Last night, I was craving some fast food, and more specifically Pizza. It was late and Domino's was the closest place open. They had a 50% off special. $14 for an Extra Large Pizza. It had been at least 10 years since I had ordered anything from them. So, I decided to give it a go. I don't remember if their Pizza used to be good or if my taste has evolved because of how much better restaurants overall have become over the past 10 years or so. But here was my experience. I ordered a pizza with Mushrooms, Pineapple and Asiago cheese. I ordered on line and the whole pick up experience was less than 20 seconds. I walked in, i gave my name, the Pizza was handed to me and I walked out. No other words were exchanged. So nothing much to say about the service. I quickly get in my car. I'm driving Home with a hot pizza. The anticipation of the smell. Anxious to have a bite. You know the feeling. :) As the heat from the pizza is slowly released into the car, the first thing that i notice is that it did not smell much like the smell that you would expect from a hot pizza. It was honestly a smell that i cannot really describe. Maybe that of the cardboard box. At this point the anticipation quickly faded and turned into mere curiosity. I get home, i sit in front of the Tv, i open the box. The pizza looked good and at this point it was just warm and the smell had faded. I grab a slice, take a couple of bites and here is my take.. Although the dough was chewy and had no taste other than salt, i did not mind it because i do like doughy, salty bread in general. However, if you've ever had vegan cheese. That's what the cheese tasted like. When melted, it tends to be gooey and sticky. It can be Very much off-putting if not combined properly with the other ingredients. The mushrooms did not have any flavor and the canned pineapple was maybe the saving grace as the sweetness along with the saltiness of the dough disguised the rest of this disaster. This experience was the perfect reminder as to why I had not ordered from Domino's for so long. It also reminded me that looks can be deceiving. I regularly order pizza from this location on my way home from work. I usually order online through the app and the order is always ready when I arrive. The staff at this location are very nice and welcoming when I enter. The pizzas, especially the new pan pizza, are always well made, plenty of toppings and the additions to the order are always followed. I've never had an issue with this location. Worst service ever! Took my order to deliver across the street from their location. Should have taken 20 minutes and 45 minutes later I call to find out where my order is and they tell me I never ordered anything! Then I go on my credit card and sure enough they charged my card. Will not be coming back. Ordered a large pizza, 10 wings with coupon and cinnamon twists. Was only given 8 wings and the cinnamon twists did not come with the icing. Online it says it comes with one icing and any additional will be charged. I selected 0 icings because it says one is included and if you select the option for "1" icing it charges you extra. I suggest if you order from here do it over the phone and double check everything before you walk out the store or get delivery. We spent $50 on food plus tip to be let down, what a waste and a terrible experience. read more

Incredible service! Diane & team went above and beyond to ensure we got the correct order tonight (and quickly too!) I've been ordering from this Domino's location for years and have never had an issue with an order which is a testament to how great this location is. When they accidentally delivered the wrong pizza tonight, we didn't want to make a fuss but flagged it in the app as there was a price difference between the pizza we ordered vs. the one we got. Within less than 10 minutes from the delivery of our original order, Diane dropped off the correct pizza and was very kind and apologetic about the mix-up. Absolutely would recommend! Placed an order two days in advance of Halloween since it's so busy. Arrived only to find out my order disappeared from the system and they were backed up 45 min. They eventually found my order but that didn't take away my panic. And it looks like the order is going to be delayed. One employee told an unhappy customer that if he wanted his pizza on time he should have arrived at 4 and not 5p. How is that the customer's problem? Either you get him a pizza at the proper time or you don't take his order. A 45 min delay is insane. ESP when people are planning Halloween events with kids expecting dinner. Ridiculous. read more

Just got my pizza delivered and unfortunately was given the wrong items. Instead of putting the food away so I decided to still take it and they were kind enough to credit me my pizzas for the next time that I went in. Thought this was very cool of them without me having to ask, great customer service and I appreciated the fact that they acknowledge they made a mistake and were able to find a solution to help fix it without me having to ask. Dominos used to be fairly inexpensive compared to other pizza places. Not anymore; I paid $29 for a large pie with only four toppings!! Pretty disappointing since it is the closest to my house. Be careful of this dominos. We ordered pick up delivery yesterday and they gave our order to another person. They then called the person who got the wrong order and had that person drive back. They then tried to give the pizza that physically left the store and with another customer to us. How unhealthy and unsanitary that is and shows either pure laziness to remake one pizzq or how they are breaking several health code violations. read more

Normally like Dominos but this location is questionable. Ordered delivery at 8pm, it never showed up. Called them at 9 to check in, they said sorry it will be there shortly...an hour later, no pizza. The pizza and wings were okay. Not great, but okay. The service was good - we ordered for lunch delivery and got the correct order in a timely manner. The portion size was pretty good - I was so full from my pizza and wings lunch that I didn't even need to eat dinner! I just think the food could have been more flavorful. read more

On Christmas Day my aunt was in the hospital unexpectedly and we couldn't find anyone to bring food to her son who can't drive and has difficulty with his mobility. Well... we live on the Navy base and ordered food to pick up. When we went in the guy at the register dropped the fork on the floor and then picked it up and started to open the lid to the dominos box. My husband was like wtf are you doing? The guy looked up and my husband said "you just dropped that on the floor and you're really going to put it in the box next to our food?" And I swear he looked up and said "uh yeah" I couldn't believe it! Now I'm wondering how many things have been dropped on the floor and just placed back in the box?! read more

I have to say the pizza was delicious and got a call from the store and they apologized for the service. The driver was professional and apologetic so he was a true professional. So good job. I will give credit where it is due. I've never had a problem with this store in the past but hopefully this is a one time mistake. Next time just use two boxes. read more

I've ordered from this location several times without any kind of incident. I like the ability to order online for a specific delivery time. This evening was a different matter entirely. After ordering for a 9:00 delivery, I called the store at 9:15 and was informed that there was a great deal of traffic at the bridge. Given that the construction has been going on for more than a year, I felt as though my intelligence were being insulted. Especially after looking on the order tracker and seeing that quality control had been completed at 8:41. After speaking to the driver upon his arrival (9:30!), it turns out that it has nothing to do with the traffic, but that they only had two drivers! It just seems to be a recipe for failure to accept delivery orders with specific times associated with them, yet not employ enough personnel to ensure their arrival. After watching the commercials, I did decide to give Domino's another chance, but I don't think that there will be an opportunity for a repeat performance. read more

My son ordered pizza for me as a surprise and paid for it and gave a nice tip. When delivered the driver wanted me to pay for the entire order in cash. I gave him $25.00 and told him I would make sure that my son would take the charge off of his charge card. He gave me $20.00 back pocketed $5.00 and said that was a great extra tip for him. Since my son already tipped him, I consider this ripping people off for extra cash tips as a great insult. Called in and ordered their 2 medium 2 topping pizzas for $5.99 each. It was my first time eating Domino's since they changed their recipe awhile back. Honestly, it was between meh and A-OK. Too greasy/oily but they were generous with the toppings. Overall crust was just alright. Probably won't be back to order Domino's again. For a Domino's Pizza, this is one of the best stores around. We order several times a week from here on-line, track it with the company's cute app, and I know within 5-minutes when the delivery will arrive. If consistency is key to a successful business, than the Seal Beach Domino's must be a top performing franchise for the store. The app is a really nice feature, since I can go outside to meet the delivery person and prevent the chaos that ensues when someone knocks and the dogs start barking. Also, I've freaked a few of the delivery people out knowing their names too! It's funny. The app tells you the proper name of who prepares, cooks, quality checks, delivers the order. The pizzas, sandwiches and chicken dishes are always delivered on-time, hot and cooked just the way we ordered them.The salads are fresh and crunchy. I gave this store 5-stars (no it's not a Michelin Star rated restaurant, so my star ratings are relative to other Domino's and restaurants like them), because it consistently exceeds our expectations. read more
