Pizza is ok! I got the 3 toppings with pepperoni, sausage and onions. Overall the toppings were good but the crust sucks. I would probably not come back for the pizza but for other items! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is nice and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They open late at 4pm. Parking can be a pain just like anywhere else on 2nd street. Pizza Rating: 7.0\10

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Domenico's restaurant located at 5339 E. 2nd St. in Belmont Shores in Long Beach is a romantic 60s nostalgic restaurant that holds a lot of charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When you walk in your greeted by friendly and genuinely happy employees that escort you to your table and it feels like you're swept away in a Hollywood movie set. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, this is the type of place you want to take family close friends or that special someone you want to impress.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was impeccable the general manager, our server in the hostess, were just the cherry on top. The food is delicious especially the table bread. We couldn't get enough of it. We ordered the margarita pizza and we kept talking about how amazing it taste. We also ordered the antipasto salad, and I have to say it's probably the best I've ever had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is filled with Italian Fragrance of fresh herbs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is filled with laughter and kind people and a great vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We are definitely gonna make this part of our regular rotation. For an amazing memorable time with absolutely delicious food with amazing atmosphere and a great vibe, give Domenico's restaurant in Belmont Shores a try. Domenico's restaurant gets my 5 star yelp review end my personal recommendation! Bon appétit and enjoy!

Eggplant Parmigiana- my favorite

Okay, I'm probably the only person in the county who hasn't tried Domenico's. Tonight that has been rectified! What a great staff! Shoutout to Alex and the two Kyles. You laughed at my jokes and provided terrific, over-the-top service. Now the breakdown: Tasty bread basket with a delicious dipping sauce. I ate two. Hubbie was amazed. Eggplant Parm- one of my favorites when I go out for Italian food. Lovely, thin slices of tender eggplant over a generous bed of spaghetti. Enough to enjoy and enough for lunch tomorrow. Very good! Hubbie ordered the portobello stuffed ravioli in a creamy marinara sauce. I stabbed one quickly before he could jump in. He loves mushrooms. He loved it as did I. And he's not a pasta guy (or rice for that matter). I was surprised he put such a dent in the dish. Terramasu (sorry for the spelling) for dessert! So smooth! I took most of it home I was so full after such a great dinner. It's after 11pm now and I couldn't sleep without finishing it off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Domenico's has been in Belmont Shores for decades and the atmosphere is quaint, traditional decor with private booths.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now that I've FINALLY tried this Long Beach staple, I'm planning on going back with family and friends. Great job!

Let me just tell you about this place, first time here, didn't know what to expect since a lot of Italian places praise themselves into making their own pasta or recipes and at the end of the day they are ok.... Now this restaurant ...truly knows what they are doing!!! We ordered the chicken basil cream pasta and OMG I have never tried something that delicious! I like basil but not so much, my husband wanted to try it and our server also told us it is delicious, so we went for it and thank goodness we did!!! YUMMY TO MY TUMMY!!! Not heavy, perfect blend, tasty beyond words, perfect size too for 1 person and we shared it since we also were ordering another dish and it was great. Second, we ordered a margarita pizza so we can try the dough and ingredients..we added black olives and another successful dish!!! Yummy again!!! Fresh ingredients! Perfect dough! Not overly done with tomato sauce and it was so delicious! Then the manager came to our table to check on us and to see if everything was good, what a nice gentleman! We told him everything was delicious and perfect. We thank him for checking on us and he was very pleasant to talk to. This is the kind of restaurant we will support over and over again. To make our evening more perfect we ordered the tiramisu, just because we wanted to try something they made and they recommended that dessert ....another OMG! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and the manager told us it was his own dad recipe ...I was like what??!!! Wow!!! Even better!!! You should have seen my face when I tried the first bite!! WOW!!! To me, Coming from the owner of the restaurant which I'm guessing is about 80 years old or maybe more made it even more special because they've been there since forever, like over 70 years! From 1954!!! the manager was so kind to us. That tiramisu is the best one I have tried in many years! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was great too, almost like a little villa inside of a restaurant. Many tables but comfortable and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back for sure with friends and family, congratulations to the owner and entire staff for being so kind from the host that took us to our table, to the server to the manager and the chef! Whoever is making those dishes in the back THANK YOU! you have a really good hand! Thank you for the wonderful evening! We left super happy and full! Until next time

Bread of what's left of it!!

Domenico's absolutely delivered! I ordered the lasagna, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The sausage and ground beef were perfectly seasoned, and the lasagna was loaded with rich, gooey cheese. What impressed me most was that I could actually taste the herbs through the cheese, which made every bite even better. And the bread? Let's just say it was so good it might make you want to run around the block and come back for more. Warm, buttery, and packed with herbs, it was impossible to stop eating. The manager/owner has such a delightful and comforting attitude that makes you feel welcomed the moment you walk in. There is a level of elegance and hospitality here that is hard to find. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience enjoyable. Domenico's has earned a customer for life. I honestly don't plan on stopping until I've tried everything on the menu!

Domenico's was a splendid experience. I came here with my brothers to try out the pasta and it was great! First off, the service is amazing! They are very attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, the place is cute and the vibes are fitting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food options are also plentiful and delicious. Truly such a gem, definitely would come back.

From the moment you walk in the service is top notch! Fast, friendly and so on point! Our waitress offered some suggestions The decor transports you to Italy, it's romantic, a bit nostalgic. It's the oldest restaurant in Long Beach! They make their own pepperoni and gring it by hand for their pizza. It's divine! Their meatballs are giant! And the spumoni ice cream cake...I died and went to heaven! It's street parking but it was a beautiful night! Bathrooms are tidy!

Wife & I finally dined here for dinner last Friday (02.06.26). Everything from the time we walked in & up to when we left was absolutely amazing. Enjoyed everything about our visit. Shout out to Kyle & our server Samantha. She was very helpful, attentive & just such a delight! This place offers great classic Italian dishes, great wine & amazing service. Definitely one for the books & definitely worth referring to others to check out.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Long Beach, and our go-to for birthday and anniversary celebrations. The service is so friendly and charming, the ambiance is lovely and romantic, and the food is exquisite. The chicken basil cream is my favorite, but their sausage pasta is also very good. And the complimentary bread!!! The best I've ever had. We always ask for some included with our leftovers and they kindly oblige. I'm excited every time we have plans to go to Domenico's.

Eggplant Parm

Ordered via Uber Eats. The Eggplant Parm was ok. Kind of undercooked and the cheese was rubbery. The garlic bread was awful. Dry, hard, and no flavor. Wish I would have spent my money elsewhere

As someone who cooks Italian food at home too much, and as someone who never keeps less than four cans of san marzano tomatoes in my kitchen at any time, it's rare that an Italian restaurant blows me away anymore. I can think of two restaurants in the last three years that have actually made me moan. Domenico's is one of them. I've been here several times, and I haven't been disappointed yet. I don't expect to ever be disappointed to be honest. Everything here is spot on, from their pizzas and pastas, to the focaccia they give. I'd inject their balsamic sauce into my veins if I could. One tiny suggestion for their focaccia would be to make them just a tad bit less dense, and crispier. But I really don't care. Lasagna? Fire. Chicken marsala? FIRE. Everything is fire. The atmosphere is absolutely stunningly romantic. It's a perfect spot for dates, celebrations, or to just unwind. The staff are wonderful and attentive. Tip them well. The world doesn't crave the simpler things in life anymore. Come to Domenico's and they'll teach you a lesson in enjoying hearty, well-made food even if your life is in a state of flux. Because at the end of the day, all you really need is a plate of pasta and a good wine to go with it to make all of your troubles disappear.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for a spot with authentic vibes and great food, this is it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Nickolle was an absolute gem, answering all my parents' questions, and the owner Kyle made us feel like regulars on our first visit. You have to try the ground pepperoni pizza--it's so good! Kyle also shared some of the rich history of the place with us, which made the night even more special. Highly recommend!

There's…read morealmost always an event or gathering happening out in their parking area, which gives it a really fun, lively vibe. What I really appreciate is that sometimes it's even kid-friendly, which makes it a great option if you're not just going out solo or with friends. I've been coming around since back when it was Iguana Kelly's, and it's been cool to see how the place has evolved while still keeping that local, neighborhood feel. The location is super easy to find, right next to a donut shop and a mechanic, and across the street you've got a 7-Eleven, Subway, and a few other small spots. Plus, Tommy's Burgers and an Arco are right nearby, so everything you might need is within reach. I tried both the cucumber mixed drink and the mango mixed drink, both were really good, but I personally preferred the cucumber one. It's less sweet and way more refreshing, especially if you're not into overly sugary drinks. We also had a BBQ chicken pizza that they cook in a fire oven (I think it's called a wood-fired pizza), and it was really good, definitely worth trying if you go. Service was good During the outdoor event, they had things set up really well, including a sign that read "21 and over beyond this point only," which helped keep things organized. They also had jumpers outside for the little ones to enjoy, along with tables and chairs so everyone could hang out comfortably. Parking can be a bit tight in their lot, but there's always street parking if you take a minute to read the signs. Overall, it's a great hangout spot with a welcoming atmosphere and something happening more often than not. Definitely worth checking out.

Unfortunately we found a fruit fly frozen into our ice, which I figure can happen at busy places like this. Many indoor spots to chill bar-side, seated at a table, or lounging on a couch as well as a nice shaded outdoor space. Enough screens for everyone at any angle to enjoy the game. Though we had to re-locate from the side room due to maintenance services going on that were a bit dusty and loud. All things considered, I'd come back to give it another try because it seems like a really solid spot otherwise, and we may have caught it on an off day.

It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

First impression, why did we need reservations.... Since we didn't know the hidden entrance. Well, it's a cool concept once we entered. There's a dress code so be advised. What I found out was the entrance of the speakeasy was through a phone booth that next to the pool table of Roxanne's bar. Once reservations is made, you'll received an email with a password to enter. Enter phone booth and to connect to the inside and they'll open the door for you. We had the first reservations I believe they opened at 7pm. We were the first group to arrive. As it was my first time, we had ordered bar food and were waiting for it inside the main bar. So half an hour was used from our time limit. The speakeasy, dark and moody but perfect for the place. Special crafted cocktails by the bartenders which were great. They also have food as well, found out later. We did try the meat pie, which it was just ok. Basically an empanadas, the pickle veggies accompanied it was my favorite. It was good but nothing major to rave about. The drinks were quite nice and tasty. What they offered on the menu did have a load of good choices. Tables scattered throughout as well as bar seating. There's a piano which maybe used for live music. Overall, the moody speakeasy vibe was great. Friendly staff and bartender made some great drinks. What we had to snack on, the meat pie was just ok. They're very strict with the time limits. Once it's reached they'll let you know.
