A first floor outdoor veranda opposite the main entrance stretches the length of the main building overlooking the well groomed hillside vineyards and a stocked, picturesque fishing pond. The hillside stretches up the horizon and with the westward facing veranda, offers stunning sunset views along with wine service. Below is a patio off the main restaurant and bar offering even more seating around fire pits with couches and Adirondack chairs with appetizer and drinks available for the bar/restaurant. We toured a king 2 room suite with a large sitting area separated from an equally large and well appointed sleeping area with a private large balcony that also faced the western sunset over the vineyards. The rooms were described as more akin to an apartment whereas the 9 onsite yurts accommodations were described more akin to a condo, described as pet friendly and a quiet community. Behind the yurts is a large barn structure that serves as a tasting room with an outdoor seating area with Edison lights strung around the overhang creating a warm space to enjoy the vineyards end production, currently nine wine vintages. Beside the main building are two much larger shaped yurt structures housing a full fitness center and a spa as will as an outdoor pool. We dined at Hickory for dinner and enjoyed their farm to table, Appalachia oriented menus. That will be a separate review but it hits 10/10 for hospitality, service, presentation and food excellence. We plan a fall trip for an overnight stay when the vineyards come in just before harvest to get the full experience! Also, we initially had a glass of their Chardonnay and being pleased with this, we opted to enjoy a bottle with dinner even though the wine list had equally excellent choices from familiar vineyards.
