I am pet-obsessed. I admit it. I cry at the idea of my Cairn Terrier "Suzy" being ill. So when my…read morelil' darlin' Suzy needed an extreme surgery, I needed a surgeon that could go above and beyond... I had been blessed to meet Dr. Tomas Infernuso - one of the top veterinary surgeons! Dr. Infernuso has a wonderful reputation as a highly skilled and talented surgeon. You can immediately tell he has a genuine passion for his profession and prides himself in making sure the owners are well informed and prepared for the surgery. I cannot thank his team enough for saving Suzy's life. Suzy had a tumor that was growing so fast, it was taking over all the space in her little body. Dr. Infernuso, who was so kind and straightforward, gave me all the info I needed in a very honest way to make hard decisions. Suzy is 10 years old, but otherwise healthy. The surgery was going to be costly and risky but given Suzy's happy demeanor and otherwise health, the Dr. decided to take a chance on Suzy. Dr. Infernuso was more than fair with cost and fees. He is not about breaking banks, he is about saving lives... Dr Infernuso pulled a huge mass out of Suzy. The removal off this mass also included removing a damaged ureter and kidney along with reconstructing her colon. This Dr. is so gifted at what he does. Amazing. I just cannot thank Dr. Infernuso enough. The care Suzy received was absolutely top notch. Suzy was hospitalized for three days being taken care of so skillfully after surgery by the Dr. and Nurse. They both texted and called me often to update me about Suzy's condition. They had walked me through the after care process as well. I will recommend Dr. Infernuso a zillion times over, I will forever be grateful for the extra time he took to keep my sweet baby alive.I am looking at her now playing. She is happy. That means everything to me. Thank you so much, Dr. Infernuso!

We've brought several generations of our dogs, who are important members of our family, to him for both routine & urgent care. He & his staff are smart, sensitive & extremely competent. They're always willing to accommodate special appt needs wherever possible. For instance, today we had an urgent situation with one of our Siberian Huskies. They were at their Patchogue Surgi-Center, which is not our usual office but yet his staff was quick to accommodate us. I wrote this review today to both thank Dr Kolbert and to address the several poor reviews seen on Yelp. They baffle both my family and me. Everyone I know who brings their adored pets to Dr Kolbert are more than satisfied and so are we. Highly recommended!

Unlike vets before him, he was able to get him on a medical regimen so the seizures stopped without the weight gain. I have a new puppy and they have been really awesome with her, they allow my to train her in the office during visits and lure her while she is getting shots so she has a great experience. Lastly, you learn a lot about your animals care taker when you have to put one down. They treated me very nicely and compassionately when I had to put my cat down. You don't forget those moments. They do run appointment only visits but they have two offices with late hours for working people which makes taking animals in convenient.

Micah was calm and well behaved throughout his first vet visit, which made the experience even more reassuring. They were able to fit us in for a same-day appointment, and everyone--from the front desk staff to the veterinarian and groomer--was incredibly kind and showed genuine care for Micah. The team was thorough, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and provide excellent care. We truly appreciated the compassion and professionalism they showed, and we highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

He would drink but not eat and seemed to be under stress And sluggish. Even though it is supposed to be a walk-in clinic, we had made an appointment and saw Dr. Leung. She was very nice, examined him and gave her advice. We decided on a conservative approach as the options were costly. They whip out a tablet (not unusual) and show you the prices. The least costly was @ $500. Part of this was a probiotic package which was @$50 and had little or no effect. He seemed slightly better on Sunday, but during the night was very sluggish And still would not eat although he was drinking. I emailed them early Monday morning that we were bringing him in, probably for the next treatment, blood tests. We got there a little after opening and there was a closed sign on the door. Someone came out and said they were doing surgery, could not help him and told us to go to the emergency vet, which is probably what we should have done in the first place. I think we were treated very badly. We did go to the emergency vet in Carle Place and our dog seems to be doing better.
