On the first, finally really cold winter night, my husband and I wound up at Dolsot House as some shopping bought us to the area. Not wanting to drive all the way to Edison or Philly, we found ourselves here based on bookmarking the place a long time ago when we had cousins living in the area. There was a line....out the door, the place was packed. The wait thankfully wasn't terribly long, as we arrived when a 2 top was finishing up. Took about 15-20 minutes and we were seated and the lovely plethora of banchan arrived as we were sitting down. The banchan was some of the better ones I've had. Our meal arrived quickly even though the place was packed. The KFC was good, I've had better - the garlic flavor was not as strong as I would have liked or have had before. But they were good to the last bone and it's only a small observation rather than a complaint. My husband and I shared kalbi and dwaeji bulgogi - make sure to order lettuce. The kalbi could have been marinated longer for our taste and it was unevenly cooked. Some pieces were more well done than others. The dwaeji bulgogi was really good, spicy, slighly sweet, garlicy, just delicious. Service was good, despite it being super busy. It helps if you speak Korean, in my case, but don't be afraid if you don't - english is perfectly fine. We will be back when in the area! read more

The best Korean food you'll find in Cherry Hill. I've eaten here countless times throughout my childhood and into my adulthood and it will also be my favorite Dolsot. Even after moving to New York, I still believe this place has one of the best Dolsots. I am also a big fan of their dumpling soup and also their tofu stew. Mostly anything you get here will be amazing. The sides here are fun, and they'll always give you more if you ask! In recent years this place has gotten so crowded. I came for lunch, and I waited an hour for my food. However, I still love this place and will always return. read more

It's a little crowded inside especially with the worries of a pandemic but it's generally very nice and the staff is usually quite attentive. One of my favorite Korean restaurants to go to. After leaving NYC it was hard to find delicious / authentic Korean food. Came across dolsot house on yelp. Decided to try it out. Their Korean fried chicken in garlic soy flavor is to die for !!!! The chicken is super super crunchy and the sauce is sticky and sweet garlic deliciousness. Their tteokbokki and japchae never fails go disappoint ! Galbi is really good here as well. They have so many variety of banchans and it's free refills ! Service here is okay not great. Drove out to Cherry Hill from Philly to get more Korean food since Philadelphia doesn't have many decent places. I love that this place has great prices, service and food! Just going to preface this with Dolsot House was one of my favorite places to go eat a nice meal with friends. Keyword here is was. Arrived around 6:30 when it was jam packed expected to wait , no problem. We were seated around 6:40 and immediately order our food. We didn't get our food until 7:45 a whole hour later. I get through two bites of food look down and what do I see ... a piece of hair .. on my Chicken Dolsot. Mind you my hair is fiery orange so in no way could this curly piece of black hair be mine. I told a waitress and she quickly spirited my food away without conversing with my about the problem. I then had to wait another twenty minutes for my food. I hadn't eaten all day , there is hair in my food , and at this point it's coming up on two hours after me originally ordering. The bring me the new order, I ask one waiter for a spoon he never brings it. At this point my appetite is gone. Gives me a box , I have no spoon to lift it into the box with and at this point I'm extremely aggravated. Nothing was done to offset the hair fiasco and it really dampened which was supposed to be a night out with my friend before my birthday. The customer service was truly , truly lacking. Always a fan of this restaurant since it first open years ago. However, recently the food quality had gone down hill. Last time when we were here, we had to wait almost 1 hr before the food came. Seems like the number of staffs are not enough to accommodate the number of customers. Ordered my go to which is the soondubu, bulgogi bibimbap and seafood pancake. Soondubu doesnt have enough soup in jt. The bulgogi bowl was wet and the pancake was really doughy. Cant finish everything. We just left. When they're good, they're the best. Often extremely slow, inattentive when they have more than 4 tables in. They're trying to figure things out with delivery because that's been spotty. However, I took a friend of mine here for the first time the other day and this place honestly deserves a 1 maybe 2 stars. It is sometimes a vey pleasant surprise to find a culinary gem hidden in a nondescript strip mall in a nondescript town. This is the case with Dolsot House in Cherry Hills, PA. I stumbled on to this restaurant while traveling to watch a Philadelphia Eagles game. And I feel blessed for having done so. The key to this restaurant is home-style cooking. Virtually all of the dishes that this restaurant delivers taste like homemade dishes served by a Korean mother who cooks really well and cares about the ingredients. No dishes are too salty or too sweet. You can ask for the level of hot spice that is right for you. And everything tastes wonderful. The Korean chicken wings are better than any I have tasted in Manhattan or Queens (not greasy and just sweet enough to be great). The LA galbi is the best I had since a family friend in Minnesota cooked it for me when I was 15 years old. The naengmyun is better than most served in Manhattan. Stew dishes are clean tasting, non-greasy and seasoned just right. To me, this place reminds of the culinary home experience that I wish I had every day of my childhood. read more

We had reservations which I think helped because this place is very busy. The service is very quick as they are looking to get you in and out very quickly because it is a smaller dinning area but the food was amazing! We ordered rice bowls, wings and the "Hoagie" and it was all great. Wings did not disappoint but we all thought the rice bowl was the best thing on the table. Probably the best take out I've had recently. Fast service. Fried chicken is a must; spicy is the way to go. Pork dumplings and shumai were a hit with the kids. The Korean pancake put every scallion pancake to shame. It was delightful. Shrimp tempura was just ok. The spicy pork was tangy and spicy and sweet. And last but not least, the short ribs were perfect. If you are tired of the same old take out go get some Dolsot. read more

I've been to this place 3 times since moving to the area a few years ago. Quality/portions of the food are generous and service has been great each time. The complimentary banchan with the dolsot bibimbap is so much food, that I leave stuffed every time. Knowing how much food they give you, I ordered the pork dumplings (which I've had before at the restaurant) and the fried chicken wings as to-go. They were good when I had them later, but probably would've been amazing had I eaten them fresh from the kitchen. read more

This is a nice casual Korean place, they have a good amount of vegetarian options. The quality of the food is pretty good. We got the tofu steak which is just fried tofu (unseasoned) paired with a dressing, it was okay but will probably go with dumplings next time. The bibimbap was very good, a little bland straight out of the kitchen but there's a sauce provided that helps a lot. At the end of the meal they provide those little yogurt drinks for free. It feels a little crowded in here but i've only ever been here once. I've been craving the chicken bulgogi box ever since.

The galbi was burnt. Criminal lack of side dishes, or banchan. Banchan is not an appetizer. It is meant to accompany the main courses to add to the palate. The rice was overcooked, and the spicy pork that came on the cast iron was cold. The soondooboo soup was decent, but it was almost entirely devoid of the beef that was supposed to come to boot. The wings were decent, at least. The K-pop was just plain obnoxious. Servers just seemed despondent and did the bare minimum. Never coming back here. Take your money to Eden Korean down the street (not a sponsorship, they simply do a better job). read more

This was my first time here and it was pretty crowded when I got there. I love Korean food so I figured I'd give this place a shot. The service seemed pretty on point up until I ordered. The food although tasty and well cooked, took over 45 minutes to get to me. This was 45 minutes after they took my order. I didn't order anything crazy just the standard dolsot which they were known for. I gave them 2 stars bc the food was good but the service is severely lacking. I wasn't even acknowledged for my patience waiting for what seemed forever, nor compensated. Not sure if this is the norm at this resto, if it is I won't be returning. read more

This place is amazing. I had read the other reviews and it definitely lived up to the hype. We got honey sesame wings, scallion pancakes, dumplings and a small japchae. The wings were top 3 I've ever had, scallion pancakes were the best I've ever had. Hands down, no comparison. They also give 2 small plates of kimchi, as well as a small plate of macaroni salad. Enjoyed this Korean south jersey gem and the service was terrific. Dumplings were homemade and crispy. The spicy pork was great but the bulgoki was just okay. It lacked the grill flavor which would have scored this spot 5 stars. The soup that came with the lunch specials were delicious and will warm you up on the inside on a cold day. Crack the raw egg in the soup and stir it around and it'll thicken the soup nicely. The little dishes that come after you order were just ok and nothing to write home about. read more

A great spot for korean food - the dolsots/hot stone bowls are something that you really need to dine-in for so you can get them while they're hot! We also got the tteokbokki as an app and they were HUGE and so good, these could probably be a meal on their own for some people. Service was nice and while we did have a bit of a wait for the food it was mainly because the place was packed that they were so busy, but the wait was worth it! This place is as authentic as Korean food gets in South Jersey. I've ordered take-out from Dolsot House a couple of times, but I have only dined in a handful of times. Recently, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in on a Sunday evening around 6PM, we opened the restaurant door to find a full-house. Service took awhile since there were only a few servers. But finally we got our waters, placed our order, and received our "banchan" (the small dishes they bring to your table). Now it was time for the waiting game.. We waited, the table next to us waited, the table next to them waited, the people coming in to pick up their take-out orders waited.. It seemed like no one was receiving food.. but finally, after 45 minutes, the food started to roll out (literally, they put the food on a cart and roll it to your table). The soon-dubu (soft tofu) soup was boiling hot and our Kalbi beef was sizzling. Rest assured, the food was AMAZING. I highly recommend trying the soft-tofu soup & Kalbi meat combo, at $21 that's a steal for two great Korean dishes. Yes, their wings are going to amaze you if you have never had Korean fried-chicken wings before. They even sold out on this evening disappointing the tables around us. If you're looking to try something new, or maybe curious to find a good Korean restaurant -- definitely check out Dolsot House. As a Korean, I consider myself to have a pretty high standard for Korean food. I always take my non-Korean friends here and they were not disappointed. We had the spice level of the duk bok ki at 3, soon du bu at level 5, and spicy chicken at 2 and personally I don't think the 5 is that spicy and my friends wished they upped the spice level. The food here tasted authentically Korean and reminds me of the food I eat at home. I don't believe the chicken wings made it into the photo but it is a must try- it was voted best wings in South Jersey! read more
