The front door was especially tricky because it was installed too low by someone else. He did some grinding on the high spots and used leveling compound on other areas and even managed to make things work around the door. The hardwood floors he installed are gorgeous and you would never know what a disaster we had started with. He is on the job himself much of the time supervising his employee and they both have positive attitudes and really care about craftsmanship. He charges a fair price and at the end he found that the square footage was a little less than either of us had measured so the bill was a little less. This level of honesty is really appreciated.

They're WAY overpriced. We worked with them to try to get the project started for three weeks then gave up. They wanted 100% of our money before the project even began. We ended up going through Whole Wood in San Carlos for our hardwood and we worked with Rolando Lopez at Pure Wood Flooring to complete the project. They were amazing! No joke, we got more done in one day with them than three weeks with the Floor Store. Stay far away from the Floor Store unless you want overpriced material and slow, ineffective communication.

They did a great job. During/after the installation, they always asked about if there was anything we liked/did not like, and whether or not we wanted them to change anything. They were super easy to work with and I would recommend to anyone looking at flooring options. From the last installation (which already went through a final inspection with myself and Andro), I found some other things I wanted changed/corrected. He and his team had 0 issue addressing things I wanted changed (even if a normal home owner/other may not care). Because we had extra wood (and stair noses), I asked his team if they could do our garage closet. While it's over the top (and unnecessary), they said no problem, and gave me such an extremely good deal I couldn't believe it! I really appreciate his willingness to work with my demands and warranty his product/installation. We'll see what other projects we have in the future for Andro, and hope to have him help us. As a note, I've had other contractors who have helped me on projects that just constantly stress me out. Being in the house, and watching them perform things give me anxiety! I did my research and ended up strongly preferring higher-end laminate over LVP and hybrid options. Andro provided a competitive quote, and was very clear and straightforward to work with. I personally have a strong preference for people who are NOT trying to smooth-talk me OR tell me how they are giving a special price 'just for me'. So the fact that Andro never for a second tried to BS me on anything, is a massive plus. There was no ambiguity about what is included and what is not. The flooring brand he works with is good quality and had a lot of variety. We took our sweet time in deciding. I would definitely recommend doing one's own research in type of flooring you want, quality and price range you are good with, and getting comfortable with what you decide. We looked at options from home depot, lowes, floor & decor, as well as a couple of local stores -- and pretty much covered the spectrum of quality and price. We did end up going with the brand Andro partners with. They have a showroom/office nearby and made it easy to take as many samples as we wanted. We tried a variety of them at home, in different lights, saw how things coordinated with other existing flooring, etc. It was a bit embarrassing when I went back there to return the pile of samples I had borrowed, but hey, we were being thorough! The installation was quick and efficient, and the flooring fit and finish looks super-professional! The installer who works for Andro has 10+ years of experience and did a good job distributing patterns and planning the cut-lengths well across the bedroom and walk-in closet. He also fixed a minor issue that was discovered in a corner of the room after the carpet was removed. By the way, we did not have a leveling problem in the floor, so no additional sub-floor leveling was needed. There was a bit of a hiccup as the guy made an error when caulking the re-attached baseboards. But Andro made things right without any hesitation. Not only was the caulking cleaned and re-done but Andro went beyond that and had his guy do some additional work too. It is very important to see how someone reacts when something goes wrong, and he checked an important box! Andro stands out in the crowd for his quality of work, good communication, no bs or upsell, and focus on making sure the customer is happy!

The team provided a rug mat, moved furniture and found the correct position for the rug. I shopped at about four other rug stores in Menlo Park and Palo Alto and no one came near this level of service. In addition, there's no way an online rug store could provide any of this excellent customer service. The Oriental Carpet is the only store for superb customer service and stunning rugs!

Shuan claimed that the they can also do the staining on my stairs to match the main floor color, well that was a disaster because the color was too dark and dreary. Shuan also claimed by adding more white the gray color would lighter so I opted not to continue with the staining of my stairs. The bottom line is DG flooring did a great job on my flooring installation but do not allow them to do any staining of wood whatsoever. My advice is to hire an expert painting and staining contractor

Floors were pre-finished bamboo installed by the previous owner - badly. They had nail holes, gaps, etc.. Thankfully, they were solid wood. The Elephant Floors team was able to sand them and fill the holes and gaps, and they looked awesome after refinishing! They also replaced all the trim afterwards with white painted pine (per request.) Completely happy - price was competitive, quality great. Will totally use them again in the future!
