The staff, Fernando, Miguel, and various others, were all a lot of fun and extremely funny. They went over safety rules and how to use our life jackets, snorkels, fins, etc. they showed us hand signals to use to make sure we were okay, or if we needed help. After snorkeling, we got back on the catamaran, and a few of us went to sit on the roof and ride over to stingray beach. The view was amazing. Once we got to the stingray beach area, we put our belongings away and got some water shoes, then went to see the sting rays. They told us about Caribbean sting rays also, and how they feel more coarse like sand compared to the regular sting rays we're used to seeing. After that we took photos. Then we were able to feed them. Make sure you're careful out there. The rocks are uneven and you can lose balance easily if you're not careful. Once we were finished there, we snorkeled in a different area that had sting rays, fish, and sharks. There were two female sharks, and one male shark. We swam around the area for a little while before getting out and going to eat. They had chicken tacos and chips and guac and ceviche. I ended up getting our digital photos also. After that, we took the boat back to port. And they definitely partied it up back in. It was so much fun and I would definitely do it again.

8/5/26 My family…read moreand I had a wonderful day trip to xcaret. We got the tour plus plan with the photo package. It included one buffet meal in that day. We took as many photos where all the camera eyes were which made the photo package super worth while. They don't look like much but the resolution and clarity is amazing. Especially when it captures you in the natural rivers. I originally planned to do two rivers but dang, after spending 1 hour floating in one, we were done for the day. One tip for your is bring some shampoo and body wash to use after the rivers. I didn't think to bring this and could only rinse off in the outdoor showers. Felt a tad bit icky all day. Lots of walking in our water shoes but enjoyed the butterfly sanctuary, jaguars, waterfalls and parrots. Lots of photo opportunities. Beautiful park. I now see why they charge you an arm And a leg. Gift shop was great. We spent about an hour in there and got some nice things. The night time show was two hours with a 10min intermission. I loved learning about the Mexican culture. All the dancing and music was beautiful. We had a lovely day here

All of the employees here were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the park itself is very nice! Our manatee swim was such an incredible experience! We had a party of 9, so we lucked out and had only us in the group . Our girl who was with us was so kind, patient and very knowledgeable. The manatee was seriously such an amazing experience I'd definitely recommend for everyone to try! While I'm sure photographing kids and even adults during this experience isn't easy... the photographer did an AMAZING job with the pictures, and I love that they have an app where you can download all of the pictures right there when you buy them! The lunch buffet was GREAT, they had the most amazing potato tacos and they really did have a great variety of options so even the pickiest of eaters can find something there! After our the lunch we went and swam in the beautiful beach area where the sand was amazing and so were the bar tenders. My oldest got stung by a jellyfish while we were there and the bartender was so friendly and got us some vinegar to put on it (who knew that helped? Not me!) and a couple mariachi gentlemen came over and sang to her to make her feel better . One of the men from the shop right by there helped me locate Benadryl from the pharmaceria in the park. Overall I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about this place and if you're traveling to Cozumel this is a great experience and park to consider. They're friendly, welcoming and the park is beautiful!

Purchased through a cruise line. The tour guide met us at the port, separated us into groups, and…read moresent us to the park in separate Taxis. Once we arrived, the guide gave us a brief rundown on our schedule for the day, then showed us to the lockers to put everything away. We were told we could not take sunglasses or anything else out to the dolphin encounter. They really don't want you to take anything that could have a camera in it to take your own photos. We were given life jackets, and before going out to the pier, a photographer asked if we were interested in photos. We chose to get them with the dolphin and the Manatee. They had a security guard checking wristbands and for cameras before you go on the pier. Our group was taken down in the water to stand on a small ledge that was maybe 18" wide, about 3' below the surface of the water. This was in the ocean with constant waves coming in, pushing us. There was a green fence behind the ledge, and you could tell by the way it was bent all over that people had been hanging onto it for years to stay on the ledge. It was just a normal wire chain link fence with lots of sharp edges, so you had to be careful where you held on. I believe the purpose of the fence in the water was intended to catch the seaweed floating in the water. With as much money as this place makes, you think they would be able to afford an actual rail for people to hold onto. They brought out the dolphin, and the whole encounter felt very rushed. We were given a few seconds each to pet him as he went down the line. On the next pass, we got to rub his head, those who chose to buy photos got a little more time for the photographer to get pictures. We took turns rubbing his belly, and then those who were comfortable swimming off the ledge got to swim and splash with the dolphin. Many stayed on the ledge and skipped this due to the waves. I had to pull a couple of people back in myself who had trouble getting back to the ledge. The last activity was putting on a mask and listening to the dolphin squeak underwater, only 4 people felt comfortable swimming in the waves to do that. We got out of the dolphin area and got into a similar enclosure with the Manatee, which was also rushed. The only people who got to spend time with the Manatee were those who opted for photos prior to getting in. The changing rooms were nice in the locker area. We went in to look at our photos and were told to choose our own photos from the group. I was wearing a similar sun shirt as the guy next to me, and I somehow chose several of his photos while selecting from the thumbnail photos. The person assisting us became upset, claiming I was trying to get pictures for the other people. The price for the Dolphin photos was $140, we were given the option of choosing 1 photo with the Manatee for $40 or all of them for $60. We ended up paying $200 for all photos, and they printed 2 of our choice. To get your digital photos, you have to download their app and get the photos while connected to their WiFi. They took so long processing our order and then showing us how to get their app to get the photos that we missed the only Sea Lion show. We walked around the rest of the park and found the Snuba counter. We would have put our swimsuits back on to do that, but there was no one at the counter and no signs saying they were closed for the day. We saw signs for massage, but when we asked, we were led to an area behind a bar, nowhere near the signs. That seemed a little sketchy, so we walked away. When I looked at a map later, it showed the massage area was near the lagoon, not where we had been taken. We had lunch at the included buffet, don't recall what it was. There was a very nice server going around taking drink orders and bringing prompt refills. After lunch, we walked around in the gardens and the Mayan exhibit until it was time to go. To get back to the ship, we were split into separate Taxis again. We got back to the port on time, and we had plenty of time left before we had to be back on the ship.

My then fiancé (now husband) and I spent the entire day here and was able to finish all the activities (some more than once). The buffet is really good and you can come and go as you please. It's extensive and has a variety of cuisines but my favorite is definitely drinking the refreshing agua frescas. Book your tickets in advance! They sell out. And come early! Even if you have a ticket, you'll have to wait in line to check in and you would wanna beat the crowd for at least the first activity. There are stands with traffic lights at certain areas in Xplor that show you the wait times and line congestion-super helpful! Everybody is required to wear a helmet they provide for safety since a majority is walking under the caves. You are also required to have water shoes. You can find good ones online before your trip or you can buy more expensive ones at their gift shop. There are two routes for swimming-short and long. We did both and we were so glad we tried the long route because you can actually see bats! I've seen mini bats before but it was my first time seeing them so close! And I was swimming underneath them! Keep in mind, the water can get cold so be sure to wear some good wetsuits. There was really long line for the new slide, the toboganxote. DO NOT skip this and trust me, even though waiting outside in the heat is pretty painful, the water slide at the end is worth it! You might share the tube with strangers. My husband and I shared it with two others. You cannot record with a loose device. They will not allow you. You would want to grab on to the handles because you might fall. If you do record, you'll need a GoPro attachment on your helmet or something. The slide is such a thrill! I wish we did it more than once but sadly, the wait time truly was very long. This is a fun tourist attraction for thrill-seekers!

We dropped in the cool water and began walking through the underground waterway, with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites surrounding us. (Quite refreshing, from the hot and humid summer heat of the jungle surroundings). Later in the evening we climbed the top of the large water slide. I was not ready for the twists and turns, along with the stomach to the mouth unexpected downward plunging sections. At the end of the ride, I was both exhilarated and exhausted! One of the park employees, Issac, who is now my hero, noticed how fatigued I was and went out of his way to help me out. Leading me to a nearby hammock, where I spent a few hours getting my equilibrium back under control. At the end of the night, Issac unexpectedly returned and presented me with a few complimentary gifts, a beautiful embroidered tote bag and a stone night light with the Heart emblem with the Xplor logo on the front. It truly touched my "corazon". Shout out to Issac!! From the old guy on vacation from Texas. I'll always remember you and will add this to one of stories I tell my friends and family.

Our guide Marcos (we requested since we had him on our 1st tour) is always friendly, outgoing, helpful and full of knowledge. We love how personalized this tour was, it was only me and my beautiful wife, along with Marcos and Don Phil. We stared the day with Don Phil, a Mayan, who performed a cleansing ritual to protect us on our travels. Though I couldn't understand the Mayan language I could feel the message and positive energy. We not only asked for protection in our travels but he renewed our vows as we were celebrating 18 years of marriage. Super cool and thankful for the honoring of native traditions and including us in blessings. Exploring amazing cavern cenotes in a closed system with stalagmites and stalactites everywhere, with varying sizes and types is a spectacular experience. Marcos is able to share so much detailed information and history, incorporating a focus on preservation and respect of the natural treasures. We toured 3 different cenotes, got amazing photos, and ended the day with a killer, authentic, home cooked meal (chicken en mole and beef chile relleno). I would not hesitate returning as these guys have always been my number one recommendation, since our 1st time with them in 2021.

Since there were no other guests, we did more & they made sure I had a GREAT time! Lots of laughs & great camel discussions with Josef! For those who are apprehensive about the camel ride, don't be. You get a helmet. They take extra care with the camels. Basically, there is a team of 3 guys leading & walking along with them. The ride is leisurely and nice beneath the palm trees along the beach. It was windy so no mosquitos. So relaxing! Included with the camel ride is a beach day pass and a buffet and open bar! I will be back!

Though I'm an advanced open water diver with approximately 20 dives, I felt a refresher would be in order since my last dive was approximately five years ago. One of my buddies had not dove in a couple of decades. My other buddy had some dive experience, but had never been certified. Our instructor and Dive Master Alejandro was very personable and pleasant, yet serious about the safety of all the divers, not only in the outdoor classroom environment, but also in the boat, and then in the water. I'd like to add, that he is a very good and skilled instructor. Though I brought my own regulator and BCD, the crew prepared my equipment, as well as everybody else's provided equipment. The dives well, and afterwards Alejandro completed several items in my dive log. I take the safety in diving very seriously, and I would definitely come back to this crew. As far as some of the reviews on the provided meals, we had some choices, including some fresh hot pizza, which we took advantage of. The service also facilitated our transportation back to our resort, which was made super easy. I would certainly recommend this experience .

Scuba Club Cozumel is conveniently located on a more isolated stretch of road, about a 15min walk…read morefrom San Miquel de Cozumel. My son and I did a 7 nights / 5 day dive package and had a fantastic time! The resort is fitting for those whose first priority is diving. The resort and grounds are a little older, but very quaint with stucco buildings, arches, tile and passages. Our room was on the 4th floor at the end with a beautiful ocean view, a balcony and chairs. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with drying rods outside and the tile flooring is easy to keep clean from sand and moisture. A central dining area serves a buffet breakfast each morning with eggs, pancakes, French toast, fruit and varying Mexican specialties before the morning dives. Lunches are also included, featuring a number of Mexican and American bar/grill food, and can be ordered off the menu - or a lunch special can be chosen at breakfast time. Food was simply prepared but very tasty and satisfying, with decent portions for hungry divers. A dessert is also included. Dinners can be ordered through the hotel for room pickup in the evening, but we preferred to walk to town each night. There are dozens of great taquerias and seafood restaurants within a 20min walk, and the farther inland you walk, the less touristy and more reasonably priced the food becomes. Alternatively, there are a few huge supermarkets within 10min where one can whip up a meal of fresh (less than $0.10) bolillo rolls, cold cuts and cheeses. We rented BCDs and regs the entire time from the spartan but practical onsite dive shop, with Al 80 tanks and weights included in our dive package. Good Scubapro equipment, but basic without integrated weights. I upgraded to a 100 tank to keep up with my son at additional cost. 2 morning dives are included per day, with added dives (we did a fantastic night dive) also available at additional cost. The boats arrive each morning, and divers are expected to be ready to board. Larger groups are assigned to larger boats. The two of us were assigned to a smaller boat with between 2 and 6 other people each day, with one and the same divemaster throughout. Tony was very thorough and helpful, providing a detailed rundown and instructions for each site prior to diving; it was like a private tour each day. Boat crew does a nice job setting up your gear and assisting you on board from the water. We were all about the same level and experience and the dives were absolutely spectacular! I've read some negative comments about the equipment and supervision - IMO you need to have a reasonable amount of dive experience here and always be self-sufficient. We were doing 50-60ft fast drift dives on day one and days 2&3 70-90ft drives at spots such as Columbia Pinnacles. Our equipment worked flawlessly, but we carry spare o-rings, asked for spare weights in advance, have and know our own dive computers, etc., none of that will be provided on the boats if needed. Be prepared also for bad weather and reef closure days - we had one and were able to shift our dive to the following day, but that will not always be the case. The staff was on standby until the reef opened with cheers and we were able to get our 5th day in before we left. Dive lockers and dunk tanks are very convenient and nearer the water, though a few drops of chlorine/cleaner in the tanks would have helped keep our dive suits/gear smelling fresher; things don't have real time to dry. Staff and service throughout was very professional and thorough. Waiters and dive shop personnel a bit intense at first, but folks warm up over time and bend over backwards to assist you and ensure your safety and comfort. Saw quite a few rude guests and witnessed what the staff has to put up with, until they see you aren't an ass. The front office called a rental car for us on our down day. We received it right in front of the resort and had a great day driving around the island; there is much to see and do. Scuba Club Cozumel exceeded our expectations for a dive focused, basic but clean and comfortable resort with excellent service and a great location. We will definitely be returning!

The AC and shower were great, which are big deals to me. Also, being able to dive off the back of the resort was very nice. And the hammocks were my favorite place to lounge and hang out with the other divers in the afternoon. My 1 star review has ONLY to do with the dive shop. We rented equipment. Between my husband and I, we went through 5 regulators in 3 days of diving. Apparently doing basic maintenance on the equipment is not a top priority. One regulator popped a hose and luckily we were close enough to turn around to get me another. Another the gauges had air pouring out of them. On two of them, the depth gauge didn't work. The biggest issue for me was the air gauge was off. Like 400 psi off! I RAN OUT OF AIR DURING MY SAFETY STOP!! I brought it up to the dive shop when I went to get another one and he was like "oh, ok." No, OMG I am so sorry that happened. No, we will take care of this right away. Nothing but "oh, ok". They also had serious issues with their air tank O-rings. I would say we had to replace about half of the o-rings in the tanks before we could dive with them. Not sure how this is such an issue but I've done 20+ other dives at different places and have only had this problem once before. So, as a resort, I loved this place and am actually pretty sad I won't be going back.
