Twice now I have left orders within their working hours (once at 9pm when they close at 1am), and they have just decided to take my money and my order, and then close early without delivering my food or contacting me to let me know they won't be despite having my phone number. I sit and wait for hours and then call them to look into my food only to get no answer since they've closed. called the local Ithaca number at 11:30pm placed an order and paid by credit card over the phone the woman who took the order said she would give the driver our phone number to contact us when he was on his way. At12:51 am they had shut their phone off so we went to the store and the woman there said that they never had the order and I have to call tomorrow to get a credit back meanwhile they have a pending hold on my card and we have no food! I ordered two large pizzas with extra tomato sauce. There was minimal sauce on either pizza. Certainly not "extra" sauce. The crust was very salty. Maybe it's supposed to be "garlic" crust, but it just tastes like salt to me. Domino's used to have great crust, but the greasy, salty crust they have now is unappealing. The biggest problem was with delivery. A full hour from order placement online, to the delivery driver showing up at my house. Both pizzas were lukewarm and far from "fresh out of the oven". Apparently the delivery driver had trouble finding my address, but he never called for directions (I provided my phone number when placing my order). I can't recommend Domino's any more. They used to be a solid choice for pizza delivery, but this was a dismal experience. read more

I know I know, I'm writing a review for Domino's. After a few late work nights and little food in the fridge, we decided to use them for delivery. I don't think I've had dominos in years, maybe 8. Delivery was pretty quick and the pizza and cheese bread was surprisingly better than we expected. Domino's is Domino's. It's not the best pizza you're ever going to have, but sometimes you just get a craving. The location for this downtown Ithaca Domino's has changed over the last couple years. The plaza itself that it sits in doesn't have great parking and can be difficult to get into and out of when traffic is busy... but you make due. (Sadly, I'm not in their delivery zone... so it's pick-up only.) In the past, I've gotten pizzas that were overly cooked and some of the toppings more burnt, but I had been thinking that seems to have improved recently. Alas, no! Nix that... just got a pizza from there today and my pizza was overcooked, as was my cheesebread. With regards to price, a large pizza is over $20, and honestly? I've gotten better pizzas for less. Also, when I went to pick up my pizza recently? Things seemed to be in a bit of chaos... with employees not being able to find certain items for orders, yelling for things across the room. TL;DR Would be nice if they expanded their delivery zone... because I'm starting to think the overall experience is more pleasant when you don't have to actually GO in to their location. read more

Really disapppinted with the order. Got a large thin crust pizza with no cheese and double philly steak. I have a dairy allergy and this pizza came with white topping on it. My roommate tasted small piece of it and it was cheese. And there was one piece of Spinach. Tried to order delivery to campus. Was quoted that it would take 55-65 minutes. Over 2 hours later I'm still waiting for the pizza and no one will answer the phone at the shop. I would like to cancel my order but cannot get in touch with anyone. This is ridiculous. Do not order from this store. Edit: 8 hours later I still have no pizza and no one will answer at the store. My order no longer shows in the order tracking and my charge to my credit card has been refunded. Seems as though they just canceled my order without notifying me. According to another reviewer from today they went to the store and there was only one employee in the shop. Obviously it is not this lone employees fault, but it is apparent management doesn't give a s*** about their customers and even more so their employees. Ridiculous. The Grub -- * 2 Medium 2-Topping Pizzas (Mushroom & Pepperoni and Pineapple & Bacon) ($5.99 each) Venue Review -- Domino's is tucked away into the corner of a small plaza right before you reach the Commons where the REAL food is. It's nothing special in terms of dining arrangement. Everything feels a little sticky or greasy, but that's exactly what you'd expect at any self-respecting pizza parlor. Food Review -- The price cannot be beat! For $5.99 apiece my friend and I ordered in 2 Medium (12") pizzas to fuel our weary minds. They were SO HOT when we opened up the cardboard boxes that steam came rushing out. It was as if they came right off the pizza belt. The garlic crust is a BIG plus. It might have just been the fact that we were going delusional from all the studying, but my friend and I were very impressed with the pizza. Only problem we had was that the sauce was barely there and the cheese (we asked for the normal amount although there are heavier options) was also almost nonexistent. Service Review -- The times I've dined-in, service has been "eh". Just enough politeness to get your order in and sit down with your food but of course when you get fountain drinks, refills are on your own, buddy. Overall Impression -- If you get hungry on a Friday or Saturday late night, call up Domino's, they'll deliver until 2 AM! Most other nights they're open until 1am. Domino's isn't always my first choice back at home (it falls short of Mountain Mike's, Papa John's, etc.), but with many more great deals like this one maybe I'll be calling them up more often. read more

I feel ridiculous for trying to write a review for Domino's, but my experience with this place has been frustrating. I've never ordered takeout in Ithaca, but I called this place to order a medium two topping pie for delivery. I was stuck on the phone for ten minutes during this transaction. The man on the other line just couldn't figure out what I was saying, even though there wasn't much background noise on either end. At one point, he said to me, "Shouting will not help me hear you better," which I found irritating because I wasn't actually shouting. It was a bad connection, but thanks, Domino's, for placing the blame on me. When I gave him my credit card number, he said the machine was frozen and it was rejecting my order. When I asked to make sure that all of these failed attempts weren't charging my credit card repeatedly, he said, "It's telling me 'failed attempt,' so how can it be charging your credit card?" So I said I would like to cancel the order altogether. Of course, he called me back five minutes later to say that the order actually did go through and my credit card was charged. To cancel the order now, he added, I'd have to wait three days for the charge to clear from my credit card statement. Apparently, "failed attempt" could very well mean that the order did go through, so I guess he belittled me for no reason after all. read more

In my experiences Domino's usually has good service, but not this one. In three and a half years of ordering from them, the majority of my orders have resulted in a bad experience. They've refused to honor coupons that are still valid, they've delivered the wrong pizza, and they've taken forever to deliver. My worst experience was on a football Sunday. They quoted me 1.5 hours until delivery and I thought that was a long time but I was willing to wait. 2 hours later I called back to check up on where the pizza was and they told me it was next in line to be made. I called again at 3 hours and they didn't even pick up the phone. After repeated calls, I called with a friend's phone to see if they were screening my calls and it turns out they picked up right away in hopes of taking another order. Once they found out who I was they put me on hold and I couldn't reach them after that. The pizza was never delivered. read more

I absolutely love this Domino's Pizza. I was convinced to give it a try months ago, and have been pizza-happy since. Ordering online is easy, the coupons are decent deals sometimes, and the delivery has always been quick. Once, when the weather was bad, an employee actually called to let me know they would be running late--they called only a minute after the order had been placed! Kindness and courtesy are always appreciated! Picking up in-store has been just as easy and enjoyable. The store itself is always clean and comfortable, and the employees have been nothing but personable and nice, as well as timely and communicative. As for the food? Very good cheap, delivery pizza. Its pretty good considering its fast food. I've always had my food delivered within 30 minutes. Their pizzas are best eaten hot but would not recommend otherwise. Pastas are terrible. Love the stuffed cheesy bread with spinach and feta- the one side I would definitely recommend. By far the most disgusting "wings" I've ever had. Worst service I've ever experienced. Period. Placed an online order via the app at 5:07pm on a SUNDAY night. Called 90 minutes later when my pizza still hadn't arrived to the hotel I was staying at. When the employee I spoke with learned of my situation, she NEVER ONCE APOLOGIZED and said that both they and the driver tried calling to get my hotel room number, which was an absolute lie as I had no missed calls and I was sitting in the lobby waiting for him to arrive. The ignorance, willingness to lie, and attempt to pin the problem on ME is the polar opposite of customer service. I strongly recommend that this store instill a little effort into appropriate customer service training skills, as it is quite evident that none of its employees have any f***'s to give. It's been well over an HR and there's only one worker in site with a line of customers not smiling at all. This place needs new management. I order pizza from them at least 3 times a month.
