When you're craving traditional Korean food, especially the jajangmyeon or black noodles, must always add on the sundubu-jjigae tofu soup extra spicy with a side of galbi short ribs plus all the banchan sides

Very mediocre jajangmyeon and korean pancake. The menu is pretty limited as well. The owner barely speaks any English so it was a bit hard to communicate.

My brother & his fiance found this place and introduced it to me, and it has become my favorite spot when I'm craving Korean food. This restaurant is located in New Jersey. The restaurant has a classic and homey look. Our server was friendly, and all the food didn't take long to come out. As K-drama fans, I have been wanting to try Cold Noodle, so when I saw they have it here, I definitely had to try it, and I love it. Their Gan Chajangmyun is also something you have to try if you visit this place. I've tried Chajangmyun in many places, and the Chajangmyun here is my favorite. Definitely, I will come back

Picture it: It's 98° outside and it's humid. The hot wind is making you feel like you're in a hot tub with clothes on. You just want a bowl of cold beef broth with noodles. This is your place. The place is totally unassuming. It's next to a nail shop in a tiny plaza. The sign looks like it's seen better days but that's why I knew I had made it. It was about 130 in the afternoon, and I hadn't eaten lunch. Two of my coworkers were with me, one of which, spoke Korean. We came in and a really pleasant older woman sat us. She eventually came over and my coworker ordered something in Korean that was apparently written on the wall on a star but not in the menu, and we picked something out of the menu. My shu mai were good, nothing too special but it's ok. My cold beef noodle was so delicate and delicious. They brought out the spicy mustard that usually accompanies this dish and I couldn't have been any happier. The dish felt like "my mom" had made it. Not MY mom because she can't cook Korean, but somebody's mom who was standing in for mine. The dish was nicely chilled and plated. I ate the entire thing. The prices were appropriate and we will be returning regularly I feel. This place deserves the love repaid, that it puts out on plates of food.

This is a hidden gem here. The older lady here is the proprietor of the restaurant, along with her helper runs this place. The proprietor appears to work both as a server, cleaner, and a chef Although granted that this place looks like it's falling apart inside and out the food is not bad at all! We were here when we were at cherry hill for medical appointment and this was a not bad detour at all. Highly recommend.

Came here on a Saturday night, sweet owner and delicious food. Got the tofu soup and Yukgaejang, reasonable price. Can't wait to come back!

Leaving another review for this place now that I've been here a couple of times and understand the "nature" of this place As far as I know it's a one woman run shop, she takes orders, she cooks and she brings it out and rings you up. With that in mind please be patient and kind. I've been here a couple times now and my favorite dishes are: - kimchi pancake: quantity & quality match the price. Crispy and lots of flavor - jjajangmyun: this is the best one in the south jersey region. I've tried it all and this is the best I can get as a local - naengmyun: this is all I've been craving while pregnant and it's decent here. Comparable to seorabol, Kim's and h mart in Philly. The one in dolsot is terrible so this one has been my go to in south jersey - squid over rice: my husband loves this dish. He said it could def be spicier but the flavors are still tasty Overall, there's not much selection of Korean food in south jersey besides this place and dolsot and both have their strengths but this place is still decent and even tho it may be a bit slow it's worth it in my opinion.

Keep in mind this is a real mom and pop restaurant. So the service will be slow and engagement limited. Being able to speak Korean is a plus but not a must. The day I went one older lady was working the entire dining area. She did rather well. The place was 'clean' but a little cluttered. I found the food very close to homemade. The kimchi was flavorful as well as the 3 side dishes. I started with my favorite kimchi jjigae which was really good but lacked the pieces of pork i'm accustom to, then I moved to spicy pork bulgogi good not great. As a whole I enjoyed everything but I find it may be better to make your order to go. For a family member I ordered kimchi jjigae to go it was full of meat and more delicious sides than dining in. The restaurant is out of the way for me so there will be no special trips to dine here. There are so many great Korean restaurants in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.

This is such a hidden gem in South Jersey. Your typical mom&pop local dining place. The best place to get your favorite korean chinese dishes without having to drive over to Philly or NYC. They cook the food fresh when ordered, so be patient! This is my go-to place when I want tangsuyuk (sweet and sour fried pork) and jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles). Always hits the craving & just absolutely delicious. They also sell fresh kimchi for you to take home!

I usually go to a different local Korean restaurant and usually get the pork bulgogi dolsot bowl and seafood pancake. However, I wanted to try Jjang Ga Nae AKA Korean Restaurant. I ordered takeout for Pork Bulgogi and Haemool Pajeon. The Pork Bulgogi wasn't a dish I was expecting and thinking it over, they did have the Dolsot Bibim Bap dish but maybe they don't have the same dish I was looking for, with pork. Your takeout also includes banchan (side dishes). The Pork Bulgogi tasted okay overall, but not something I would want again. The Haemool Pajeon (seafood pancake) was good. On Yelp, it says they are closed on Wednesdays, but on their physical menu it says they are closed on Mondays. I tried to confirm with the woman, but I didn't understand what she said and I'm not sure if she understood me. She does speak limited English. There is also a 4% customer service charge when paying with a credit card. It is located in a small plaza with a small parking lot. 3/5.

I ordered my meal ahead of time through DoorDash, and it turned out to be an easy and quick pickup with the food being hot and fresh when I arrived. The wings are by far the best Korean fried chicken I've had, with every piece packed with juicy meat. This is exactly what you expect when ordering this dish, and the honey sesame sauce did not disappoint one bit. The wings were perfectly coated, and there was still a pool of sauce for dipping at the bottom of the container. Next time I will definitely turn up the heat and try one of their spicier sauce options to experience that flavor profile. The nicely fried mandoo pork dumplings were full of a delicious filling mixture that paired perfectly with the soy vinegar dipping sauce. The dumplings had a crispy exterior that gave way to a flavorful, well-seasoned interior. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that I didn't discover Dolsot House sooner.

Arrived to a quiet, low key establishment, a bit eerie as we were the only ones there and light were still off, but were welcomed, none the less. Once everything lit up, the food was slowly being brought out and the choices for lunch were limited. No hot items at the sides and the sauces available were interesting, interestingly enough to concoct something on my own. Drink fridge was well stocked, but the dessert freezer was lacking in selection, Haagen Dazs was only available. Play area was the only buff/flex for us, as our busy toddler needed to roam free. I should have opted for a closer seating to the play area so we could take turns watching and eating/cooking :) but it worked out, like I mentioned, it was low key and we were rushed. Regarding food, they were helpful and provided service for items that were not readily available on the hot sides area, salt and pepper shrimp... YES PLEASE! Other than that, similar to KBBQ style, but not the same sauces, so be wary of that, I didn't mind, but wanted to share that. Veggies are always a win where there's pumpkin/squash and eggplant ^_^

The beef stir fry was a perfect meal, as far as I am concerned, containing my fave veggies (onions, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage). The flavor was spot on! My husband really enjoyed the bulgogi bibimbap; while I liked it too it wasn't one of my favorites and the rice wasn't crispy when we were served, like it usually is. Everything was delicious, from the apps to the dishes, and definitely very healthy portions! Service was pretty good as well, with attentive staff despite there not being a whole lot of them. Fried chicken bites were a pretty big hit, and the pork buns were good as well - crispier than usual, but still really good. Toppoki was nice too, and have to say that calling it rice gnocchi is pretty smart to make it easier to understand outside the Asian POV. Kimchi paella was essentially kimchi fried rice, but tasty and filling, and the scrape off parts at the bottom, that's rice gold right there. I don't always eat rice, but when I do, I prefer slightly burnt at the bottom of a stone pot. Second visit, I went with fire chicken, which is tasty and has some kick.
