Let me start off by saying this USED to be a very nice establishment. It's been years since I have been here and they have REALLY let themselves go. The food is horrible. Most of their items are bought from market basket, and the pancakes are paper thin. I was honestly disappointed with the whole experience. I ordered hash, and it's was awful, I told her I was not a "fan" of the hash, she (the waiter with the yellow dirty acrylics) yelled " she's not a fan, I told her it was homemade". Which was rude. When the bill came, I asked to have the hash removed, she stated, "you ordered it just because you didn't like it doesn't mean we are removing it". I said ok, and paid for food I didn't eat. Then she look dumbfounded when she was left with no tip. The customer service was POOR! I should of left her a penny for good luck! read more

This place is scummy. The waiter was dirty. The service is crappy. And I love it :) I hadn't been here since high school so the morning after my 5 year reunion seemed like the perfect time to come back! I was a little upset b/c I wanted the Hungry Man Breakfast (obvi) but wanted to swap the beans (ew gross) for bacon... The waiter said the "Chef" wouldn't allow that. Are you kidding me? This is the dumpiest place ever and you don't allow substitutions? You only have 3 customers and I'd think you might want to accommodate them. Grrrrr.. I'm still pissed about it. After I calmed down I chose the pancakes with bacon and an extra side of bacon (HA HA)! I like bacon... wannfightaboutit? The food was mediocre and the service was crap but my dining companions were amazing and watching the little planes take off was amusing. read more

Terrible service. Completely ignored by staff who were just standing around while one older waitress cleaned tables and watch us sit patiently for 20 minutes. Bring Joe back! He would never allow this. Place is filthy especially tables with crumbs on it. If staff is going to have a telephone call in the kitchen by an open window he needs to keep his voice lowered. This used to be one of my favorite places for breakfast. I hadn't been there in quite awhile - maybe a year - and stopped in today. The place seems to be under new management, maybe. The food is fine, though not as good as it used to be. The service has completely eroded away. You used to go in there get seated quickly, get treated like family or a long lost friend, quickly get served a moutain of delicious food. Your coffee cup couldn't get filled enough and the waitstaff was awesome and friendly and attentive. I had a pretty opposite experience today. It is a holiday and they were pretty busy. We were seated within 20 minutes, but all the friendliness is gone from that place. The waitstaff isn't rude or anything like that, just not what they once were. I was sitting right in front of a clock. We were seated at 10:30. We weren't offered coffee or drinks for over 10 minutes. It took us until 11:20 to get food on our table. I had to ask three different people for a second cup of coffee. Finally, I couldn't get my check until I sent my family to the car, got up and tapped my waitress on the elbow. The food was fine, but not what it once was and the homemade hash is completely overrated. However it used to be made was my favorite. Today, I had 2 bites and ate no more. Makes me sad, but we won't be returning. In it's current implementation it is a fine place to eat, but I can't stop comparing it to it's former self. read more

A mainstay of Essex county, any tourist would be remiss not stopping here, best this place has to offer. Nothing quite like driving 40 minutes with one's 4 yr-old in the hopes of a pancake breakfast watching airplanes take off... and walk into a crowded diner, with wait staff scurrying around and not looking up for 10 minutes. I went to "Joe's Landing" today and discovered that it is now "Dominic's Diner". i don't know when the new management took over. The first thing you notice is the absence of the wall menu above the counter, and the presence of new granite countertops at the counter area. In return, there are new menus which seem to have most of the same things you could order before. Observations: - I ordered their 2-eggs with corn beef hash breakfast, and opted for their "home made baked beans". The baked beans served to me were hard, not soft, which suggested they had not been cooked properly. They were not particularly flavorful, either. If I return I will choose another item instead of the beans. - At $9.00, the corn beef hash with 2 eggs is only 25c less than the hungry man option, which comes with 3 eggs, more meat, etc. The corn beef has was actually corn beef mixed with diced up potato. It was okay, but not great. If nothing changes in how it's prepared, this would not be something I would order again based on this experience. I did convey my feedback to my server. Since I like to support local businesses, and since I don't know if "Dominic" would hear about my concerns, I'm posting here to be on the safe side. In closing, I hope this place improves. read more

If you like Kafta you MUST come here! All the middle eastern food is homemade and though the ambiance can leave little to be desired, the variety food that is available here is awsome! And hey, for some one who has two crazy, hyper, uncontrollable children, to be able to go out to eat and let them run around a fenced in yard (There is seating outside) over looking planes is like Heaven. Absolutely love that my fiancée and I found this place. We ordered the corned beef hash omelet and French toast. The French toast was delicious, but the winner was the omelet. We have been searching for homemade hash made from scratch for years now and finally found it. Highly Reccommend it for those who really appreciate good hash. First visit here, so tried my diner baseline breakfast of over easy eggs, home fries, toast. Mid-morning on a weekday, there were more workers than customers. Service was good and friendly. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, but that is what I ordered. I didn't order then this time but noticed that the baked beans were home-made. The cook was sampling them from a crock pot. Just had a HORRIFIC experience. I take a class of 14 students over there every year to say goodbye to our exchange kids. We were five minutes late (and I was supposed to call this morning to give them a head count so that IS my fault). When we got there, Dominic was furious that we had not called and said "it's no excuse" when I explained. Place was completely empty. Kids sat down. I asked him if we had a problem and he went OFF. Screaming at me numerous times that I was an irresponsible teacher and parent (whaaaaat???) and that he never wanted my business again. He then proceeded to throw all of us out of the diner. What a morning for the kids! So terrible. He chased me out while screaming expletives. He was even hollering out the window at our bus as we left. It was absolutely insane. So I would highly recommend not giving them any business. The place has gone downhill since it became Dominic's. Used to love going there so much with my own children and had such fond memories of the place before the new ownership. Wow what a morning. I guess our exchange kids got a chance to experience some "ugly americanism" this morning but not the way I wanted for them to say goodbye to us. Such a shame. read more

This is a very limited review: the apple pie. Love and support airport restaurants, which is why I was at this establishment on a business trip. Please look to others for a review of other selections! Summary: do not make my mistake. The pie: 1" high (or less), and tasted really strange. The ice cream: 3/4" thick and so gummy that I am not certain that it was really ice cream at all. Why 3/4" thick? Because they sliced it from ice cream in a box. Try the rest though. I've eaten there many times over the last couple of years. Excellent food and service every time. Today I went for lunch and had the "Chicken Bomb" lunch (think Steak bomb but with chicken) . All was delicious. First course was a generous salad with fresh ingredients. The chicken itself was sauteed with mushrooms, onions and peppers and some Greek seasoning. Really tasty and not at all greasy like a "steak bomb". I've eaten breakfast several times too, and the corned beef hash is really outstanding. Coffee good too. read more

This place was the best when it was Joe's Landing. Under the new management the service has gone down hill, the food is not as good and the staff friendliness is almost non-existent. They aren't rude, they just aren't friendly. Our most recent experience this last week will probably keep us from returning. While I appreciate the fact that they ended up comping all of our meals, I don't know if it will bring us back. My wife says give them another chance. The airport restaurant has been a family favorite for over 20 years, so to see the downhill slide has been very disappointing. read more

Ever since Jimmy K's in Haverhill temporarily closed for renovations, Dominic's has been the go-to place for breakfast for my dad and I nearly every Sunday, and it has really turned out to be a hidden gem. They have awesome food, especially the meat lovers' omelette and the flavored pancakes. I'd also recommend having Julie as your server if she's available, because she always does an excellent job. Don't waste your time!! This place is gross!!! Just left Dominic's Diner and I'm sad to say this will be my first and last time ever coming here. The service teatered between really bad and horrible and the food was very disappointing! First off, I asked for an omlet with my onions well done, spinach, tomatoes, Ham and feta. When the omlette was delivered to the table, my onions were raw, and the spinach was frozen and the tomatoes were canned!! How this place is still in business serving ingredients such as frozen spinach and canned tomatoes is baffling. My husband and I also ordered a blueberry pancake to split. It was flat, tough and gross. With regards to the service, the waitress was nice young lady, however she was not very attentive, she never checked on us not did she ever bring my husband's bottled water... We went back for a third try after getting an immediate response from the owner who saw my review. I have to say, I saw a big improvement this visit.
