is similar to that of the knights and king arthurs jousting dinner event, except it has multi animal races. You are geeted by security, an elderly man with a thick accent. Asking me if im packing a fire arm or a machete... a long knife...??? Lol TIP: Dont bring your guns, and knive here. Do bring a sweater...they keep the arena cold From pigs, to birds, buffallo, rescue dogs, humans and if course horses. Teams consisted of red for the North and Blue representing the south. Dinner was eaten by hands, genghis khan or Jabba the Hutt, no utensils on plastic plates, mason jars were used . NO WORRIES, rhey give you a hot , very wet towelette. no unsweetened tea, just southern sweet, diabetes inducing , teeth decaying tea, lemonade and coke...any type of coke.....youll get this if your from the south...hahaha Loved it very Americana, supoorts God, country and first responsders. I do have one knock...as with any type of marketing, they take your picture as a commemorative souviner as you enter the arena. They give you a qr code to preview your picture u just took 4 mins ago...What i dont like is im trying to watch the show and homegirl is trying to sell my 8x10 picture in the dark and blocking my view...
