This isn't the first time that this has happened but it's the first time that I'm leaving a review. Our family just tried to place an order for a pizza and they called me back stating that my card was declined so I asked politely if they could run my card one more time because he probably misunderstood me and he said that he had tried three times so he would not be trying again so so I mentioned can you please try again if not, just cancel the order and he said OK and hung up the phone on me. There has been multiple occasions where we order pizza for our family. This was a place that we've been ordering from over 10 years and it's always the same bullshit negative rude attitude they don't even let you finish placing the order on the phone before they're trying to rush you off the phone never again read more

We decided a pizza and onion rings would be good for dinner tonight. One of the pizzerias we like is Dominicks. Well not anymore. They jacked their price on a medium pepperoni pizza by $6.00 I cannot believe that is even close to being reasonable. AND though they have onion rings still on the menu they do not sell them any more. I have attached pictures of their menu. Last one they used to deliver, not any more even though it is still on their VERY SAD MENU. I should have looked at the reviews before we ordered. With service like this they should lock their doors. We employees can tell customer them they are to busy to help them, they should lock the door. When they have a Menu that has had all the prices blacked out they should close the door and lock it for good. Even so I am very sad that they are going out of business. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience at Dominick's where I overheard a manager belittling and humiliating his employee in front of everyone. He said to the employee "I don't need your mistakes [profanity] up my business. If you do one more mistake you're done after today. I don't need you [profanity] up this business when I can run it by myself. Don't forget that." And kept repeating it in his employees face OVER AND OVER again. The employee, who very obviously had just started out in this location, was apologizing profusely and trying to be as perfect as possible. Unfortunately, he did something that ticked off his manager and the manager said "don't come back tomorrow." And continued to repeat it again and again while the employee was still trying to work. It was heartbreaking. I have done food service roles before and learning all the ins and outs takes time and is a learning curve. I feel for the employee in this situation and wish he knows that he provided excellent service to me. The manager however, made this such a horrid experience. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. OVER PRICED food (that is not worth the price) and hostile work environment. To the manager at this establishment, if you do not have the patience to train and have empathy for your employees then I suggest looking for experienced staff members that have worked in pizzerias before you hire them. You could've taken this employee to the back or had a debrief after the day was over. Not hurt and demean him as you did. I will not be coming back here and I suggest others do the same . read more

So I grew up in Piscataway and while I dabbled in just about EVERY pizza place in town, Dominick's was always, by far, my favorite. I've been going to Dominicks for over 35 years and EVERY time I go back to P-way I stop in at Dominicks for a couple of slices. Sneaking down to there a couple weeks ago once again proved to me, that even with all of the changes over the years (how many of you remember when the original place burned down?) it is still that place that brings me back to my childhood. I really think that if I did a taste test I could pick out the slice from Dominick's. The thin crust is always perfect, and even though the sauce has changed a little from when I was a kid (it's a little sweeter now), it doesn't take away from the quality of the pies. Growing up, I was always a big fan of the extra chees pie, but these days it's usually either just a plain slice or their sausage is delicious. Ok so I'm reminiscing a bit, but just writing this brings me back to the old shop with the original owner (well, at least as far back as I can remember) and watching him and the other guys tossing/stretching the dough and arguing over everything...toppings flying all over the place, Dad letting me get a slice while we waited for our pies to finish cooking. I need a fix. Gotta get back down there again soon. read more

Good variety of "gourmet" pizzas. Excellent thin light crust, it is just the right balance of crispy but not hard or dry. Lasagna pizza with ricotta, chopped meat, mozzarella, grated cheese and tomato sauce really tasted like lasagna. I also tried what looked like bacon chicken ranch, although it's not listed on the menu, the "bacon" tasted somewhat like pancetta. It was tasty. The interior is very clean and open. Their pizza is usually pretty good, but after ordering their lasagna today, we won't be returning. "Meat Lasagna" was meatless. Literally paid $11 for a tomatoe soup and bread. This review is going to be very biased based on 2 things. 1) I went at 11:30 on a Saturday, so all the pies were fresh. I got first slice on all 3 pizzas I tried, and 2) I ate there, so I have my food right out of the oven. So I went with the buffalo, chicken/bacon/ranch (CBR) and Caesar. Buffalo was really good- nice bit of heat, tasted like Franks- which I am down with. Pizza held straight with a little crisp to the crust, but I could have used just a little more. The CBR, while not my favorite slice to order, was the best slice of CBR I've even had. I don't know, something is just always off for me at other places- dry chicken, rubbery bacon, weird ranch... this place just got all 3 just right. Caesar was also good, but not my favorite flavor of Caesar dressing. If you go early for fresh pies and get it out of the oven (and maybe tell them you want it left in a little longer), this place will not disappoint. read more

Have had pizza from here several times and am always pleased. I am a huge fan of the white pizza with broccoli. The slices are gigantic and have pockets of creamy ricotta and garlicky broccoli. A delicious combination that is not too rich for a white pizza. Their cheese and veggie pizza aren't bad as well. A bit on the pricier side but definitely worth it. read more

I grew up in Piscataway and have always eaten at Dominick's even before their new location across the street. Great pizza, great quality. Now with the drive thru, it makes getting a slice easier and faster. Try their garlic knots, but make sure you have some gum or mints afterward. read more

My family has been longstanding fans of Dominick's, but last night they pulled a fast one on us. We got 2 pies to go and didn't look at them before leaving (we were all hungry). Got home to find the contents of one pie all on one half of the pie. Not up to their usually higher standard, as well as much greasier than normal. So this is my second time getting pizza in Jersey, and this place was pretty good. Their sausage and mushroom pizza was great. I LOVE the fact that they shred the sausage instead of having it a little more clumpy. What I loved most was the variety of flavors. I saw a kale/broccoli pizza, supreme, Sicilian, a chicken Caesar, too! That chicken Caesar was awesome! The only drawback of this place is more of google maps fault. I hope they get it fixed because I missed it twice while using Google as my GPS. Extra bonus of this place: drive thru!! read more

Everytime I order a sandwich, I get a slightly different variation. One time I had received red sauce, another time onions (always ask for no onions), sometimes with cheese, and lately I get unbreaded chunks of chicken instead of a chicken cutlet. It wouldnt bother me, but it's bland and dry. Mind you I order the same thing often enough and it's not a custom item. I went in to get my money back, and the young employee was very nice about the situation, but the older guy behind the counter had an attitide. You would think that he would ask what went wrong or how it could be made better to a customer that spends about $2k over the course of a year but instead he repeated "I don't have time for this." Luckily, Enzo's does and they know the difference between a cutlet and dry chunks of chicken. It's a shame because for a while they had a good run. Came here to celebrate a tournament basketball win with our 3rd grade boys, just to be greeted with negativity and annoyance. The Owner, Vinnie gave our team along with their families trouble just because we wanted to eat here and celebrate. We were too many people he said...THE PLACE WAS EMPTY!!!! Okay, I've been here a few times to pick up a slice or two for the kids. Not too bad a slice. Today I ordered for delivery. The order arrived in a timely manner, only took about half an hour. The wings were soggy. The coating was falling off of them and they smelled a little "off". Can't give a review on taste because I didn't try them due to the smell. The mozzarella sticks were not the average breading, think more of a fish n chip batter. I tried one and didn't care for it. My wife got a chef's salad that didn't even come with a salad dressing. On to the pizza. I think I lost a filing. The dough was extremely tough. Not sure if this means it has been sitting around for a few days, or if this is a bad batch of dough. My three year old couldn't even chew it. He spit it out and asked for something else. My five year old smothered it in ketchup and let it get soggy. My previous experiences with this pizza have been okay. I've been going there every few months since I moved to the area 6 years ago. Average local spot for pizza with a decent slice. Seems like quality fell off a cliff recently. After this experience I'll get Papa John's before I order from Dominick's again. read more

Ordered food from this place and everything was great! We had Cavatelli and Broccoli, Eggplant Rollatini, and a Sausage and Broccoli Rabe Stromboli just to try it out. My only complaints are that the eggplant could have been a bit more seasoned, the Cavatelli was REALLY oily, and the Stromboli was a little too doughy*. The lady below is right this place is rude. I came here when they were across the street at 7/11 since I was in preschool & went to young learners academy. I called today to make a order he rushed me & sounded just so obnoxious & rude. I debated for about 5 seconds if I wanted to pay the delivery fee even tho I'm like 2 minutes away from their place (I just couldn't drive today) & within those 5 seconds he goes well that's the fee you call me back and tell me when you know what you want & I told him he was being mean & he says "I'm not being mean" like man you could of said sorry. Gross... dead bugs on the tables, flies everywhere, the wings tasted like soap, some of the greasiest pizza I've ever had, and the garlic knots were dry. The workers were handing someone a takehome box and dropped it, they looked annoyed when the customer asked for a new one and then proceeded to talk about him behind the counter. They put the dropped box back in the stack. When we asked for water, they gave us water with pink dye in it from the same spout as another pink drink. Recent return to the area after 22 years and met some high-school friends at Dominick's for a reunion. Amazingly the place has not changed since 1986!. It is like walking into retroville...same booths, same plastic pitchers of pop and the same great pizza. My Texas-raised husband was confused when the he was asked if he was waiting for a "pie!" The place is primarily takeout as evidenced by the several folks coming in and out, but was able to deal with a table of ten including our kids. Still as I remember, great pizza....! I've been going to this spot since middle school (40+ years). I ordered a large cheese steak sandwich yesterday but got a cheesesteak PIZZA. The owner refused to give me the correct order because I bit the pizza (what was he going to do with it? Try to re-sell it after it's been delivered to my house?) When I got it I knew it was the wrong order but decided to try it since it was delivered. It was disgusting. I had to drive to the restaurant just to get my $ returned. This jerk was rude as hell.. Mind you I order from this spot a couple of times a month. This BIG DUMMY would rather lose a faithful customer rather than make me a cheesesteak. I'll never order from this spot again!!!
