The pizza pretty good but a little pricey. Got a couple chicken sides that very, very tasty.

Worst food experience at ANY location of ANY restaurant anywhere. I have eaten food in 3rd world countries that I'm sure were questionable body parts from animals I didn't want to know about. I have been fed food that I would question violated the Geneva convention. The food we received from the Solvang Dominos tonight is the most offensive, most disgusting food I've ever been served. I ordered an Italian sandwich, a new pepperoni stuffed cheesy bread, and a pepperoni sausage thin crust pizza at 5:15pm to feed my family. The delivery estimate was 31 minutes. I thought it was going to be a great deal since they had emailed me a coupon saying each would be $6.99. Well, after tax, delivery charge, and tip (because the delivery charge does NOT go to the driver), I was in for $35. Fine, I'm in still, I don't want to cook tonight. The app is pretty cool and you can track your order. My order goes into the oven pretty quick. At 5:26 (11 minutes later) the app showed my order in "quality control". I guess that means it's cooked, and sitting there getting cold waiting for a delivery driver. So, cooked and finished in 11 minutes. Then finally, my order is picked up and on the move at 5:54, 28 minutes later. I'm hungry and excited at this point. Food should be arriving soon. I'm sitting with my wife at the table with my lobster bib on, and a side of ranch, freshly grated Costco Parmigiana Reggiano and red pepper flakes at the ready. At 6:15 my order is marked delivered in the app. I jumped from my seat as if Santa Clause landed on the roof and I had been a good boy all year. I rushed to the front door and look through my peephole hoping to see the steam coming off the pizza box as it's being walked to the door by Caden (who the app told me was my driver.) Nothing, I see crickets, and I think the lifeless soul of a prior Solvang Dominos customer drift by my front porch as a restless ghost, still hoping for some delivery from their past life. Another 12 minutes goes by and I finally get a knock on the door. Over an hour after I ordered. The young delivery driver, who I commend on working and earning his way in life, hands me my boxes and thanks me for the tip. I brought the boxes in and set them on the table and began to unbox our late, yet highly anticipated meal. I have attached photos so I don't need to explain the disappointment; the complete lack of any care or quality put into the food we spent money on. I did not have high expectations of our food having ordered from Dominos before... but what we received made me feel that they were intentionally trying to offended us. I'm pretty sure they burned the bread on my Italian sandwich because it had been previous cooked, was dried and stale, but threw onto the grill to "revive" the sandwich instead of making a new one to order. As a former chef of an award-winning restaurant, I know all the tricks, and I know the lines you don't cross. It's clear the Solvang Dominos has no lines and no interest in having satisfied customers. This is a tourist town and they are probably used to sending garbage and never having to hear from that customer again. Well, I'm a local and have ordered from them too many times. This last time was ABSOLUTELY one too many times. I actually called to complain for the first time ever, and was told by the manager that well, it's Saturday night (remember I ordered at 5:15pm) and that they would not do anything about my complaints. I asked for a refund since the food was beyond low quality and was told that I MUST bring ALL the food uneaten, back to the store and put it on their counter to be evaluated. I was shocked. This is your company policy? So, after throwing $35 down the drain, and feeling offended enough to write this review, I leave it as it is. If you've read this far, make top ramen, eat a piece of cardboard, send to kids to sleep hungry. All those choices would be better than ordering from the Solvang Dominos.

Our server Hally greeted us the moment we sat down. I asked her for an appetizer recommendation and she immediately named three with no hesitation, no hedging, no "everything's good here." We landed on the calamari and the Truffle Gnocchi, and that gnocchi was the surprise of the night. Not a lot of places do gnocchi at all, much less one built this well. Spinach dumplings, grilled artichokes, and a black truffle cream sauce that stayed balanced instead of heavy. Exquisite is not close. We both ordered the filet mignon. Perfectly cooked and tender enough to cut with a fork. Hally checked on us the whole night without ever being pushy or hovering. She was warm, welcoming, and completely professional; the kind of server who clearly takes pride in her work and is a real asset to the ownership team. This meal alone would bring us back to Solvang.

It didn't have the energy that the main dining room has but our party was 9, so we understood! The service was not that great. Didn't like our snotty waitress and the food servers were also rude. The food was meh this time. The bruschetta was salty, the ceasar salad was tasteless, the chicken piccata was lousy. It barely had any sauce, the potatoes were dry and looked like Terds, and the spinach had a long, black hair wrapped in it. The chicken parm was great and so was spaghetti. The pane cotta was pitiful. They cut back on the portion size. Tiramisu was bleh and they served us melted spamoni! All around bad night, August 4th! Unfortunately we will not return.
