Great and fast service. Excellent work by the hibachi chef to serve us great food. Started to get busy but it was not too loud.

    Teriyaki, chicken and vegetables

Walked in look very dark I asked to do hibachi she asked me how many in my group and I said it's just me and she said oh no, he sat me down in the dining room. A group of sex was walking behind me and she sat them down at the hibachi bar. the soup is really salty in the salad which I love the ginger salad was like thick paste will not come here again. The dinner was very good. I just didn't care for the way she treated me because I was dining alone

My favorite hibachi that I have been too in Bloomington so far. The service was quick and made sure our party was taken care of. I recommend this place because in the hibachi meal you also get noodles and do not have to pay extra for them.

I pretty much just come here to satisfy that sushi craving on my lunch breaks only. Its the only sushi spot that I can make it to within my hour lunch break....and it usually takes more than an hour. The salad they give is just iceberg. I like the dressing....but its is less than basic salad. The sushi is OK. Nothing super creative or over-the-top. Atmosphere leaves much to be desired. This was an old Tumbleweed restaurant, and the cactus and bullhorns are still around. Never had that in a japanese restaurant. I say it's good enough to pay lunch prices. They have a strict rule at their hibachi tables that at least 1/2 the group must order hibachi. This caused violent arguments between me and staff on my birthday....

Domo is a great sushi and hibachi-style restaurant. I'm not a big sushi person but those who are love it. I'm a fan of hibachi, as are my kids. Good service, great food. BEWARE they are not open for lunch M/T/W, but are other days. As long as one of the chefs doesn't accidentally cut my head off, I'll remain a happy customer!!

Went here for my husband's birthday and it was wonderful. They gave us a show and they gave us good seats even with 25 people.

Ami was chosen as a family favorite and a place close to campus, where the oldest daughter (now a Junior at IU) could show us around after the meal. Note: Ami could sure use a new exterior sign. Ami is mainly a Sushi restaurant, but has Korean accents, of which my Cupbap bowl (Chicken and Rice) was quite good. I'm completely clueless regarding Sushi nomenclature, but I did know that those choices (in generous quantity) were enjoyed by the other 5 folks at the table. I was the only one that ordered beer, of which my Upland Dragonfly IPA choice had just the right amount of bite and at only $5. We also had a nice roomy table by the window. Service was friendly and prompt, albeit a bit uninspired. It was a very good family outing.

The fish was all the cheapest types, including tilapia which is pretty awful in sushi. No nori, no tobiko, no ikura. Two pieces of hamachi. Not particularly fresh. The sushi selection #2 was a little better. There was one piece of squid that included some nori and was well prepared. Tiny decorative amounts of tobiko were present. Soy sauce included was all high salt content. $82.00 Not ordering from Ami again.

I thought the country music threw off the vibe a little. The staff were very polite. I would say the pace of service was leisurely but not nearly as slow as I had feared given some of the reviews. If anything, I had to wait a while to order after I was seated, but my food came out in a totally reasonable amount of time after that. I had the unaju and tempura ice cream. The salad that came with the meal was very basic, but the unaju was good. The eel was very flaky. The daikon tasted a little funny to me though. The presentation in the box was very nice. I really liked the tempura ice cream too. I've only had tempura ice cream once before, and this was a little different with a coating that was less crispy and more cakey. It was big, with two very generous scoops of ice cream. Good size for sharing. I felt like everything was worth the price and I would eat here again.

Excellent Thai restaurant with high marks for food, service, and atmosphere…read more I've tried the Thai fish cakes, sweet and sour saute, pad bus sa ra com, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea and coffee. The savoury dishes were all super flavourful, cooked well, and generously portioned. Maybe this has something to do with the dishes I got, but I think the flavours here are generally more intense than the other Thai restaurants I've tried in Bloomington, and their spice levels might be a little higher. I've been somewhat underwhelmed by level 3 (out of 5) at other places, so I tried level 4 the first time I ordered here, and it was a little too hot, so I went back to level 3 the next time, and it was just right. The Thai tea and coffee were both very good, especially the coffee. It almost tasted chocolatey. The service is consistently on top of it. I was there on Valentine's Day, and they were slammed but had enough staff on the floor for it; the food was quick as usual and everyone was still very friendly. I also love the atmosphere here. The building is one of the converted houses on 4th St, and there are different dining rooms, some with lots of windows, all filled with interesting decor, and there's also a very nice patio during the warmer seasons. The only problem here is, unless there's a back entrance I don't know about, I don't think the building is wheelchair accessible; you have to go up a few stairs to get to the main entrance.

There are a few tables inside and outside but everything is packed to go. I ordered a Godzilla roll. The cashier was nice and my roll was prepared quickly. The Godzilla roll was inexpensive but small. At first I thought the roll also had an uncharacteristically fishy taste, but I think that unexpected flavor was just been cooked fish. The fish was thinly sliced and I didn't want to dissect the roll to confirm, but that's what it seemed like. (Also, it's been more than 48 hours and I never got sick, so it probably wasn't bad fish.) The menu description of the Godzilla roll just says "4 kinds of fish", so it's possible that includes cooked and I just wasn't expecting it. A more specific description would have been helpful. I liked the roll inside a roll concept, but didn't really like the combination of cooked and raw (or whatever was giving it that specific taste) and was left wishing there was some sort of vegetable in the roll. I But for cheap sushi, there was nothing else really wrong with it, it just wasn't to my taste. I'm not itching to go back, but if I wanted sushi or similar fast again, I'd consider giving them another try to see if something else appeals to me more.
