Family favorite pizza place! We do take a lot from Pizza Parlor. It travels very well. Tonight we went with Chef Mike's Veggie and the Double Trouble (Meat Lovers) pizzas. The sourdough crust is always the star! Chef Mike Veggie pizza is tomato sauce based with mozzarella cheese. Veggies included pickled red onions,olives. Tomatoes, red/green bell peppers, spinach and mushroom! Loaded with veggies! Tasty pizza! First time trying and definitely will be ordering again. Double Trouble is always our usual. Come here if you want to get some great pizza if you're in the area. I placed my order online and the estimated expected time for pickup was about 10 minutes off but they apologized for the inconvenience. Definitely recommend ordering at least an hour ahead of time if you don't want to wait. They just opens within 10mins so their weekend wasn't available per informed by the staff. I got 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 sausage/pepperoni for $26 which is not that at all. All their dough is sourdough so it's a twist but flavorful for sure. They do have other salads (which they are prepping), sandwiches, and desserts (not quite done yet) too but was there for the pizza. Easy order and got seated, they brought the pie out once down. The pizza ingredients are good quality and you can tell. We got The Blanca pizza on one half, the pepperoni and pineapple on the other half and was so good. Came here with high hopes and excited to try this place after several friends said they liked it. Unfortunately, the excitement faded pretty quickly. Came with my gf on Valentine's Day and we were the only people here. The woman who greeted us was very friendly, but that was the end of the positive experience for us. The food was okay... definitely nowhere near how it was described by others. But one of the employees/managers (not sure) was not singing, but screaming badly along to the music playing. Fine if you're in a kitchen away from guests, but this is 5 feet away. It felt like we upset him just by visiting the business. It felt like he wanted to make us leave... but why? Then when the food came, it was served in plastic to go containers with plastic utensils and the thinnest napkin. Fine, but not the dining in experience we expected. I think that makes the biggest difference so crunchy and delicious. Hubbie usually leaves the crust on the plate (he's not big on bread). He ate all his crust. We ordered the double trouble pizza, which is sausage and pepperoni. Typically we eat a couple slices and take the rest home. But it was so good. We ate the whole pizza. They have local craft beer in the can in a case next to the counter. I had the 714 blonde ale. Hubbie had a hoppy IPA I can't remember the name. They will give you a chilled glass. It's not close to home but I had it on the radar to try. Parking is nuts, something must have been going on, I got lucky. The spots are super narrow. Easy to order, friendly, no attitude. The pizza, everything about it was fantastic. The crust, unique, flavorful, crunchy all the way through. Sauce, strong tomato flavor, it really stands out as, I can't think of any better I've ever had. Cheese, you can tell it's high quality, very good. Basil, generous, fresh, very good. Overall, I can't think if I've ever had a better pizza. Ginos in Chicago is on the same level but theirs is more like a casserole than a pizza. This here is 11/10. One problem, I'm ruined now. I'll be honest that I don't always love sourdough as the flavor can often be overpowering. What's nice about their sourdough crusts is that there is nice, airy honeycomb structure in the crust without having that dominating sour characteristic. On top of this, the flavors of their pizzas are interesting. In the past, I really enjoyed their Bacon Jammin, which has bacon, bacon jam, pickled red onion, and red sauce. It sounds odd, but it's a really tasty slice. This visit, I had their Authentica Papa, which had bechamel sauce, sausage, potato, rosemary, and hot honey. The sweet honey balanced out with the salty, spicy sausage, the herby rosemary, the starchy potato, and the garlicky sauce. The firm sourdough base gave a nice chewy crunch. My wife loved the spicy vodka sausage pizza, which had mozz, spicy sausage, basil, pickled red onions, and vodka sauce over the sourdough. Again - the sour pickled onions balanced perfectly with the sweet, tangy vodka sauce and the mildly spicy, salty sausage. The balance in flavors is a huge reason that these pizzas are special. The pizzas run for about $23-26, but the quality is high and I think that the pizzas at pizza parlor are truly a special addition to the LB community. read more

I ordered the la taco, and chef mike pizzas, and my friend ordered the meatball sandwich. The pizza was outstanding. The meatball sandwich is a step above any meatball sandwich out there. We saw the pictures and we read the reviews and thought this place sounded amazing and it was a very close 10min walk to where we were staying. We ordered a half and half pizza online for pickup and spent over $30 for pizza and a 4oz container of ranch. They told us it would be about 20min when we ordered so we got ready and left. We got there probably 15min after we ordered and grabbed two cokes while we waited. I tried to pay with cash and was told he might not have change to give me. I said that was ok even though it's pretty lame that you don't keep change in your register. He happened to find a very large coin bag and made me change. We were sitting right at the front and you couldn't miss us. They asked us a few times what our name for the order was and we told them the same thing every time. Finally after about 10 min they asked us for the 3rd time what our name was and then walked away. We could hear someone say "the order for Kymmy didn't leave they are here" or something along those lines. We kind of just looked at each other. The guy that rang us up came over and said, "sorry something happened to your pizza it'll be another 20min or so". At this point we had already been waiting about 15 min for the pizza. So we said ok because we were starving. One of the employees asked us if we drank wine we said no we didn't and that's why we were drinking cokes. He said, "ohh, okayyyy..." and gave us a very judgmental look. Like sir, you don't know why we aren't drinking. We also kind of figured he wanted to give us a few beverage for the mix up. But that was the end of it. We heard someone say our name and we asked if ours was ready and one girl acted like we were being impatient while waiting. Like we didn't just wait over a half hour for food. Finally our pizza was done after a total of 40 min and there was very minimal apology for the delay. We took it back to our hotel and we were so excited it smelled so amazing and it looked so good. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were when we took our first few bites. It was not that great. We had ordered pepperoni and the veggie pizza. We ate half of it because we were starving and very quickly regretted it. I found this place on Yelp and we were so glad we did. Wonderful pizza! Great crust and inventive types. We had the LA Taco (who knew birria pizza would not be my favorite?) and Jammy Bacon - so fully of flavor and a little zingy in your mouth. We also got some baked goods to go for breakfast tomorrow.
