    Veggie omelette
    Carmen L.

Looking for a hometown, down-to-earth diner? Search no more. Established in 2021, this small, law enforcement/military-friendly restaurant serves breakfast and lunch (closed Monday/Tuesday). The breakfast menu is not very big and prices are a bit higher than what you'd expect for diner grub, but rest assured you're likely to get two meals out of whatever you order. I went with the veggie omelette, which was served with home fries, and I could only eat half of it. The omelette was essentially a plain egg omelette stuffed with veggies, which is different. I'm used to having diced veggies mixed into the eggs, but Dominic's does it differently and that's okay. My partner got the "Big Mike" breakfast sandwich and it was, as expected, big. We took half of it home. Overall, we had a good experience at Dominic's. Friendly staff and good food. Just note that there's limited parking out front.

I was in the area and decided to give a new place a shot. Dominic's is a small but cozy place. The decor is nice and has a good vibe. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had 2 eggs over easy and bacon and home fries. everything was cooked excellent and tasted great. The pricing was fine. I would definitely go again as everything was great.

A great local breakfast spot! They do get busy but worth the wait! Huge servings for breakfast. We had the big "D" breakfast and it was so much food! The sausage is very good. Great prices as well.

It was a rainy morning breakfast stop and once inside it felt like it was sunny out. All the staff is so nice and it feels like a big family. Everything seems super clean. The omelets are big. The food was good. The parking lot is a bit small but you can park along the street across the street. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Popped in for a quick to-go sandwich as we waited for the pasta ladies to arrive at Pasta by (PS - epically good fresh dried pasta!) - and boy did this place deliver! Friendly staff at the counter took my order -- a BLT (u get a choice of side salad, fries, or home fries) -- and they took care to ask if I wanted no tomato on my salad since I'd asked for no "t" on my BLT. There's plenty of seating if you want to dine in. Basic diner decor - tho not kitschy. The sandwich came out quickly and ohhhh sooo good with super fresh bread from the aways fabulous Mancini's. The applewood smoked bacon was plentiful and the lettuce fresh. Really flavorful sandwich. The salad was a basic small salad - crispy cukes, slivered carrots, black olives (urg - those tasteless pizza ones - not kalamata - but, hey, it's a diner!) & red onion --- and I got their tangy homemade Italian dressing. Definitely will be back.

Ask the Community - Dominic's Diner

I planned to eat at Dominic's Diner this morning, but when I drove by a few times, I saw only a handful of parking spaces that were already full. Does the restaurant have additional parking spaces, and where are they?

No they don't have additional parking. You can try to turn right up the hill and park on the street.

It was a typical retro-vintage stop inside, and I was forewarned by the veteran waitress they were open only for the next half-hour. I reassured her I was not planning to stay long. It must've been the end of a long shift for her because she was grumbling to the busboy about the other waitress who decided to leave early. This other woman, clearly the 'Kiss Mah Grits' type, alienated me by calling me Mr. Miyagi and cackling about it to the rest of the staff. I thought I might be expected to recite lines from "The Karate Kid". Instead I ordered the $11.25 Grilled Meatloaf Melt, which came with quite a slice covered in fried onions and melted Swiss cheese barely held together by the toasted rye bread. It was on the greasy side, and the fries were dried out (Photo 10). What would Mr. Miyagi say? On the weekend, we waited about 15 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad at all. During the weekday, we were seated immediately. The star of the meal is undoubtedly the famous crepe-style hotcakes. They're thin, buttery, lightly crisp around the edges, and absolutely to die for. Pair them with the Lyonnaise-style potatoes, and you've got one of the best brunch combinations around. The service was quick and friendly both times, our coffee cups never stayed empty thanks to the free refills, and the food came out surprisingly fast despite how busy it was. Luckily there were only a few people ahead of us and this place doesn't really good job of keeping people on a steady flow in and out. They do require that you have all of your party ready to sit before they'll sit you down. We waited perhaps 5 minutes to get a table for four. Among us we ordered the eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, and their classic breakfast sandwich. Across the board it was all very tasty. The biscuits and gravy I think use a sweet or sausage that I'm used to, but it was still very good. One of the best things about the eggs benedict is that it didn't taste just like the sauce, which is common. Instead you got the full medley of flavors from the egg and all the fixings. We also got their classic Italian bread french toast which is so buttery by itself you really almost don't need syrup. Served by very friendly but very efficient waitresses. The only downside, which this restaurant can't really control, is that parking is a pain and is expensive. But that's just a nature of the way the Strip District has grown. We didn't have any other sandwiches but they look like they would be delicious and this would be a good place for a brunch or lunch as well.
