I want to start by saying that Mario is wonderful!! My group was lucky to have him as our server last night. We were celebrating two 27th birthdays, and he made it really special for us! His service was above and beyond. The food was really delicious. We all got the lemon pepper penne pasta and all added grilled chicken. It was flavorful and filling. This restaurant is in the Fairmont Breakers hotel, which is a really pretty hotel to take photos in. This hotel also has cute bars including a rooftop bar if you're looking to continue your night.

Walked into Nettuno not expecting much and left genuinely impressed. we ordered steak, beef tartare, fresh oysters, a few pastas to share, and cocktails, and it turned into one of those meals where everyone keeps reaching back for "just one more bite. The steak was cooked how we asked with a good sear and seasoning, and the broccolini was actually crisp and well-seasoned instead of a throwaway side. The beef tartare was nicely seasoned and balanced, and the oysters tasted fresh and bright, not muddy or fishy. The pastas were the stars: served hot, generously sauced, and all tasted different the orange-y one was rich and almost creamy without being heavy, and the darker green ones had a lot of flavor and texture in each bite. Cocktails were balanced (not sugary) and even the espresso at the end felt thought out. Service let us take our time but we never had to chase anyone for water, extra utensils, or another round, which just made the whole late-night vibe even better.

Friendly and attentive staff. In a 1920 well restored hotel lobby restaurant, very welcoming and cozy space inspire of the scale. Good flat white, delicious Lobster Benedict and Tuscan Benedict. Eggs were a tad overdone a e not runny. But the flavors were excellent. The kitchen might have been overwhelm since this was on NYE and the wait for a table was extensive, the kitchen extended breakfast hours well past the 11 cur off time. Can't wait to being friends for brunch.

My wife and I had a very nice lunch at Nettuno on xmas day. We had cocktails at the bar first, shared a burrata appetizer, and then I had the eggplant parmigiana and my wife had the mushroom gnocchi. We both loved our entrees, and for dessert we shared a lemon tart that was refreshing and rich. Nettuno is a good Italian restaurant at the Fairmont Breakers Hotel. If you're staying there or in the downtown area, I'd definitely recommend it.

What a beautiful, historic piece of Long Beach! I'm originally from LB but had never been to the Breakers Hotel. So excited to get to stay there and try out the bars and restaurants. We visited Nettuno on Sunday at noon for brunch. I totally forgot to make a reservation so we ended up waiting about 20 minutes. They do serve full brunch at the bar so we were offered that option instead of waiting for the main restaurant area. Gorgeous and comfy. Its an open concept type restaurant where they use plants/trees to divide off the lobby lounge area. We really enjoyed the art, the lighting, the architecture, all of it. Our server was excellent, always checked on us and let us know the status of our order. We got the greek yogurt with berries, the bacon, and the brunch burger with fries. Also had a Michelada, which was so tasty! Food was good, smaller portions than I am used to seeing but delicious and fairly priced. The service and setting are the stars here at Nettuno.

We came in as a family on a Saturday for brunch to celebrate our 8 yrs wedding anniversary. We wanted to see the newly remodeled hotel after hearing lovely things about it. Unfortunately, felt it was missed by the staff all around. While polite, our server took a while to greet us. Took some time to ask for plasticware for our little ones. I was a little disappointed that they didn't acknowledge our celebration, being that it was the only thing we had planned since we have littles. I will say that the lemon ricotta pancakes were really good; kale Ceasar salad portion was small for $18 (plus $ 14 for the grilled chicken, slightly dry). My husband did enjoy the brunch burger at least. I was hoping for option on the regular lunch menu aside from the Saturday & Sunday Brunch menu, but they don't offer that. Only the weekend brunch menu is available.

This place has nice ambiance/ vibes (I loved the decor and menu). The food was decent but nothing note worthy. The service was also weird. For some reason our waiter came to our table every 5 minutes, not to check on us, but to try to scoot us out. He only did this to our table. He also expected us to tip right there at the table. Overall, the service was enough to make me not want to come back. It's sad because it was otherwise cute.

3.5 Stars This is a hotel lobby restaurant with a pretty atmosphere and although they charge the prices of a standalone fine restaurant, I found the food and experience average. We ordered the focaccia and prosciutto to start, and then I had the tagliatelle bolognese - all decent, but nothing to write home about. Although we were one of the few diners during lunchtime, service was slow, and we waited quite a long time for our food to arrive.

While taking a stroll to find a new place for dinner, we decided to stop in at the Fairmont Breakers Long Beach and go over our options while we had a couple cocktails. We haven't been back since their renovation and WOW! They did a beautiful job! We were warmly greeted by the valet staff and made our way to the bar in the lobby. The bar had 4 patrons and ample seating. We made ourselves comfortable at one of the tables with a luxurious couch and swivel chair. After a few French 75's and Old Fashioneds, we decided to stay for dinner at Nettuno, which happened to be across from the bar. Dallas was our server. She was so charming and personable. She had excellent recommendations which we took her up on. Spuntini Mortadella - $10 Marinated Olives - $8 Secondi Prime Creekstone Ribeye (18 Oz) - $130 Branzino all'Acqua Pazza - $38 After dinner, I was craving an Affogato and Dallas said she can have one made. That made my night! It was the perfect end to the most delicious dinner that we've had in a long time! Thank you, Dallas for a memorable dinner. We will undoubtedly be back!

It's my Birthday week, and my good friend took me here yesterday for my Brunch. You know how I love music, this place had a fantastic station on. We had the deviled eggs to begin with and a Mimosa to begin..., then followed it up with my traditional order of Eggs Benedict with bacon, it was tasty and served on focaccia - special shout out for the Breakfast potatoes!! TASTE-T! My friend had the California Scramble, and we are both foodies and loved every morsel of our dishes. Chris was our server, and he was a breath of fresh air and handled that entire area like an attentive PRO, never missing a beat. The $10.00 Valet (for four hours) was enough for us to gush over, too LOL Do yourself a favor and have a Lemon Drop Martini, you will thank me later (wink, wink). Respectfully Reviewed.

Food was absolutely amazing!! One of the best restaurants my husband and I have been to in a while. From our Aperol spritz and old fashion, to our squid ink pasta, so delicious. Our favorite part of dining was our server, Chris! He was so knowledgeable of the history of the Fairmont hotel and of the drinks. We came back for breakfast the next day. The restaurant setting is exquisite and ambience was very welcoming. Highly recommend and ask for Chris!!

Great food at a beautiful hotel! Usually hotel restaurants aren't a destination, but Nettuno definitely is! I'd come here for brunch again in a minute! We shared 3 items and each of them was delicious! We started with the smoked salmon on toast, which sounds simple but had tons of flavor due to the chive mascarpone spread, capers, dill, and thinly sliced purple onions. Then we had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were topped with orange marmalade and creme fraiche which was soooo good. We finished with the eggs benedict which had a great hollandaise sauce and perfectly poached high quality eggs. Def check this place out!

If you're looking to dine at the Breakers Hotel and want to break the bank slightly less than dining at the Sky Room, Nettuno is the way to go. Although it's situated in the lobby, the decor is gorgeous and it still feels like a fancy night out. Staff is professional and attentive. The food is really the star here. The menu is Italian and you can tell that all of the dishes are carefully crafted. The pasta is fresh and the sauces are developed. Everything from the fish to the pasta carbonara were perfectly executed.

This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out!

Visually, the burger was impressive and looked exactly like something you'd want to dig into. However, the salt level was overwhelming to the point where I genuinely could not finish it. What made matters worse was that our server was not attentive with refilling our waters, and when you're working through an extremely salty dish, hydration isn't optional. I left the meal feeling dehydrated and honestly a little frustrated. The bright spot of the visit was the Brussels sprouts, which were genuinely well done and showed some real kitchen care. If I were to return, I'd probably stick to the vegetable sides. For a restaurant with a 4 PM lull and minimal table traffic, there's no excuse for that level of inattentiveness. A simple water refill and a quick check in would have saved the experience. As it stands, the combination of an over salted entrée and absent service made for a tough sell on the value. If you're in the area craving a burger, you might want to save your money and head down the street to Louis Burger instead. Ellie's may shine in other areas; I've heard good things about the pasta, but this particular visit missed the mark.

I thought it would be a run-of-the-mill local, Thai place with food that is more homestyle and tastes slightly above average to hit the Thai food fix. Boy, was I wrong! First and foremost, they have their own parking lot, so YAY! It's starting to sound like my standards are low, but they aren't. OMG- their restroom is clean! JK. From the outside, it looked nice enough, but I was impressed when we entered. It had a comfy, modern, clean, and beachy elegance to it (the lights and that chandelier) without it being stuffy or looking disjointed in terms of interior decor. Servers were very polite and accommodating. I let my friend order since she was the guest. She ordered the garlic shrimp noodles and scampi shrimp to share, and the Thai tea drink with the ice cream bar. I ordered 3 cocktails (Jalapeno + tamarind, Lychee, and Thai tea martini) and they were all good (not overly sweet and weak sauce, but balanced, tasty, and had the right amount of buzz). We had a light lunch since we had AYCE hot pot later that evening (Mikiya - yes I'm a good host). The garlic noodles exceeded my expectations - shrimp were huge, seasoned well, and just cooked through, the noodles were broad, float, tender, and had a slight chewiness to it. The scampi shrimp were huge, tasty, succulent, and cooked perfectly (not surprised since the shrimp with the garlic noodles were so good). NOTHING WAS OVERCOOKED OR MADE ME GO.... "MEH...." and I've been to many Thai restaurants even the highly stylized kitschy ones like Farmhouse Thai in SF. The waiters were very attentive. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. Perfect service, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food will definitely have me returning very soon! Parking is free for 2 hours at the nearby garage on 3rd and is a very short walk. The closer garage on Broadway is not free. You can make restaurant reservations on their website but it wasn't needed when we went.

I've never had a restaurant refuse to honor a confirmed reservation. This review isn't about a…read morerestaurant making an honest mistake (things happen, I get it). It's about how management handled it. We made a reservation three days in advance to watch the Mexico World Cup match. We arrived 10 min early to our reservation in anticipation of the crowds. We received confirmation by both email and text, but when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation and "nothing they could do." Despite showing proof of our confirmed reservation, they refused to honor it and told us there were no tables available. Seconds later, another group walked up and asked to join the waitlist, and he gladly added them. I then asked why we couldn't be added--considering we had a confirmed reservation--and only then did he put us on the list. When a restaurant makes a mistake, the bare minimum is trying to make it right. We should have been given priority on the waitlist. Instead, after nearly two hours of waiting, we were still ninth in line even though the wait time for our table size showed 0 minutes. We left without ever being seated. Thankfully before the match began, we walked over to Broken Spirits (5 min walk away) where they seated us within 15 minutes and even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate the game. The difference in hospitality was incredible. This wasn't my first disappointing experience here, either. On a previous visit, I waited outside to be seated for so long that I eventually gave up and seated myself at the bar. To make matters worse, the food and drinks don't justify the price. Cocktails are around $20, filled with ice, and underwhelming. As a customer, I left Ordinarie feeling dismissed and disrespected. Between the poor service, overpriced menu, and management's complete lack of accountability, I won't be returning. If you're in the DTLB area, I would recommend better drinks/better service at Broken Spirits or Midnight Oil :)
