Pick 3 Tamales, Strawberry Cake Slice
    Rachel G.

This is a staple and if you miss the opportunity to go here then shame on you. While the staff in the to go area (two different people) are not super friendly, the food makes up for it. I ate here 3 times in total which is out of the norm when I am in a new area. My friend grabbed it for a pick up dinner. Tamales and the Strawberry cake. Then I grabbed a taco salad for lunch two days as it was close on the way back to the hotel. They do not have dog friendly seating options.

    Whole club w/chips

We were greeted and seated right away. The server was very nice and explained things on the menu. I had the whole club. It was really big. ( should have gotten the half). It is served on a really big toasted hamburger bun. With chips. It was really tasty. My husband got the Philly, that was also good. The desserts here look amazing in a rotating case. We took some to go.. would definitely recommend.

The whole experience was great from top to bottom. We sat on the sunporch with open windows and a view of the mountains. My nachos covered in chili were delicious. They have an excellent selection of tasty desserts we had to take to go because we were so full. My entire family enjoyed their meals.

Loaded nachos a good choice, I'd just skip the iceburg lettuce on it and the "pico" (chopped tomatoes) any other topping you don't like. Friendly and fast service - ordered mine to go.

You tell me it was supposed to be eggs Benedict

Service was good. Food was the worst I ever had here. Eggs Benedict was a joke microwave eggs with solid yokes no hollandaise sauce. Wife's wings were cooked to rubber. Sorry to say time to check box even after all the years of coming up to the races at Bristol twice a year. Tamales were brought out cold. No bread for Steak and Eggs. Very very disappointing

Good amount of beer choices at the bar can watch the game and eat some barbecue

Great friendly service. Had the Jamaican beef pouch which was very good. Had a half a rack of ribs dry with the salsa sides everything was very good but the ribs weren't much more than average not sure I would try this again before trying other barbecue places.

We were passing into town and I was craving a grilled veggie sandwich. We stopped and had an early dinner. We missed the crazy lunch crowd and were too early for the dinner rush. The waiter was amazing. He was quick to take our drink order and was hustling the whole time because he had many tables and one of which was a large party that was quite demanding. The food was amazing as always. We had an outside window spot and the day was a nice cooler summer day. It was very nice.

This was our third visit since last summer. We really enjoy bringing visitors from out of town to this little gem. Love the summer vibe from the decor. Service is fast and the staff are all friendly. We started with the blue cheese spiral chips. It's our favorite. I tried the Reuben and it's not bad. Sauce is on the side so you can add what you want. This is good because I took home half of my meal. Leftovers tasted just as good. Great place to meet and eat before heading out to the Bristol Speedway Christmas Lights.

You have to order the pumpkin pie cheesecake. This is not a suggestion, this is a call to action. If you love yourself and want yourself to consume yummy things, you will try this ASAP (mostly because it is a seasonal offering.) I wish I took a picture of it but we unfortunately demolished this dessert in 30 seconds. I would not recommend getting a cake slice. They are overpriced and also very dry. The food is just okay but it's cool how big of a menu they have. It's definitely a spot where everyone can find something that they like. There are lots of flies so I would eat inside next time but it is nice to eat on their patio area on a cool evening. Their staff is also very helpful and friendly.

One word sums it up - eclectic - from the decor to the menu. My husband and I had dinner here at the suggestion of our Air BNB host after a day of travel. Extensive menus make me suspicious - how can a restaurant do that many things well? In this case, there was no need for concern. My husband had the pulled pork and I had an authentic tamale with a vegetable medley. Everything was delicious. Since their drink specials are good all day, I enjoyed a mimosa for next to nothing. When I was told they had gluten-free key lime pie, I had to try it. It was kind of half-cheesecake, half traditional key lime, but hubby and I both really liked it (it was too much for me to manage by myself and sharing is more fun anyway.)

    Tacos and seasoned tortilla chips

My first visit here and my wife and I had high expectations based on reviews. Some were exceeded while others were not. Cootie Browns has a large parking lot and easy access. The restaurant was clean and spacious. All the staff was friendly and we were promptly seated. The menu is varied and prices are reasonable. Upbeat music and lots of windows make the place very inviting. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the taco lunch. She said the tacos were delicious although the chips that it came with were covered with seasoning and she didn't particularly care for that. The salsa is home made and wonderful too. My sandwich was not that great. The bun was stale and the meat was not moist. Flavor was good. The home made thin chips were tasty as were the baked beans. We didn't have dessert but from what we saw, they looked amazing. We will be back but I will never have the pulled pork from here. (Normally, I find it best to only order BBQ items from a BBQ restaurant... what was I thinking?)

Loved their menu, it's like a little newspaper.

Great family friendly restaurant beith a varied menu, you should be able to find something for everyone in your party. We were seated in the front section, which has large roll-up windows for those days when the weather cooperates. During our time there, I noticed a lot of carryout orders especially their pizza so it must be a good dinner choice. The two of us selected their grilled chicken breast with two sides. The Greek style and buffalo style. Both were very good. No room for dessert! They have a nice selection on their kids meal as well as a full liquor/beer/wine menu with a bar area in the back corner. Bathrooms were clean. Shout out to our server Alan (Allen?) who was amazing.

State line bar and grill is just a few doors down. This grill, it appears, to be in a converted warehouse space. It is likely the whole block was a warehouse which was sectioned into separate commercial properties. It has 20' ceilings with tin ceiling tiles and nice industrial wood flooring. They have live music and karaoke nights. They have a nice selection of food. Seafood, burgers, quesadillas, wings, salads, wraps ... I tried their mushroom Swiss burger which was huge, juicy and delicious. I needed to cut it in half to figure a way to attack it and a lot of napkins. A fun fact: it is the State line grill because it is in Bristol TN but you cross the street and you are in Bristol VA! If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping in to try it out.

Sidewalks are partly covered so weather is not an issue, but crowds would make the trip more difficult. There are also several street buskers which can draw crowds, so just be aware and not in a hurry. You enter on the corner into the main seating area which is sort of separated by a hostess stand and the back of a booth. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we wanted. Seating is a mix of booths and tables and we selected a booth next to the window. Our server came right away and took our drink orders. There is also a board next to the hostess stand with listed specials. Looking over the menu, these were just regular menu items at regular prices. Our server returned and took our food order. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive, which was a little longer than expected. The bbq pork sandwich was dry and did not have a lot of flavor. The bun was fine but the dry meat made it harder to chew and took a lot of water to finish. In addition, the homemade chips were very crispy and salty. This plate left me parched even after drinking three glasses of water. The burger, however, was good. The meat was fairly juicy and toppings were fresh. The same homemade chips accompanied the burger and were also crispy and salty. The bathroom was in poor condition and appeared not to have been cleaned in some time. This was brought to our server's attention, who did not seem too concerned. Maybe this is a good place if you are seeking out music and alcohol, but there are many other options if all you want is lunch.

Tri-Seoul is a family owned business, and the owners absolutely put their hearts, souls and incredible culinary talents into this restaurant. I was fortunate to have a work lunch catered by Tri-Seoul, which enabled me to try a little bit of everything ... and go back for more (twice). Hey, when the food is this good, one bowl just is not enough. The beef, chicken and spicy pork proteins were all delicious, but surprisingly if I had to choose I'd probably go with the chicken--the seasoning was excellent. The fried "Mandu" dumplings are a terrific appetizer, as are both the soy garlic and spicy wings. And a little insider secret from one of the owners ... don't miss the sweet radishes--such a perfect compliment to the wings. Finally, the cucumber and traditional kimchis are equally good, and the spice level is spot on. I loved everything Tri-Seoul had to offer, and I'm not ashamed at all to say we had it BOTH days during our work conference--it was just that good! If you haven't already, you've gotta give this place a try ... what in the world are you waiting for?!?
