Since my natural hair color is black, it has undertones of red which I really hate. My stylist was Isa and I told her that I was really unhappy with the redness (brassiness) in my hair and how I had thought I wanted lighter color hair in the past but realized that it makes me look washed out. I liked how Isa told me she was going to put layers in my hair when she was getting ready to cut my hair because it gave me the chance to tell her that I didn't want that. This is actually the exact reason it took me so long to even decide to color my hair in the first place. I was worried about ending up with something too highlighted, too chunky, or not natural-looking. I trusted this salon because my family members go there, and because the stylist reassured me multiple times that she fully understood the soft "expensive brunette" look I was trying to achieve and could absolutely do it. I spent a long time explaining and showing inspiration photos for a very specific look: soft, blended "expensive brunette" dimension with subtle low-contrast color and soft layered shaping. The photos I showed were rich dimensional brunettes -- not chunky, stripy, or heavily highlighted. Unfortunately, the final result looked much brighter, chunkier, and less blended than what I had requested, and the haircut also did not reflect the layered V/U-shaped look I asked for. Because this was my first professional color service, I relied heavily on the stylist's guidance regarding timing and expectations. Before the service even began, I specifically expressed concern about whether there was enough time to fully achieve the look I wanted, and I even offered to come back another day entirely so the stylist would have more time to work with me and not feel rushed. I was repeatedly reassured that there was "plenty of time" and told not to worry. Since I had never had a dimensional color service before, I trusted that assessment. Unfortunately, the appointment ended up running extremely late anyway, the salon was closing by the end, and I never really had a proper opportunity to sit down and fully evaluate the final result before leaving. However, once I did get home and properly see my hair, I knew immediately that it was not what I had asked for. I actually contacted the salon shortly after the appointment because I knew almost immediately it wasn't what I wanted, but shortly afterward I experienced serious health-related circumstances and was unable to return within the normal correction timeframe. Months later, once I was finally able to address my hair again, I called hoping to work something out. What disappointed me most was how dismissive and defensive the response immediately felt. Before I could even fully explain the situation, it became clear there was no willingness to work collaboratively or even discuss possible solutions -- despite the fact that I fully acknowledged the time that had passed, explained the serious health-related circumstances that delayed my return, and specifically offered to pay again if needed. If you are specifically a brunette looking for very soft, blended, low-contrast dimensional color, I would strongly recommend making sure the stylist you book with truly specializes in that aesthetic. At the very least, I believe clients spending this amount of money should feel there is some willingness to work with them respectfully when the final result clearly does not align with the inspiration photos provided.

After being seated, I was addressed in front of others about a comment that my hair is "never right" and that my stylist may not be the right fit for me. This was not what I intended, and it felt embarrassing to have that conversation publicly while already in the chair. There have been times where I've needed minor adjustments after seeing the final color fully styled, which have always been addressed and corrected without issue. I continued to return because I was generally happy with the end result. I completely understand that concerns about adjustments may need to be discussed, and I respect that not every client/stylist relationship is the right fit. However, I would have appreciated a private conversation beforehand rather than being put in that position at the start of the appointment. The way this was handled felt unprofessional and disappointing, especially given the level of service and cost. Because I trusted the knowledge, the supposed expertise and because she advertises as a false blonde specialists I trusted this person. Looking down the road now nine months later the signs of destruction of my hair is really going to be years of repair. Instead of this person being ethical principled in her practice, she decided to burn off my hair in certain parts, blame me and attempt to hide it with the hair extensions I use to have in my hair. This individual does not know how to do tape extensions to any capacity and lied to me months and months on end. She is not a trustworthy person changes her prices, depending on your status and financial standing. Every time I came in to retape and reinstall my extensions not once did the owner ever wash the hair. She would literally reinstall dirty hair. Every single time I came to reinstall the hair she would proclaim that some hair talk dry shampoo was the "professional" way to wash the extensions. But, with obvious reasons this was the first sign of her inexperience with these services. Because beauty standards require stylists to wash the hair thoroughly before reinstalling, but she decided to make up her own ghetto process so then you would have to come in basically in less than two weeks to reinstall the hair. After all this time working together, the last time I was, there was in July and she did the same bad business practice again. I even came in three days before to drop off the hair so it could be prepared cleaned and she still did not fulfill the request of the client and actually wash the hair. No. very bitter Miss know it all, but doesn't know how to actually do the job correctly had me come in for re installation and color and her being the expert and stylist decided to do what she wanted further destroying the hair left me unhappy dissatisfied. Within three days I already had extensions falling out of my hair. Oh, and she actually let me leave the salon that day so unhappy and dissatisfied and still charged me for the entire service, even though I had extensions falling out within three days, where after 10 days I had more than half of the extensions fall out of my head, and this so-called owner instead of actually mitigating the problem, or, addressing it head on, decided to block my number and fight my credit card company after three months of ignoring me. Ultimately blaming me for using extensions to cover up her damage to my hair. It's a felony to purposefully damage a clients hair and not even attempt to remediate or resolve the issue but instead ignore block and return that the client no longer exist. She would legitimately use extensions to cover up damaged hair. That is what she thinks. The purpose of extensions are for this person cannot be trusted unless you want to live like I am with damaged hair. And interestingly enough, I saw that she decided to post images of my old hair promoting it on Google instead of addressing the problem that she has with me her client. You destroy a clients hair charge them and refuse to resolve a problem you created? Is exactly why I'm here today advising people to stay away from such problematic people who will create issues and cast blame on the clients that bring you business. Desiree, you need to do better as a business owner and not involve your emotions in problems you as the business owner created. I have attempted since the Fourth of July to speak to this business owner after eight months of working with her to resolve the destruction of my hair, and instead has blocked my number and is now trying to profit off of the likeness of my images. I do not recommend whatsoever. STAY AWAY. She is not a blonde specialist, but a blonde destructionist.
